My iPad and iPhone will no longer sync to iTunes... help!

My iPod and iPad will no longer sync to iTunes and I have the lastest updates on all devices.

Try one or more of the following
> Restart your computer
> Uninstall & Reinstall iTunes (iClarified - Mac OS X - How to Completely Uninstall iTunes (Mac))
> Reset iOS device (will NOT delete everything) [Settings>>General>>Reset>>Reset All Settings]
> Restore iOS device (will delete everything)
> Make sure both iTunes and iOS firmware is up to date.

Hope this helps.

  • From today both my iPad and iPhone will no longer charge

It's the weirdest thing. My Iphone & Ipad will no longer charge. They both worked/ charged fine yesterday.
I have tried various other chargers for my iPhone as we have other Apple equipment at our house & they all charge fine.
The lightning bolt is not appearing when charging & nor do either of them beep when charging. My iPad is not even 6mths old!
And isnt it weird that its both? Is that a hardware or iCloud problem
    Please can someone help.

First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.
    Do same for iPhone.

I have an iPhone 4 and have always been able to connect to my lap top via USB and it would connect and sync to itunes automatically. However, it no longer connects or can be found on itunes when I connect my phone to my lab top. How can I fix this? I have tried updating but both my phone and my itunes are all up to date. Please Help!

  • HT1386 my iPhone will no longer sync with iTunes.  running a pc with win 8/64bit

why won't my iPhone sync with iTunes?  i'm running latest version of iTunes on a PC OS Win 8/64bit?

It's ridiculous how difficult this is.  I've reinstalled iTunes, played with the settings, and it just doesn't work.
It will happily sync my computer library (which has nothing in it) with my phone library (589 songs) thereby (presumably) wiping out the 589 songs.
But I can't get it to sync the other way and copy the iPhone library to the computer.
It also puts new CDs on the computer but not on the phone, where I want them.
Is there anyone at Apple that cares about this abject stupidity in the software?

  • Ipod Touch 4g will no longer sync with iTunes - help!!!

I have an iPod Touch 4 and am using the latest version of iTunes 11.0.2.26 but can no longer get my ipod to sync with itunes.  When I click on Sync I get the message 'waiting for changes to be applied' then 'finished' but it does not sync.  I have completely restored my ipod and have uninstalled iTunes, Apple Update, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple Mobile Device Support before reinstalling iTunes.  All my music in iTunes is from my own library rather than purchased from iTunes.  It all used to work fine and I feel I've exhausted all my knowledge in fixing this and need some assistance.  Can anyone help?

Seems like you've tried the most important steps in troubleshooting, so that's good.
What I'm wondering is: when you deinstalled iTunes and all those other things, did you do it in a specific order, according to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 for windows Vista/windows 7 or http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925  for windows XP  ? I don't see Apple Application Support in the list of components you deleted. I would recommend removing everything again in the specific order using the article you need and trying again to sync.
Also: try creating another user account on your computer and syncing again, because sometimes software issues are user-wide.
hope this helps, keep me posted

  • IPhone 4 No Longer Syncing to iTunes -- Help?

I hope I am posting this in the appropriate section, but I could really use some help. Last week my iPhone 4 arrived, and I've synced it twice with my computer already, and it's worked fine. But I have been trying to sync it with iTunes for the past two days, and nothing is happening. I plug my phone into my computer, the phone says that it is charging, and the pop-up that asks if I want to upload the photos on my phone to the computer comes up, but it never syncs. I know the phone still has space because it is a 32 GB phone and I only have 800 songs on it, and less than 20 photos, and only a few videos. I've tried restarting my computer, and rebooting my iPhone, but nothing seems to be working.
    Any suggestions? Thanks!

Follow the steps with this link - some you have already done.

My ipod nano will no longer sync with itunes since i purchased an iphone 4s and synced the phone with itunes.  When I plug my ipod into my imac, it does not even read or recognize my ipod.  What do i do?

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable?  Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?

  • My iPad 2 will no longer Sync with iTunes on my computer.  It tells me to Restore which I don't want to do as I may lose valuable information from my iPad. My wife's iPad 2 and my ipod still Sync OK. How can I overcome this?

My iPad 2 will no longer Sync with iTunes on my computer.  It tells me to Restore which I don't want to do as I may lose valuable information from my iPad. My wife's iPad 2 and my ipod still Sync OK. How can I overcome this?

Upgrade to Snow Leopard - it's compatible with the latest version of iTunes, and still supports PowerPC applications.
    $19.99 - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

  • My nano will no longer sync to itunes.  I tried to restore nano and received error message 1437 that nano could not be restored.

My nano will no longer sync to itunes.  I tried to restore it and error message 1437 said it could not be restored.  Any thoughts on how I can sync or restore?

    Good day billoelwein,
If you are having an issue with your iPod nano being unable to restore,  you may want to first try resetting the iPod. See the directions in this article -
Reset your iPod - Apple Support
If the issue is still present after a reset, you may need to restore your iPod nano back to factory settings. See this article -
Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • Both my iPad and iPhone will not update apps

Both my iPad and iPhone are neither updating installed apps not installing new apps via WiFi (or 3G) but can be synced via my Mac when the new apps/updates are downloaded on the computer. This appears to be a recent problem (past few days): all I get is "waiting" for every app/update needed to be installed. I have tried a number of hardware solutions (restarting, logging out of my iTunes account) to no avail. There does not appear to be any download in my iTunes account that seems to be "hung up". My hypothesis is that it may be an authorization probalem and I can't help but think that it maybe related to last week's corrupt binaries problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
