My iPad apps keep crashing

Hi!
I Got my iPad a month ago, and was working great. I really loved it and keep taking it everywhere I go.
The problem is, all the apps that came with it (safari, mail, youtube, etc) keep crashing now. I mean, I tap to inicialize them, they open, stay blank for 5 seconds or so and them go back to the main screen. It ***** because I don't want to download a different app to browse, and I would like to see youtube every now and then. I have alredy reset it, and it didn't work.
Can anyone help me?
What should I do?

PROBLEM SOLVED
I installed iOS 5 on my iPad 1 when it came out in October 2011. Everything worked fine. Sometimes around the beginning of January, apps began to crash. First it was a few a week, but by the eginning of February, most of them would crash after running for a few minutes. Many would not restart untill I did a full reboot. My iPad became essentially useless.
After fighting this problem for almost two weeks, reading as many forums as possible, I did many things that DID NOT solve the problem. Here they are in the order I tried them.
Removed all working programs and rebooting the iPad - no effect
Removed over 50 apps (from 200) that I was not really using - no effect
Restored network setting via setttings - no effect
Restored all settings via settings. This re-installed everything via iCloud - no effect
Connected my iPad to my computer and did a restore and used a previous backup - no effect
Then, I remembered that other people were having problem with iCloud and that I had added services to iCloud around the beginning of the year. So I
Went into settings >> iCloud and disabled every iCloud service except the Find my iPad service. I rebooted my iPad and I have been crash free for three days.
So the problem IS iCloud.
Apple knows that there are other problems with iCloud and plans to fix it in the next release 5.0.2. In the meantime, try my solution and report to this forum if it works for you too.

  • Why does my 1st gen iPad apps keeps crashing

All my apps for my ipad keep crashing is there any thing I can do about this

Closing apps typically indicates that the app is crashing.
You might try restoring your iPad by plugging it in to iTunes (latest version: 11.0.4).  Let it sync, then choose "Restore ..." from the iPad's summary page in iTunes.
You may wish to be selective in which apps you restore to the iPad, as one or more may be corrupt.

  • V1 iPad apps keep crashing

I am at my wits end. I have been having problems with my v1 iPad for the last month or so where applications just quit at random. I cleaned as much stuff off the pad as I could to ensure there was enough space to operate. I updated to iOS4.2.3 (will probably do 4.3.3 tonight). When both of those failed I did a complete factory restore. This seemed to help the problem for a couple of weeks but now it is back and just as bad as ever.
Has any one experienced this problem and if so, did you find a way to fix it?
At this point I am really concerned that I have a hardware issue and by 16 month iPad is turning into a brick.
    Thanks.

First off, unless the iPad literally has no free space -- under 100MB, or 0.1GB free -- you don't need to worry about "cleaning stuff off. " Just use as much storage as you need. And second, even if you bought it on launch day, it's only 13 months old! Did you in fact buy it right at launch? If you waited even a few weeks, it's still under warranty.
Is the iPad completely resetting, with the Apple logo appearing spontaneously, or are apps just quitting to the home screen? If the former, and it occurs even after a complete wipe and restore, I'd say it is certainly a hardware issue. I'm assuming that's *not* what's happening, though, given how you phrased your question.
If individual apps are just crashing, you should gather more information on which apps quit. Is it just third-party apps, or is it Apple's built-in apps as well? Are they more likely to crash after the iPad's been in use a while, or does it happen just as frequently right after a reboot?

  • Ipad apps keep crashing after latest download, why and how can I fix this?

