I use the authentic Apple charger and my ipad 2 won't hold a charge after installing ios 7. What is the fix for this miserable wasteful upgrade that made all of our iPads unusable ! I Shut off location, turned off brightness, shut down and took off apps. WHAT NOW for my iPad ?

Batteries eventually fail, and it sounds like that's happened with your iPad. You'll need to take or send it Apple to get the battery replaced. See:

Just recently my ipad quit holding a charge. What used to last me all day has turned into only a couple of hours. Is there a setting or something I can change to regain the charge I once had. My I pad is only a couple of months old.

Try turning off the following:
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Push>OFF

My iPhone 4S won't hold a charge after updating to iOS 6.1.1

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their battery draining after updating to iOS 6.1.1?

My phone has died. It does even show the batter low symbol - Taken to Apple Genie, they told me now to pay £139 as its a hardware fault. Told them Im a true apple fan, but they didnt give 2 sheets!!!!
If Only I could turn back the clock and NEVER updated the IOS 6.1.1
Anyone reading this:- If your phone is out of warrenty and was one of the 1st batches of the 4S - DO NOT update this as this will kill your phone as only way to fix is pay apple £139 for a refurbished handset!

Question pretty much says it all...
I upgraded to iOS6 and now I cannot connect to anything using cell/3G/4G. Error messages say odd things like 'Your iPhone is not configured properly'. Odd that an iPad would say this!
So I CAN use the iPad For now via wifi but when I turn on the cellular data under the main Settings screen, there are no options/buttons to access my AT&T data service, check my account, etc, like would normally be there with iOS5. The poly options available are to either turn on cellular data and to set SIM PIN..
When I turn on cellular data, it goes to 'Searching...' in the upper left of the screen as it would normally do if I was out of range of a cell tower or something and just keeps 'searching'.
So...any thoughts? I'm unable to find a place to look at my AT&T data account anywhere under settings to verify that it exists and the iPad is 'touching' it.
I'd prefer not to wipe clean and start again from last restore but I am at the end of my creative and technical capabilities.

everytime i want to connect to internet with any apps on my iPhone, i have to connect from a Wifi first.

but batteries get worse and worse and worse over time until they die a software reset will not change that

I am having the same problem with my 4S since the last update. It was shutting off at 38% now today it shut off at 50%. It's driving me nutz and is not very reliable. Some one please suggest something to do. I was wondering if I should eliminate some apps that just updated one by one to see if that helped or just go through that nasty reset. Having the updated apps stay on the Update page in the App Store app is a new feature. It is especially usefu to those that have auto app update turned on. You then have a record of the recently updated apps, the new features they have and when they were updated.
Are you charging your iPad with the wall charger that came with it or by some other means. The wall charger is the best way to charge the iPad. If it is failing to fully charge a reset might help. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
