My iPad book cover dyed my white iPad.

The inside of my iPad book cover is a maroonish color and it seems to have rubbed off onto my white iPad. Luckily I have a clear screen protection on my iPad to protect from scratches and other things, so the dye did not get directly onto my iPad. It's only on the screen protection. Is there anyway I can get this off? Any cleaning products or suggestions? Of course, it is not affecting the performance of my iPad. But it is really bothering me! Please help! Thanks :)

Quit the app and restart.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

I have tried to delete Purchased Books in iBooks on my IPad but they won't delete. The books show a cloud icon in the upper right corner. How can I delete them?

The cloud icon means that they are only in the cloud, they aren't currently stored on your iPad, so there isn't anything to delete. You can turn off the showing of the books that are in the cloud via Settings > iBooks > Show All Purchases 'off'

Book won't download on iPad

My copy of "The Ascendant" successfully downloaded in iBooks Mac, but will not download on my iPad or iPhone. I've tried deleting it from both iDevices. In both cases, the book was relisted as download-ready in iBooks, but the download failed at what appears to be the same point (book cover faded out, no progress bar). Any suggestions as to how can I fix this?

1. Make sure the book appears within your iTunes library on your computer - if that's not already the case, use the "Transfer purchases" feature in iTunes after connecting your iPhone
2. Then sync iTunes with your iPad and make sure to have enabled iTunes Book sync.

Black vs white iPad 4

I am looking into buying the new iPad 4.
Lately I have been trying to find out which is best to get, the bLack iPad or the white iPad. I know that both have the same screen and that it's mainly a matter of personal preference but I do understand that there are thing to keep in mind depending on what you would use it for. I will use the iPad for:
-watching movies and videos
- filming and taking photos
-playing games
- editing photos and video
- texting, email
-drawing
What colour iPad works best for these uses?
Also I want to get the red Smart Cover or smart case so which colour best matches the red?

The color of the iPad will have no impact on any of its fucntionality. It is purely a matter of asthetics. Personally I prefer the black, but when it is all said and done, doesn't matter. The case will work regardless of the color as well. Red goes with white or black equally as well.

Will iPad Smart Cover stain iPad?

Sorry if this is a stupid, OCD-related question... but I just bought white iPad with Retina and red leather smart cover to go along with it.
I'm thinking about whether or not returning the case, because I read a message somewhere that the interior of the red case can stain the white lining around the edges of the ipad.
Is this something I need to worry about? Or am I just being paranoid?

If you are thinking about putting a screen protector on it, I know a simple trick how to avoid dust under the protector. Go to a room with closed windows, close the door, sit down with the iPad at a table and wait for around 3-5 Minutes without moving too much (while watching tv for example). Most of the dust should be on the floor, and not in the air anymore. Now you can clean the screen of the iPad and put the protector on the screen. Don't worry about trying two or three times, without the dust, you can try much often to get a perfect result. I already put 4 screen protectors on tablets and more than 15 on phones and iPods :-)
The glass shouldn't get stain, it is too slick for the material to stick on the glass.

Smart Cover doesn't put iPad into Sleep mode in Unlock position after iOS 8.3 update

Prior to the iOS 8.3 update, closing my Smart Cover would put my iPad into Sleep mode when in the Unlock position. Since the update, this function no longer works in the Unlock position. In the Lock position, I hear the click and the iPad does go into Sleep mode. Since I am the only one using my iPad, I don't need it locked when at home. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

i solved my problem. i refer my iphone 5 to a local distributor. a repairman checked my iphone and i described my problem. he checked my battery. it was fine! then after an hour excavation around hardware solution he told me that the charging kit crashed because of heavy mobility usage!
yes. i did not covered my phone with any cover. the cpu pressure by ios update crashed the kit! now my phone get back after the kit changed and work finally. i restored my phone to ios 8.2 now.
i'm going to buy new iphone. but i'm really confused if such this issue really happened for iphone 6 too!!!!!

How can I redirect iTunes to my ebooks after it lost track of them, so I can get back in sync without erasing the books (and notes) on my iPad?

What I need is for my books which are on my iPad to be synced to my mac, and not vice versa.
The iTunes library lost track of all of my media. Everything's still there and for songs its no big deal to simply reimport (from the directory which never moved, but which iTunes stopped pointing to for some reason.) But for my books, which have notes and highlights, I don't want to erase whats on my iPad and resync with the current state of my books on my mac

I will address your second question.
First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs. If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option. Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone.

If her iPod is set up to sync automatically with iTunes, then simply configure the iPod so that the track is removed from the Shuffle during the next sync operation. For example, if the iPod is configured to only sync selected tracks, then make sure the track you wish to remove doesn't have a tick mark next to it in your main iTunes library.
If you manually manage the iPod's contents, you must manually move the song from the iPod via iTunes. Plug the Shuffle in, and then click on the small black triangle next to it's device name from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to open up a submenu. From there click music. Locate the track you wish to delete. Highlight it and hit Delete or choose Edit -> Delete.

I have multiple phantom books in ibooks on my iPad.They are no longer on my mac, but continue to show up as multiple ghost- unfinished downloads on iPad

I have multiple copies of phantom books in ibooks on my ipad. By phantom I mean, that they appear to be partially downloaded. They will not resume downloading or allow deletion. None of these books are on my mac, they have been deleted. These are books were not purched from the apple store, they are simply book files that I had on my mac. Any ideas on how to rid myself of these pesky epub and pdf files? Thanks Dan

Try deleting iBooks app from your iPad and then download the app again to remove any previous books that were downloaded or attempted to download. Then just download your books purchased again.

You can. Why do you think you cannot?
If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
You can then listen to it on your computer.

Does Apple iPad warranty cover cosmetic damages?

I have the iPad smart cover on my iPad 3 and after some time I've noticed a few scratches on the side of my iPad. Only a cosmetic thing, but wondering if apple one year warranty covers cosmetic damages. It was their faulty cover and error in creating a protective cover. So, again, will the warranty over it?

I'd take it into an Apple Store and ask, but I doubt the one-year warranty will cover minor stuff like cosmetic damages. I imagine it only covers problems like the iPad just suddenly dying on you for no reason. It might depend just how bad the damages are, too.
HOWEVER, if you really really don't like the cosmetic damages you can get AppleCare (I think it's around $99 for iPads) and they'll replace it for you rather than having to pony up $500+ for another iPad.

How do I add Books tab in library on iPad.

How do I add Books tab in library on mac iTunes. I m using mac iTunes version 11.1.5 and I could not find books option in its preferences. I have .pdf file to add in.
I managed having Books option in Devices << my iPad but I cannot manage to have in library. Also I went through app on my devices and I could not find iBooks app.

Okay so I have that option in tabs up to the right. However, I cannot find option to add a book to sync. I am attaching screenshot. First screenshot is for a book that I want to add and second screenshot is where I dont able to add book to. Also ignore the book that appears in second screenshot. But because there is no books in Library sidebar in the same place where you can see Music and Movies are the only options I have, and if I have books option there then definitely I can sync. so thanks for trying but I am still looking for a solution...
