My iPad and iPhone aren't allowing me to receive email
Neither the iPad nor iPhone will receive mail. Both would several days ago but not now.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

How do I get my iPad and IPhone synced where if I delete an email off one it is deleted off the other device? I can get all the Apps and music from one to the other but why won't the emails I delete off one not delete off the other? Is there anyway where I can make this happen?
As James says, make sure that you are using the IMAP servers for your email. You will need to check the help pages for your email provider to get the correct settings in all your devices. POP really doesn't fit the needs of todays mutiple access, always on internet, so you are better off moving to IMAP.

I upgraded iTunes last week, and since then, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPad and iPhone. I want to change some of my music, but can't change anything!! Any one have ideas as to how I can resolve this issue? I've tried unistalling and then reinstalling iTunes with no luck.

I have a few new season passes. Each one came, of course, with email notifications of new episodes. I'm able to turn those notifications off through the iTunes store interface on my laptop. But when I try to shut them off on my iPhone or iPad, the app lets me get all the way to toggling the notification option to "off" and pressing "done" before saying that the iTunes store "cannot process [my] request at this time."
Here's what I've done to try and fix the issue so far:
1. Logged out of, and back into, my account on the iTunes store;
2. Turned my iOS devices off and back on again;
3. Made sure my iOS and iTunes software was completely up to date; and
4. Contacted Apple customer support.
That last option produced the following advice from Apple's representatives:
A. Log out of, and back into, your account on the iTunes store;
B. Turn your iOS devices off and back on again;
C. Update iTunes to the latest version;
D. Update your iPad and iPhone to the latest iOS version;
E. Use another app that does the same thing as iTunes;
F. Uninstall and re-install the iTunes app; and
G. Let us know if the problem persists.
When I let Apple know that (1) my account functions just fine on the full iTunes program, (2) the software on my devices is completely up to date, (3) both iOS devices continued to suffer the same problem after multiple restarts, and (4) options E-F don't appear to be possible without jailbreaking, a representative referred me to Apple's webpages on generic iPad troubleshooting. She also admonished me not to jailbreak my iPhone or iPad because they'd then be jailbroken---and that's bad.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? How did you fix it? Apart from just using the full iTunes program, that is---I don't take my laptop on the road with me when I travel, which can be for weeks at a time, so I'd like to be able to shut these notifications off through the app interface if at all possible.

My friend who is handicapped recently upgrade her iPad2 and iPhone 5 to ios7. Immediately her iPad and iPhone showed over 60,000 pieces of mail. Has anyone heard of this happening?
Try a reset ..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
See if that makes a difference .. -

Hello I have a problem - I live in France so this might be something to do with my service provider (orange). But I can't work out how to continue to get my emails on my mac mail application on my computer when I have icloud switched on on my iphone and ipad. I receive my emails on both iphone and ipad but not on my computer. It's as if my computer has become a slave to my ipad.
I can disable the icloud service for mail on my iphone but then I can't send emails from my second account from my iphone (I have both a .mac account and another account). When icloud is switched on and when I'm using the g3 on my iphone, when I receive an email on my orange account all I have to do is change the address from which I am sending an email in the "from" line from my iphone and I can reply from my phone.
However if I switch off icloud on my iphone I can indeed reply from my .mac address but not from my other address - ie the drop down menu doesn't appear which means I have to copy out the original email if I wan to reply in detail.
But if I keep icloud switched on I no longer get my emails on my computer - only on the server. I think there ought to be something I can switch over on icloud but I don't know what.
Any ideas?I would understand it if you checked email on your Mac, and then those messages were not available on your iOS devices if you had the advanced account setting "remove copy from server after retrieving message:" set to immediately.
I looked through my iPhone settings and don't even see an option to tell my phone to pull the only copy of a message and delete it from the server.
Possibly there is another setting in Lion (I am running Snow Leopard still) that tells your Mac to only synchronize mail to your iOs devices and is not pulling mail directly from iCloud.
You could try disabling your current iCloud email account in Mac Mail, and adding a new one and just telling Mail it is a standard IMAP account (imap.mail.me.com incoming and smtp.mail.me.com outgoing).
I did that for Leopard to get my email even to work after MobileMe is cancelled and it seems to work fine with my iPhone.
If that doesn't work, you can delete that new email account and re-enable the temporarily disabled iCloud email account from above.

Ipad and iPhone not able to send photos via email or text
My iPad2 and iPhone (5s) are not able to send photos via emails or texts. They communicate with each other in sharing the photos but I can't send them out anywhere. Anyone have suggestions?
You can choose Outlook Express by following steps:
1) Launch Starter Edition.
2) Choose Edit menu >> Preferences or press Ctrl + K, to launch preference dialog.
3) Choose Email from side menu on preference dialog.
4) in Client, 'Send Email Using :' set"Outlook Express" and press 'Ok'

My iphone has lost all data when trying to sync with my computor.
I have an pad with most info on, but not keen to sync with that incase that data gets lost!
I joined icloud but cannot retreive from there as its not accepting my icloud account! Help!
If I sync phone with ipad is it likely to work safely to retrieve info as both are apple devices?.ps when syncing it jumps through steps 1 - 4 real fast, i seem to remeber iphone showing the number of tracks transferring and names, but i see nothing? then it sits on 5 saying "waiting for changes to be applied"

How do I get iMessage to be the same on iPad and iPhone
My understanding is that whatever conversations I am having on iMessage on my iPad should also appear on my iPhone and vice versa. In other words, if I start a conversation with you on imessage on my iPad, the identical conversation should be on imessage on my iPhone. Is this true? If it is, my iPad and iPhone aren't in sync this way. What do I have to do to get them in sync so that they are identical?

my MacBook Air keeps asking me for my YAHOO password; which when correctly entered will not allow me into the account. iPad and iPhone both working on the same password.
I've got automatic downloads turned off and I tried signing out and in via the settings and still keeps asking me for an apple id.
It doesn't do it continuously, it'll just pop up randomly ... if the phone is just sitting there it may ask for my apple id and regardless of whether I press cancel or enter my password nothing happens .. it may be another 2mins, 5mins, 15mins but eventually it'll just randomly pop up and ask me again. It does accept my password though because I tried entering an incorrect password to see what happens and it gives me the error saying it's incorrect, so when I enter the correct one in the box disappears and it accepts it as I say, but only for so long before it pops up again.
