My iPad 2 Wont charge from my PC after 5.0.1 update! Any ideas as welcome?

Recently updated my iPad today and and then tried to charge it from my PC,. Walah, it doesn't charge anymore! I've use several usb slots and restored the iPad but still getting nothing! Anyone experiencing the same problems? £650 ***?

Even if it says 'not charging' it likely still is, just very, very slowly.
Most USB ports are not capable of putting out the 10W taht the iPad needs to quickly charge.
Are any of the USB's you tried a hub? the iPad didn't care for them before, likes them even less now.

Why wont my iphone charge from my computer after ios 7.1 update?

I have a windows 8.1 PC. I use it for work. I also have an iphone. Today, I updated the ios on my phone to 7.1. During the update, the phone was connected to my PC usb port with the apple charging cable to keep it charged. The update finished, and I noticed that the battery was at 66%. It was 100% before I started the update. There was no lighting bolt/charging symbol. I disconnected the phone from the computer. I plugged it into the apple wall charger. It charges from that. I tried another apple cable on the PC. Still no dice. I do get the sound from the PC that a device is being connected/disconnected when I plug/un-plug the cable from the phone on the PC. When the phone is connected to the PC, It won't show on "this PC" as any device. I did try re-starting the PC. I did update Itunes, and did a back up of my phone before the update, using the exact same cable.

I found the solution on my own. I opened task manager, admin, computer management, device manager. I scanned for harware changes. Apple mobile device came up with an ! symbol. I right clicked and updated the apple mobile device driver. It took about 15 seconds, but...
I never had to do this with any computer on my iphone 3 or 4G on any computer. Would have been good to know, apple.

I got an Ipad 3 as a gift 2 weeks ago, it charged normally, but now, my ipad 3 wont charge, i tried charging it with the wall socket, it still wont charge, so i tried using the usb and connects it with my Mac, it still wont charge, I even tried pressing the home button and power button at the same time, can someone please help me?

When you connect the USB cable to your Mac, does it indicate "Not Charging"? If so, the cable is probably OK. Then the charger may be the culprit. Make sure the 30-pin connector is fully seated in the side of the iPad.

The current provided by most USB ports on computers is not sufficient to charge the iPad. It may charge but the not charging icon will show, and the charge rate will be quite slow.

My Ipad 4 wont charge on its original 12W wall charger

My Ipad 4 wont charge on its original 12W wall charger but when i charge it to an ASUS 7watts charger it runs and goes 100%. Thus Its cable is good.
Please advise what would be the next move to address this issue. I dont want to use other brand of charger just to use and appreciate the new 12W adapter.

So when you use the Apple charger it doesn't work but when you use the Asus one it does?
Suggests to me that the charger is bad.
If your charger is less than a year old, make an appointment at your local apple store and take it in. It should be covered by the warranty against manufacturer's defects. If it's out of warranty, you can buy replacement chargers at any major retailer. (I got one for my iPad at Walmart)
Just make sure to get an Apple one, not a knock off.

Hi When you change your iPad, even if its off it will, turn on when you connect, to charger Check lightining port for any bits. Do a Reboot press &hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo This may help. Cheers Brian

Your iPad doesn't have a camera!!.... Didn't you say your iPad was an iPad 2 ??
If your iPad is an iPad 2 then it will have a camera (front and back) and will be able to update to iOS 7.
The first iPad's last update was before iOS 6, and you said yours was saying 5.1.1 was up to date, then it is probably and iPad first gen not an iPad 2.
So to answer your question.... You can't update to iOS 7 because your iPad is a first gen not an iPad 2.

Hello, i usually charge my iPhone 6 from my Mid 2012 13" MacBook Pro, lately the phone just wont charge from the macbook, i tried different cables but it still wont work.
The iPhone charges from the wall adapter with the same cable but my Macbook doesn't.
I tried restarting both the iPhone and the macbook, which didn't help..
Anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue?

iPhones require their own charger which came with it because the computers' USB ports do not supply enough power to charge the phone's battery.