  • My fairway solitaire app keeps crashing. On 2  iPads. Both first generation. I had this app for one year with no problem. What can I do to eliminate crashes

My fairway solitaire apps keeps crashing on 2 iPads.  Anyone having this problem. How can I solve

Fairway Solitaire is a very large app because it has nearly 1000 unique holes to play. Because of that, many devices get bogged down over time. I find that if you shut off your device completely and turn it back on, many of the sluggishness or crashing is solved.
Also, just as Apple recommends with any app, remember to back-up your data to iCloud often. Fairway Solitaire saves data locally (to your device) and not to the cloud yet. The developer, Big Fish Studios, said that they are building the game to save to the cloud, but that hasn't been implemented at this time.
If you do not back-up your data via iCloud, you may lose all progress, golf bucks, stars, cups, trophies, and records if the app or the device resets itself.

My iPad 1 apps keeps crashing. I have closed all running background apps, reset by holding power and home buttons but nothing works. Please help its starting to get very frustrating and annoying.

What exactly do you mean by "crashing" and is it occuring on a specific app or under specific circumstances?

  • Why does my iPad 1 keep crashing on apps?

I want to know why my iPad 1 keeps crashing after so long on an app, it seems to be on the majority of my apps that I have on here, just wondering what it could be, is it a internal fault or is it a app thats causing the problem.
If anyone can help me on this would be appreciated greatly!!

  • Apps keep crashing after upgrade to ios 7 ipad2

After upgrading to ios 7 most of my apps keep crashing on ipad2 why? Do i need to re-install them? Please help

i am having the same experience (as well as several other problems) since installing iOS7 on my iPad2. The apps briefly appear to open when I tap their icons, but then disappear. double tapping the Home key to bring up the multi-tasking view idicates that the apps are running in the background but, I cannot access them.
This fiasco began because I was unable to login to my One-to-One account after the iOS7 update. I spent 4 hrs on the phone last night, with 4 different people from Apple support, restoring the iPad to factory settings & then restoring the image from my iCloud backup, only to end up with the situation described above. And I still can't login to my One-to-One account, plus I amnow also unable to access the iTunes store. I am sure there are other problems that I have yet to discover.
This has been such a "Windows" experience that I find myself wondering if Apple truly has lost its mojo & mystique. Are their pretty products worth their premium prices? More importantly, are they worth the frustration I experience, & the time that lost from my life, in trying to resolve problems with their"improvements". If asked today, my answer would be a very loud & resounding "NO"!!!!!

  • My iPad 2 keeps crashing when using iPhoto.

My iPad 2 keeps crashing when using iPhoto. Have cleared my 'open' apps, reset and restored the iPad, reinstalled iPhoto. But same result when editing pictures imported from SD card. Seems like iPhoto is built for the quad core GPU of the new iPad? Pretty a waste of my $5 until I get it to stop crashing. I'm on OS5.1. Thanks!

It works on the ipad 2.  I heard of an issue where if you have too many photos in your library may cause app
to crash.  Try to uncheck but a few of your albums in your library in itunes.  Sync.  See what happens.

  • Mail app keeps crashing after Yosemite update

I just bought a new MB Pro a couple of months ago. Hardly any apps installed.
After the upgrade to Yosemite the mail app keeps crashing when I launch it. I have read a lot of other topics but I can't find a solution.
Anybody out there who can help me? Or should I just wait on an update for this?
    Regards
    Rob

Did a clean install of Yosemite after issues with constant crashes on a mid-2010 MacBook Pro. Then tried Migration Assistant which hung up forever (12 hours) at 7 minutes to go. Forced quit and rebooted. I tried this after the initial reinstall transferring files from the worthless non-function software rouse called "Time Machine" which should be renamed "Waste of Time Machine". So I have spent endless hours on various Apple support forums on Time Machine, Migration Assistant, and Apple Mail forums, with dozens of users with similar or the very same issues. The most striking thing in all these forums is that there are no "this solved my problem" posts, and any response from any Apple support person or employee is 100% absent. I have used nothing but Macs since 1987. In the last few weeks I've spent more time trying to solve Mac computer OS issues than using my Macs. The Tim Cook era is starting to mirror the Ken Scully era when Apple was the company you loved to hate. Lovely hardware designs -- crappy worthless software. No mail, no 8000 image iPhoto library (despite two levels of backups) - no way to recovery that I can discover. Spaceship buildings, silly watches (which I predict will go the way of the of the Newton), daft Siri, and complete lack of focus on software that actually functions with the pretty hardware. I love my iPad and iPhone, but I see Windows and Android in my future, after 27 years of blind, and in retrospect, misplaced Apple loyalty. The Apple Titanic has an iceberg dead ahead of it that it is too blind to see.

