Can anyone tell me why my iPad Air will suddenly stop in the middle of an application, (usually a game), and return to
my home screen? Thanks

(A) Try reset iPad
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until you see the Apple Logo.
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Close all apps in the multi-task window
1.Double-click the Home button.
2. Swipe the app's preview up to close it.
3. Preview will fly off the screen.

My MacBook Pro will suddenly quit while I'm working on it and restarts itself.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion with a 27-inch Apple Cinema Display connected to it that I use at work. I am an art director so I am constantly in Adobe Creative Suite 6. In the past month my MacBook Pro has suddenly quit on me while working and restarts itself TWICE. This time I was listening to a downloaded album on iTunes and the music started to skip right before the computer crashed and restarted itself. Has anyone ever experienced this before? It doesn't freeze up or anything like that, it will just unexpectedly go into Restart mode & the computer restarts. Everything is fine once it restarts but I am wondering if I should be concerned or if someone might know of a repair solution I could do on the computer. Should I run Disk Utilites to see if their is an issue? Would appreciate any comments and suggestions and feel free to ask may any question. THANKS!!

If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

Ipad 1 Browser stops responding and returns to home screen

My boss's iPad1/Safari will stop responding when reading Wall Street Journal and other news paper pages and close out and return to the Home screen where you can restart the browser and begin again.
iOS version is 5.1.1 on a 32 GB device with 12 GB free
Anyone havwe any thoughts, Time to replace device or reimage it?

Ighnot, are you jailbroken? Cause I am and I have the same problem except worse. I can't save a single pic, every single time I get the thumbnail grey box with jpg in it and the actual pic is black. Is there a Contacts or Address Book app for the iPAD AIR? Can I take the address book data off my iMAC and put it on the iPAD AIR, or can I take the Contacts off my iPHONE and put them on my iPAD AIR?
I'm really a beginner, so please make answer basic.

You would have to link your iCloud account to your ipad, you can find iCloud in Settings>ICloud there you can then link your Apple ID and make sure contacts is on!

Iphone 4 quits in the middle of apps / games / ipod -

New Iphone 4 (4.2.1) continuously stops in the middle of any app and returns to the home screen. I've closed all safari windows and shut down all apps as well as turned the phone off then back on with no luck. Any suggestions?

Same problem here, iPhone 4, with 4.2.1 using the iPod app that comes with the phone, music quits after 4-5 minutes. Other apps quit as well. I have shut down all apps, rebooted the phone, still have the same problem.

Click on the blue Internet Recovery in nbar's post. That is a link to what computers can run Internet Recovery.
Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.

New iPad Air will not sync contacts and calendars to Outlook. Set up device in December, tried to sync today, Feb. 8th, after updating to iTunes 11.1.4.62; message appeared that iTunes could not sync contacts to the iPad because the sync server failed to sync the iPad. Uninstalled 11.1.4.62 and installed 11.1.3.8 and still would not sync. Synced an earlier generation iPad about 2 hrs. earlier today. What do I need to do?

I'm having a similar problem ... just used my iPad 2 to purchase the Bourne trilogy and it downloaded fine but I did not try to play it right away. Then I plugged the iPad into the computer and it downloaded the SD versions of the movie and I used iTunes to sync my movies. Then I tried to play it and it said it could not open the movie. I then did a full iPad restore and did a fresh sync and now I get the Cannot Opne pop up. Did you ever find an answer to your question?

When I try to open the slide to upgrade screen comes up and then the request for passcode and then the apple loading screen then Hello then update completed screen I select continue another apple with line showing progress then asking for password enter then Message and Face time a screen

I've read through lots of threads on this but I can't seem to find a good solution that I haven't tried.
If I can get them to download them on my iMac computer, can I then transfer them to my iPad? How is this done? (Please pardon an older lady's ignorance, and thank you for any assistance!)
