It sounds like This terms and conditions prompt keeps popping up over and over again. I would recommend first quitting all the apps:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

THEN restart the phone:

You may be prompted again after the restart, but if it happens more than once, I would then backup and restore the device to iTunes.

You should be able to reconnect to iTunes and then you should see an option to restore to your ipad from your last back up in iTunes.

Hi Randers4 thank you for trying to help. I finally gave up and just called apple. Apparantly my renewel went under my icloud ID while my previous accout was my itunes ID. Never had to match them before but I guess we do now. Once I switched my iphone ID to the ID I used to renew the icloud it backed up. Live and learn.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Ipad goes black unexpectedly

Hello! I have a new iPad 3rd Gen and every once in a while the screen goes black/blank and the only way to get it to come back is to press the Off button on the top (it will click) and then press the Home button. It is unpredictable. I does, however, seem to do it more often when I just start using it from the Lock screen (I am using a Lock code). I will get into an app like mail or calendar or web and will be reading or something and then if I touch the screen do something like scroll, it will go black/blank.
I have tried pressing the Home and Off buttons simultaneously till it goes off and then waiting 15-20 seconds and then pressing the Off button to start up again. That did not help. I have only charged it twice since I have had it.
I am going to get an appointment at the Genius bar later today or tomorrow if I do not hear from someone about this.
Anyone else experiencing this? I ahve looked here and don't see anything like my situation. Maybe just mine?

To reset the device, hold the sleep and home button for at least 10 sec, until the Apple logo comes back again, then release the buttons and let the device start up. This reset can cure some glitches after installing new software or apps, and you will not lose data.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, if necessary without using the latest backup, in case it contains damaged data.

HT1430: ipad goes black after lock screen

When the ipad goes on the lock screen and i slide to unlock it, the whole screen goes black and will only display the time, battery and signal sign, i pressed the home button but it just gets rid ov the things that were being displayed the only way i can make this go away is if i lock my screen and sliding the unlock button again. Is there something wrong with my ipad or is it a programme ??

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPad: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Why does my iPad go black or to a blank screen in the middle of reading or working on something?

This happens to me all the time. It is very frustrating. I tried changing the auto lock to never, no change. I have reset the iPad, restored it to factory settings no change. I am thoroughly frustrated with the iPad and will probably switch to a different brand of tablet. I have a first gen iPad.

When I click on a link in an email, the comoputer locks p and the screen goes black, requiring a shut down from the on-off switch. My version of Firefox is up-to-date.

The on-off switch is the only way I can turn off the computer, because the screen is black. Then I turn on the computer again to reboot, and when I click on Firefox again it takes from 30 to 90 seconds before Firefox opens, at which point I get a message asking if I want to begin a new session. Then I open emails and don't click on any links. If I check my email using Internet Explorer, the problem does not occur. Your help would be appreciated. After 50 years of operating comoputers, I have never seen this problem. Regards----Lloyd Schultz

Fred...thanks, but this is not about one site. The same thing happens often, with many sites, when i click a link that has come up in Google search, or on Twitter or Facebook or within a story I'm reading. The link takes me to the url of what it was supposed to take me too, then within a second or so it switches to that Yahoo 'error handler' url, a page that offers search for similar sites.

When I went to install an update, my iPad went black and shows a picture of a power source next to an iTune emblem. I powered it off but when I power it back on, it shows the same thing.

RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

Hi all please help me. I downloaded a ringtone on my iPhone 4S but when tried to download the same ringtone on my ipad iTunes asked me to purchase the same ringtone again. For me I shouldn't be repurchasing the item for which I have already paid, it's not something that would make sense at all.

Ringtones (along with audiobooks) are currently a one-time only download from the store. If you want it on your iPad then you will need to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases (it shoudl copy over to the Tones part of your iTunes library), and you can then sync it to your iPad

Program monitor freezes and goes black but I can still hear the audio

Hi just recently I've noticed after a few playbacks the program monitor goes black, the sequence plays out with audio, I just can't see the image. Timeline is mixed with prores, mts But haven't had this issue occur since updating.

Are you using CUDA for playback? Try changing the Mercury Playback Engine options and see if it helps.

Mini-DVI port: monitor goes black for a moment if wiggle the adaptor

I have an Early 2009 mini 2.0GHz, which I'm using with the included Mini-DVI to DVI adaptor.
I've discover that if I press down on the adaptor plug just right, the monitor flickers to black for a moment, as if the adaptor were pulled out of the Mini DVI port.
I know: don't do that.
But it can also happen if the monitor cable gets tugged on just right (how I discovered it), and I'm concerned that the Mini DVI port may be loose on the motherboard, that it may get worse, that it may flicker intermittently without provocation, etc.
On the other hand, maybe this is just how the mini is built and I'll be wasting my time getting service.
So I'm hoping some of you can poke at your minis and see if it happens to you too.
Instructions For Proper Poking:
º Have everything plugged in with computer and monitor on
º Press down gently on the plug that is plugged into the mini's Mini DVI port
º Try a little wiggle, press from the end of the plug where the wire comes out to get a little leverage, etc.
º Try gently picking the mini up a few times, so that the monitor cable is hanging down from the mini

So I just ran through the little test matrix you outlined in your first post with my Early 2009 mini. Result: no trouble whatsoever with intermittent connection. I would say what yours is doing isn't normal. Maybe some other people will try and report their results.
Mini DVI has been out there for a long time, albeit not on the Mac mini, but on other Apple notebook products. I have not heard that the connection is not "robust" ever. And I've been following the MacBook and MacBook Pro display forums for a couple years now.

New Ipad air is so bad at surfing on the internet, why does it not update the page as you scroll up ? Why is it so slow? Why do you have to use two fingers to scroll up sometimes is so anoying !!!

Well you could have asked if i had the last update,which i had not,so after updating to ios7.1 it seems to work much better now.
So the question is why did you write to to me ....? And look how many there are having had the same problems here, so it is not a unique case...
I did buy an ipad mini with retina first but it had even worse problem with scrolling and very bad wifi reception,so I took it back to the store and bought this ipad air instead....
It seems to be a difference between every ipad,so the stability of production of ipads is not really as it should be !