  • Ipad air keep crashing + low on memory

Hi, ive noticed that my iPad Air keeps crashing in ordinary use. Really often Safari crashes, when many (3-6) tabs are open. Ive noticed too that device is running low on memory. My iPhone 5 never crashes and has over 170mb more RAM free when idle.
I have some print screens to show you what is the situation here.
Ipad air memory when idle : http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7327/12264936015_4d9d088efd_c_d.jpg
    Iphone 5 memory when idle : http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7381/12264936005_dac4d4b7a3_c_d.jpg
Then I open six (6) popular tabs in Safari witch I use in everyday basics,on both devices.
    Ipad air : http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7445/12265091343_4bda47553e_c_d.jpg
    Iphone 5 : http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2881/12265091253_1851bf51c7_c_d.jpg
Then I check the memory in both devices and this happens.
Ipad air memory under six Safari tabs open : http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2805/12264935955_d08c7f7bb0_c_d.jpg
Iphone 5 memory under six Safari tabs open : http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2823/12265091283_ba01493ed9_c_d.jpg
So,the ipad memory is nearly empty when only using safari with few basic websites. Normally Im using same time also Spotify with airplay and check youtube videos etc. Then the Safari starts to reload tabs and usually apps starting to crash randomly.. This is frustraiding.
So, conclusion. When I started this test I rebooted both devices, then let then be idle for 5-10mins. Both devices use "Sys Status" software to check memory.
    MEMORY ON IDLE:
    iPhone 5 = 586mb
    iPad Air = 416mb
MEMORY UNDER STRESS (Six tabs open in Safari)
    iPhone 5 = 451mb
    iPad Air = 145mb
So the iPhone 5 memory drops 135mb and the iPad Air memory drops 271mb ! Whys that ??
With this test, its obviously clear that iPad air has bad memory problems. Maybe the software update can fix this ? Or should I go to the dealer and change the device to new ?

  • Newyorker app keeps crashing

Both my Newyorker app and New York Times app keep crashing. But the Newyorker is the bigger problem. It will open up for a few seconds but before I can do anything it closes again. I've reinstalled in twice already and it works for a while but then the crashes start again. Sometimes shutting the iPad down helps but only for a while. How can I fix this permanently?

Wondered it you'd resolved this.  My New Yorker continues to crash.  I did contact them and got a note suggesting I send my log with instructions on how to retrieve that.  I got the idea, though, that it was more to provide info to them as they work on stuff, rather than actually so they might help me.  I didn't send as I checked the log and there was no mention of the New Yorker app in the log.  Not sure why.

  • Why is my Ipad calendar keep crashing?

What is causing my calendar on my IPad to keep crashing?

I'm now experiencing the same problem using same iOS and iPad 2.
In Australia, so shouldn't be the holiday issue I read about that US people experienced and only noticed it starting now, September 2014
    Have tried:
    Standard reboot
Closing Calendar using the minus sign strategy in another post somewhere on this forum
Restarting without taking my fingers off buttons until screen goes black, then apple icon appears
    Have not tried:
Back up, then restore - I don't want my apps linked to my iTunes/computer and am worried I will lose apps if I do a restore and will then have to spend a lot of time downloading and installing them all
Upgrading iOS - worried I'll lose apps and as above
I suppose, the lesser of the evils would be to sync the apps to my iTunes/computer. As it would take far less time to get all the apps back on the iPad
Any further advanced suggestions based on above?
    Thanks in advance
