My ipad disconnects my home network even the wire ones eveytime I use the internet (trough apps or browser or even email.)
Everytime (since I update to IOS 5) I try to use the network the ipad disconnects me, none of my other devices can't use the internet. I can use all my other devices while I'm not using the ipad to go to the internet (again, even my wire PC.)
I have followed few advice from here (resetting) and the problem remains the same, right now I'm not using my Ipad at home at all since it disrupts/disconnets/reboot my router I mean what do I need an Ipad for if I can get online. HELP!

How about some details on what make, model and version router you have and how it is configured?
What you have sounds like a bug in the router firmware or hardware. Check for a firmware update to your router on the manufacturer's support web pages. If you can't find any get a new router.

Yes. You will need to enable file sharing on your Mac Mini (via Sharing in System Preferences) and then you will need to port forward all your ports (since I don't know exactly what file sharing method you will be using) of your Mac Mini via the AirPort Utility.

I live in a student house where 5 of us are all connected to the same house network. The other day both my Ipad and my laptop lost connection to the internet and I was unable to see my home group as an option to connect to on my laptop, but once i restarted the router I was able to connect again. However my Ipad still is not showing the option of my home network, even though it was previously connected to it for a couple of months prior. I know how to make all assessed networks appear on your laptop, but I have no idea how on my Ipad. Any suggestions please?

Try restting your iPad.
Reset iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off".
If that doesn't cure the problem try Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings.

Acessing Home Network Over the Internet

I have a home network setup with a linksys BEFSR81 wired router with my iMac connected to the internet through it. I also have a PowerBook G4 that I use at my office. Using Apple's new ARD 3.0 software, is it possible to control and access my iMac through this setup. Note everything is set now to the most basic network setup. I am looking for something secure such as a VPN, how would I go about setting this up?

You would need a VPN Server capable router. The one's I have used are SnapGear (now CyberGuard) and Cisco. You might be able to get one from Linksys as well for cheap.
Your BEFSR81 also doesn't support Dynamic DNS services and is a pretty basic router relatively speaking.
This is not a trivial configuration and you willl need a lot of knowledge to get it accomplished.
If you can live with something less secure:
Step 1. Set the IP Address of your iMac manually.
Step 2. Forward ports 5900 and 3283 both udp and tcp to your iMac's IP address.
Step 3. Find out what is the WAN address of your router.
Step 4. On your Powerbook away from home, type in the WAN address in the addess field of ARD.
Step 5. Click "Control" on ARD and enter your short name and password of the iMac.
I would recommend you hire a mac consultant to make sure your network is secure if you are worried about vulnerabilities.

If I do that, other messages follow. I am usually able to switch connection, but can have only one device on internet at a time. Tried to correct problem using Airport Utility, but failed.

Unfortunately, there is mass confusion about whether a device might be a modem or a modem/router since the terms are mixed up all the time. Even though a device might have only one Ethernet port, it can still be a router.

It is not a modem.....it is a modem/router. If that is the case, then the AirPort Extreme is not the only router on your network....it is one of two routers, and it should be configured to operate in Bridge Mode.

Ipad will connect no problem to other networks.

First thing you need I think is to get your iMac connected to the Internet.
Shut down your iMac and you iPad. Then power off your router. Wait 30 seconds and power up the router.
After the router indicates that it is connected to the Internet then start up your iMac and see if it connects. If the iMac connects to the Internet then your iPad should too.
If this power up sequence doesn't work you'll have to dig into the router setup to make sure it is working properly.

How can I send a print job to a shared printer on our home network? The iPad uses this network's WiFi capability.

It depends on the printer. iOS devices can only print directly to AirPrint printers. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are capable of using AirPrint.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint compatible printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac computer running Printopia ($19.95 with free trial) or handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options may exist but you're on your own finding them.

These options enable you to use any printer available to your network, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades.
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device.

Just curious. Have you opened disk utilities application in the utility folder and select your drive, and run repair permissions. This may or may not help. It also may take awhile if it has never been done. Good luck!

Some things to try first:

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.
