My ipad doesn't pick up wifi, help?
My Ipad2 doesn't list networks that are available. My friend has a ipad and in the same location there are 15 networks listed. I've reset the network settings and nothing happened. I don't know what to do. I need advice.
Hi
What´s your IOS Version? 4.3.3 ?

My Ipad doesn't connect to wifi while all other devices are connected.
My iPad doesn't connect to wifi anymore while all other devices in the same network are connected including iPod.
iPad was connected this morning, but quit connecting since this afternoon.
It tries to connect, but everytime connects, it disconnect within a second, and it keep doing the same thing.
This is the first time ever I see this problem since I started using this iPad.
What happened to my iPad??Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

IPhone doesn't pick up wifi automatically
Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Often my iPhone doesn't pick up wifi when I come into a wi-fi zone and stays on GPRS until I go into setting, wifi and then it picks up the network. Sometimes it does it automatically but it's annoying when it doesn't. It sometimes does the same with network signal if you go into a 'No Service' area and then come out of it it often takes a long time to pick up the network signal again. What could be wrong?
These are wi-fi networks your iPhone has connected with previously?
If not, your iPhone won't automatically connect to an available wi-fi network unless your iPhone has successfully connected to the network previously.
You can try resetting network settings at Settings > General > Reset.
This will erase all saved wi-fi networks and settings your iPhone has connected with previously and require manually re-joining every wi-fi network your iPhone has access to when returning within range of such a wi-fi network. This will also reset your cellular network connection. -

My iPad doesn't respond to wifi
I have wifi through AT&T. On my iPad 2, sometimes the page I am trying to access will not load. When this happens, I turn off my iPad 2 then turn it back on and it works fine. This happens at least once a day. Please help. What can I do to fix this.?!?

I use SpeedPort W700V from German Telekom as router for my WiFi and DSL access. DSL connection to Internet is proper running, WiFi with iPAS does only work if I switch of the Encryption mode of SpeedPort (Standard parameter in SpeedPort is WPA2 with shared key PSK). Who can give a hint how to switch on the encryption / deencryption mode of iPAD 2. 3G Sim Card is currently not installed.
Thanks for the quick response. No, I did not get any error messages or any terms-of-usage screen. The employee I told my problem to was not computer savvy either. She just suggested I move to different spots w/in the library to see if that would make a difference. It didn't. When I connected to the library WiFi it did change the Verizon 3G that is usually in the upper left corner to iPad with two to three emanating arcs. I may have to go to the library in the next town. I was able to connect to theirs in the past when I had to download something greater than 20 MB. Unless I really want it, I will probably not even try to download something more than 20 MB due to the hassle. Yeah, I may have been better off getting a normal desktop or laptop and getting WiFi at home. To do that now would mean having my iPad 2 and a desktop computer, which I feel is extravagant. (I know there are a lot of big spenders out there who got the iPad as additional gadget for fun. This is a rich country.) A Verizon rep told me I couldn't set up a WiFi router at home just using an iPad. So it seems like a person who just uses 3G is limited to surfing the net (not even much YouTube because it eats a lot of data) and using email. I read about an app that helps print wirelessly using 3G, but a reviewer said you had to be an engineer to get it done right. BTW, I like the Steelers. I'm old enough to remember Franco Harris and that blond guy whose name escapes me back in the '70s. Since I live in North Jersey I feel I have to support the Giants. But I know football about as well as computers.

Mac doesn't pick up wifi connection immediately on lion
if i am on my computer, on the internet and close or put my mac to sleep and come back a few minutes later it does not pick back up the wifi connection. i have to either wait a long time, and it works sometimes, or restart the computer completely. which so far has worked every time. any easy fix?

My Macbook Air does not pick up wifi from Airport but iMac, iPad and iPhone do. Help please.
Are you testing in the same room as the TC?
Power cycle the TC.. does it show up now?
Has it ever showed up .. ie is this a problem that just started from an existing setup, or has never worked?
Is the TC new? If old how old?
If you continue to have issues.. setup the TC from iMac and preferably using ethernet.
Change the wireless names to SMB compatible ones, short no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
Use WPA2 Personal security only.
Then set the wireless channels manually.. try 11, 6, 1 for 2.4ghz and try 36 or 40 at 5ghz.
Tell us how that goes. -

My IPad 2 has suddenly been unable to connect to wifi unless it is physically close to the router. Previously it picked up wifi anywhere in the house or garden.but now, for example, I lose the signal if I go to the top floor of the house. My wife and daughters' IPads do not have this problem and can get wifi throughout the house and garden.
Reset network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
If that doesn't work you could try a complete reset of the iPad, so back it up using iTunes first. -
this has been happening frequently lately. when I look in settings it says that my ipad is already connected to my home wifi, but I can't get on anything that uses it. I'm am not good with this stuff as it is all new to me, so any help would be appreciated..thanks

ive tried using a different brand charger, and I'm now back to using the one that came with an iPod that I got a few months before the iPad.
the charge cord works perfectly fine on the iPod but doesn't work on the iPad.
this has been happening for a few weeks and it's getting really frustrating.

iPhone connects to wifi but MacBook doesn't pick up the signal
Okay, this morning it happened again. I unplugged my iphone, surfed some pages fine. Five minutes later I woke it up again, tried to go to the app store. Nothing.
Tried to surf some newspaper sites. Nothing. So I used an IP address rather than the www.blablabla.com address and it works.
Confirmed. Some sort of cirumstances let the DNS service crash. Only IP addresses work. After a reboot (that's the only chance) it works again.
Network reset, restore iOS, all other typical help steps, never cured it.
That's a bug.
Lets put it on http://www.apple.com/feedback/
