Having problems with my iPad after it fell of the bed. When I turn it on there is a red backlight, then the screen comes on. Even then the page does not look right. Images are distorted and there are patches of red in the images. What does this mean? Can the problem be rectified?

I would take it to the Apple store but some people have been having luck holding their iPad upside down and smacking it on it's back. Be careful, good luck.

There are many people experiencing the same with the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S. The hardware in these devices is barely adequate to run iOS8. You can look for obvious menu settings (like turning off or minimizing background app refresh) but there is no getting around the fact that these two devices are barely up to running iOS8.

THere is no problem viewing them on my computer and everything else synchs okay to the iPod so what is going on and how can I overcome this problem?

Double check to make sure podcasts are configured to sync to your device from under the iPod's Podcast configuration tab.
To access the Podcasts tab for your iPod, plug your iPod in and click on it from under theDevices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Along the top you should see a Podcasts tab, so go ahead and click on it. Here you can configure how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.
If you do make any changes to do this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the update changes to your device.
Otherwise, are you getting any error messages when you sync your iPod Classic with iTunes?

Contact supercell, they are the ones that can repost it to your account. If you contact itunes support, they might refund it but they wont be able to repost it to your account

No I haven´t take it to Apple Store, i think I will actually. My iphone was jailbroken and ulocked with gevey sim, but when this failures began i decided to restore it, and I did preserve the baseband, but when I took it into one of these "Places" they told me it would be a good idea to do a clean restore and see if this fixed the problem so I upgraded my baseband, and right now my iphone is freshly restore, no jailbreak no nothing.
Btw yes something like a year ago my screen was replaces by others not by apple, but I didnt had any issues after this.. until today (a little more than a year later).

Those sites take a long time to load for me (almost a minute)
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
*Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

I can open Safari, Finder and Google Chrome ( my default browser) but they do not display on my iMac. Evidently they are minimized somewhere but I can't figure out how to maximize them. This has been a problem ever since I down loaded Mavericks.

Hope the following helps to make things clearer.
When I left click Safari or Google Chrome in my Dock, neither expands. When I then right click wither one in teh Dock, a dialog box pops up which gives me the option to close them, which implies that they are in fact open.
In other words, when I left click on Safari or Chrome in my Dock, nothing visibly changes on my Desktop. Indeed, neither Safari not Chrome are listed as the active window in the menu bar. If I do the same with Finder, at least Finder shows up as active in the menu bar but that's all. Finder itsef is not accessible and so I cannot use it.
On the other hand, I ahve no problem opening up Paralles 9 for Mac to access Windows/Explorer which is what I have done to send this note to teh Apple Communities Forum. Nor do I ahve a problem opening up any of my other programssuch as Office for Mac, etc.
I suspect this may be mavericks related but can't say for sure.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello apple my turned my phone off and when I turn it on there is a random skull and it wont turn on it isn't jail broken please help!!!!

Ok so last night I was texting people on my iPhone and listening to music and wanted to turn down the volume that's when I realized that my volume control wasn't working. I thought it was just because I had my phone on vibrate so I toggles the switch but It wouldn't vibrate. That's when I began to get scared so I wanted to lock it and give it time to rest but my sleep/awake button didn't even respond. The only button that worked was the home button. So I decide to do research on it and I was told to reset my phone using the reset phone feature In the settings. Once I accepted it gave me a black screen so I just went to sleep and thought it would all be fixed but it wasn't the next morning I turned it on and the apple logo came up but it strangely flipped into a skull. And then just freezes for 10 minutes. After 10 min the cycle starts over again the screen goes black and the apple logo appears and then the same skull. My buttons are still unresponsive so I can't put it in dfu mode. And I can't restore it because when plugged into the computer it doesn't recognize it. My phone isn't jail broken and I take super care of it. Please help

It's definitely jailbroken. If possible, you can restore it to remove the jailbreak.

I used bootcamp assistant to partition my hard drive to install windows. When I got to the part to install windows, I selected the bootcamp partition and then choose format as instructed but it would not continue stating that the partition was in GPT par

Please help!! I partitioned my macbook pro hard drive in bootcamp so that I could install windows. Everything appeared fine until I got to the install part. I selected the BOOTCAMP partition and then selected format as instucted. That was it. The install could not proceed because it says the partion is in the GPT format instead of NTSF. At this point it erased the "BOOTCAMP" name from the partion but the partion still exists.
I tried to reform by going back on the OS side, in disk utitly, erase and format. It will not allow me to select NSTF format.
What do I do to fix this??

