My ipad deleted everything
I downloaded iTunes onto my laptop. Then I connected my iPad to the laptop and it was syncing for a while. When I came to my iPad, everything had been deleted! Is there a way to recover all my music, apps, and photos? I don't have anything on my iTunes either. Super sad. =(

That's why your iPad was erased. You should have received a message in a pop up window from iTunes that iPad contents would be erased and replaced with the contents on the iTunes library - which in your case was apparently nothing at all - so when you synced the iPad - you replaced what was on the device with your empty iTunes library.
If you were backing up with iCloud, you can restore from the iPad backup to recover most of your content.

If you were not backing up at - and you should have been doing so - you can download most of your purchased content again as long as you use the same Apple ID that you used to purchase the content - and as long as the content is still available and the content is available for free re downloads in the county in which you live.

XanYes - erasing the device is part of the update process. But everything should be restored if you do it properly.
What you should do anytime that you update the device is to transfer purchases from the iPad into iTunes - File>Transfer Purchases - and you should backup the iPad as well. When you update the update the device, if something goes wrong, you can restore from the backup.
However, iTunes should ask if you want to backup before you update, but just in case create the backup yourself before you update. The backup contains your app data and settings - along with other items - so make sure you backup first.
If you have any other important files, you may want to transfer them to your computer as well, prior to the update.

Ok, I have deleted EVERYTHING off my 16gb ipad. Photos, music, apps. All I have are the standard apps. It says I have used 11gb and only have 1.6 left. When I first bought it I had up to 4 movies and lots of apps, no problems. What's going on please!?

On iPad mini, and year ago my iMessage stopped working ! Took it to the store n they reset everything on it! Still couldn't get iMessage to work.

The problem I'm having with my Bible +1 App wasn't solved by resetting my iPad. I was told to then delete the App and re-install it, but if I do that, won't that delete EVERYTHING within the App, like all the highlighting and Notes? And I'm sorry to say, I'm extremely technologically inept - only had this iPad since mid-April and the first piece of computer ANYTHING in well over 15 years with my son - and we never had the InterNet. The reason I'm telling this is, I'm not even sure HOW to re-install an App. Sorry.
If the app continually fails to run the delete and renown load might help. But yes, you will lose everything that you have done with the app unless there is some way to back up the info to your computer or another device.
You might also contact the developer of the app to see if they are aware of the problem and are working on fixing it. The developer info can normally be found in the information on the app provided in the App Store. -

My iPad music seems to be corrupt. Can I delete everything including the back up so I can re-load afresh from my iTunes library
In my iTunes library on my Macbook Air everything is OK but whenever I syncronise after an update a back up is made and then re-loaded.
Can I delete this back up somehow and load direct from my iTunes Library ?Depending upon what problem that you are having with the Music app, have you tried closing the Music app via the iPad's taskbar and seeing if that helps ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Music app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't help then you can delete your music from your iPad and re-sync it back to it. A device's backup doesn't contain the contents of the Music and Videos apps, when you do a restore it gets those from your computer's iTunes library and not from within the actual backup, so deleting the backup shouldn't make any difference to that - if you want to delete the iPad's backup from your Mac then go into iTunes > Preferences (command-comma), and on the Devices tab select the iPad backup and click the 'Delete Backup' button. -
My iPad mini won't install the latest update because there isn't enough stprGe. I have deleted everything from my iPad and there still isn't enough storge.
Connect your iPad to your computer and run iTunes. Select your iPad in iTunes and try to run the update there. Updating requires a lot less free space on the iPad when updating through iTunes on a computer because the update files will be downloaded to and extracted on the computer.

I think you misunderstand... iCloud backups are stored in the cloud and not on the PC. So, if you do an iCloud backup, it won't take up room on the PC.

Help! I have bought music directly onto my ipod, i have also bought films and music directly onto my computer from itunes, how can i put them all onto the computer? My ipod is acting a little odd and i think its going to break at some point, so i really want to save everything i've bought.
