My ipad and iphone aren't recognized by iTunes??

Is there anyone else with this problem? I can connect and download from iTunes but my devices don't show up on screen anymore. What gives?

Since upgrading itunes, my iPad and iPhone aren't recognized by iTunes. Anyone have any ideas on a resolution?

I upgraded iTunes last week, and since then, iTunes doesn't recognize my iPad and iPhone. I want to change some of my music, but can't change anything!! Any one have ideas as to how I can resolve this issue? I've tried unistalling and then reinstalling iTunes with no luck.

Hello!
Yesterday all works fine. I connected my iPad and iPhone to iTunes and they were synced. But now, they aren't displayed in iTunes.
I am using Lion and iTunes 10.4.
Furthermore, i noticed, iTunes doesn't start up by plugin my devices since i installed Lion. Is this normal?

I have recently upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8.1 Professional however, now my iPad and iPhone are not recognised in iTunes. I have checked Device Manager and the iPad is listed, I also asked it to update the driver but it informed me that I have the most up to date version. Can anyone help please?

Many thanks for your prompt reply however, I found this post and it worked perfectly. I hope it helps other users.
Plug your Ipad USB cable into USB port.
Go to your Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, then click Device Manager.
Click on Portable Devices, and you should see Apple Ipad shown (or whatever apple device your using).
Right-click the Apple Device your using, and choose Update Driver Software..
Click "Browse my computer for driver software."
Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer."
Click the Have Disk button. (If the Have Disk option is not present, choose a device category such as Mobile Phone or Storage Device if listed, and click next. The Have Disk button should then appear.)
In the "Install from Disk" dialog, click the Browse button.
Use this window to navigate to the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).
Click OK in the "Install from Disk" dialog.
Click Next and finish the driver-installation steps. Open iTunes to verify that the device is recognized properly.

Since installing lion, my mac no longer recognises my external hardrive also my ipad and iphone no longer automatically start itunes.

since installing lion, i can lo longer go to "my imac" and find external hard drives and other devices i plug into a usb hub. my ipad and iphone don't automatically open itunes only iphoto. my external hardrive used to also load automatically, now it doesn't and when i plug it in i can't find it. need some help i have some importanr things i need to transfer.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I get a message that my ipad and iphone cannot connect to the iTunes store. I have tried to sync books to my iPad and iphone and i get the message that I cannot connect to the iTunes store and thus cannot sync a book to my books app. Why?

I get a message that my ipad 2 and iphone 5 cannot connect to the itunes store when I try to sync a book to my book app. Although, when I click "store" both are able to access the itunes store. Why is this? Also I tried to open a book that was synced and a message that I did not have enough memory to load this book popped up--when I know that I have well over 40gb of memory left in my ipad and over 16gb left in my iphone. The message that I cannot connect to the itunes store is strange that it offers no option and I have to hit OK to get out and use my ipad or iphone.

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and changing the date to a few months (or maybe a year or two) in the future and then re-trying

My iPad and iPhone wont connect to my iTunes Library.

My iPad Air and iPhone 5s wont connect to my iTunes Library on my Macbook Pro.
Both will see the library and try to connect but as it reaches 1/4 of the way it stops.
If I turn off my iTunes Match on both devices, the full library loads on the iPhone only. I can go into the library and it will play. Does iTunes Match have to be turned off?
On the iPad, it shows the that shared library is connected to but it wont allow me to move off that screen. It freezes. I push the home button and it closes. I can reopen but it is no longer connected to the library. I cannot get further than this.
My Apple TV works perfectly connected to the same library.
I dont have more than 5000 songs in my library or more than 10 movies and 300 + episodes of TV series.
Any ideas to what could be causing the issue with the iPad?

Forgot to mention. Have tried obvious things like rbooting Mac and iPhone and iPad with no success

I have Windows 8. Itunes is not recognising either my ipad or iphone. I have googled and read much about this problem and associated solutions all of which I have tried except the solutions tend to be windows XP or Vista based. Can ANYONE help me. I've not backed up either product since January when i first got the pc and itunes actually worked. Thanks in advance

Ipad and iPhone no longer connect to iTunes, just get spinning wheel

I have a iphone 5 with the latest IOS software and a Ipad 3 again with the latest IOS software and I used to connect them to my macbook pro 2013 model (Maverics) through a USB cable for backup purposes. Now when i try to connect to Itunes all I get is a spinning disc and no functionality.

Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.

Ipad and Iphone will not detect via Itunes

Ok here is the issue,
I have IPhone 4 Verizon and Ipad 2 3g Verizon.
My Ipad2 screen broke and I received a warranty Ipad 2 but my Dellinspiron with the Intel 3400 chip will not detect on iTunes.
Windows 7 see it and I can pull photos off. I worked with Apple onissue and at store with 10 reps. my old I pad detects just fine and my IPhone but any other
IPhone or I pad will not detect. I have tried and wiped ITunes, QuickTimeect ect and even went into registry and deleted all files and still same issue.
It’s boiling down to the Intel chip 3200 and its almost lookingfor a certain IPhone or I pad and will not detect any other but original phoneor pad.
If anyone is experiencing a similar issue let me know. I have been allthe way up the ladder at both apple and dell and still the issue looms.

If any other info is needed let me know. I have both the diagnostic test for my laptop and itunes.
I can post diagnostic from CPU if needed.

This is reported quite often.. more often the iphone than the ipad.
Reset the TC and do the setup again. This time setup wireless manually.. use no spaces and only alphanumeric characters in any name and password.. TC name, wireless name, wireless password tc password if you set one.
Set wireless to manual not auto, and give 5ghz a different name.
Set channels.. this is the important part for iphone as it can only use 2.4ghz.. so set channel 1, 6, 11 in turn. These are the only non-overlapping channels.
Set wpa2 security.
You should be able to get the iphone to connect.. if not remove the security until you do and try again.

Hi I have a IPad and iPhone in sync with my iTunes on my PC. I'm soon to be getting a 5 so the wife will be having my 4. Is there away I can download a new iTunes library to my pc and open each library separate when I plug in that device?

Can I have 2 seperate iTunes library's on my pc so mine and wifes devices don't mix up or can you only have one active iTunes library per pc?

Under iTunes, in the 'info' tab have you enabled them to sync with outlook? you have to choose that and turn it on. It's not on by default.

How do I get iMessage to be the same on iPad and iPhone

My understanding is that whatever conversations I am having on iMessage on my iPad should also appear on my iPhone and vice versa. In other words, if I start a conversation with you on imessage on my iPad, the identical conversation should be on imessage on my iPhone. Is this true? If it is, my iPad and iPhone aren't in sync this way. What do I have to do to get them in sync so that they are identical?