In Boot Camp Assistant when you select the format option the Boot Camp partition it automatically formats the Boot Camp partition as NTFS since this is what Windows requires. There is no option to select NTFS or any other format type.

Warning Badge on all images in library but they are not referenced images.

Hi All,
I have my main library located on a server with all images within the library. I don't have any up to date vaults.
I was having issues with one project where it was showing me 'unsupported image' so I set up a vault, backed it up and then rebuilt the library. When it came back all images have the warning badge with an arrow as if they are referenced files that have moved location or something?
I am currently trying to rebuild the library again before I try restoring the last (flawed) vault to the local hard drive.
Has anyone got any ideas?

YEEESSS! Thank God.........
I checked inside the project again and compared it with a working project on another manchine and noticed the / had turned to some weird scissor symbol. I guess this must have happened when I enabled Airport backup on my QNAP which turns the share into AFP.
I am now manually changing them back to / and they are relinking back into the library - Phew!!
I guess I will have to start Keeping the library on the local drive. I do the same with my macbook pro but have older images referenced to the server to save space, maybe I should use the same tactic on the Mac Pro. I guess that means that the Vault only holds the metadata and not the images as they will be on the NAS, however that is RAID protected so should be ok.

The workflow I was suggesting doesn't need you to specify pixel dimensions: you specify the print size, in inches or whatever measurement is required (but usually it is inches for prints), along with the appropriate ppi and LR will do the math for you and re-size the image so that the pixel dimensions fit those criteria. Doing that, even for reasonably large prints, should see the JPEG file sizes drop quite a bit I would imagine; I use a 16MP D7000, and when I use PhotoBox I often print at 12"x8" (300dpi), which usually means that LR has to do a fair bit of downsizing (maybe -25%) in order to fit that output size; even with a very detailed image (e.g. a landscape with a lot of fine detail such as tree branches, leaves, etc), I rarely go over 15MB with the JPEG (very different story for a TIFF of course!).
What camera are you using here? I'm intrigued.
I think it's rather unfortuate that you have no idea what sizes your photos will be printed at, and if I were you, I'd try to get that sorted out before uploading anything to PhotoBox. Speak with the couple, show them the pictures you have, and get them to select the sizes they want them to be printed at - maybe a default size for the majority might suffice, and then they can pick out the favourites for larger sizes/canvas prints, etc. Make a note of all the sizes PhotoBox offer and show them your list whilst they look through the photos on-screen. IMHO, if you're unsure of the final print size then you're going to be making compromises by going for a "generic" size and then relying on the PhotoBox staff to up/downsample the images on the fly, and you'll definetely be compromising the output sharpening that LR has to offer. I'd personally much rather send them a finished file that's ready to go, without the need for them to start messing around re-sizing it. But if you really can't establish an intended print size before uploading, then I think DJ_paige is spot-on with his advice - but it is a compromise.
On a side note, if you've gone to the trouble of processing these images in LR, then do make sure you turn off their "auto-enhancement" option in your account preferences. This is switched on by default for new accounts, and it will ruin all you hard work developing/processing your photos. I speak from experience: I use them every once in a while for prints, and they once mistakenly overlooked my "don't use auto-enhancement" preference setting - the photos I got were junk. Happily, they admitted their mistake when I complained and sent me a fresh set within 24-hours.

this issue might've been caused by a download antivirus check. We'll disable the antivirus check for downloads now:
#Enter about:config in Firefox and press Enter.
#Enter ''browser.download'' in the Filter textbox.
#Search for a preference named browser.download.scanWhenDone .
#Double-click on this preference to set the value to ''false''.
Afterwards, see if you can download files again!

Yes, you can use the camera connection Kit{s Sd card reader, but the images must be in a folder called DCIM and they must have filenames that are exactly 8 characters long plus the 3 letter extension. i.e. image004.jpg

I can use my apple id and password to log in here, but they are not accepted to reinstall os on mac mini. I've changed passwords, still no luck After 3 hours I'm ready to go back to windows!

What makes you think an Unknown Error has anything to do with your password....
