My ipad had been turned off by itself
my ipad had been turned off by itself & didn't turn on yet. that had been 60% charged & it was not connected to any ports. i live in warm city in south of iran & my room was locked for 2 days, when i came back to my room i found my i pad in this situation. what can i do? i'm very sad for my ipad!

Im just really annoyed. I turned off my data when I barely went over at 4.004 before I went to bed. I just recently checked it to make sure it wasnt using data, But it had gone up to 4.037, after my data had been turned off. So I want to know what the deal is because thats bogus.

I recently had a hard drive crash on my iMac. After replacing the drive, I discovered that TimeMachine had apparently been turned off for six months, and all my photos from that period were missing after the restore. In looking on the external drive used by TimeMachine, I discovered a folder called Imac backup, and under iPhoto Library was a folder called Originals and subfolders for each year. To my surprise, there were photos covering the missing time period! Somehow I imported the 2011 folder from the external drive into iPhoto, and then I discovered they were small files of less than 100 KB each, not the 1-2 MB original photos. So now all of 2011 is screwed up, not just from May on. These photos also include faces pulled from many larger group photos.
I can get Jan - April restored using TimeMachine. But in continuing to explore the Imac backup folder, I found a similar folder in iPhoto Library called Modified. This folder has many of the missing photos in their original MB size in folders indexed by date for the missing period after April. Is there a way that I can get these modified photos back onto my new hard drive and into the iPhoto library without causing more damage? If TimeMachine was turned off after April, how did those modified photos and all those small images from the missing period find their way to the external drive?
Any wisdom greatly appreciated.What you want to do is merge the two Libraries? The only way to do this is to use the paid ($20) version of iPhoto Library Manager
I created a new iPhoto Library on the iMac and dragged the entire iPhoto Library from the MacBook into that new Library. It worked, however it all came over into one big album and my previous album structure was gone
Never import one Library to another. Every version and thumbnail is imported like a distinct photo, you lose all your Albums, Keywords etc., the link between Original and Previews is destroyed, the non-destructive editing feature is ruined and so on. In summary: it's mess.

Hi there, ok so my ipad has been either turning off or just locking itself for sometime now but last night it turned itself off and when i tried to turn it back on it just came up with a blank screen with the back light. When i put it on the charger the sound of it charging happenes but nothing else. I hav tried resetting it but as i am not very savvy with all this stuff i thought i would get some advise before doing anything else. it anyone can help me that would be fantasic
thank youIf a reset doesn't work, try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad -
My trip pics are more than 30 days old and my icloud photo sharing was turned off. How can I now share them to my PC for saving/printing? My sharing is now turned on but it's not loading them? Help?
That list includes all the apps that you installed to your device directly from iTunes on the computer, or which were purchased on the iOS device and subsequently transferred to iTunes on the computer.
If you right click on any item in that list and choose "Show in Windows Explorer" it will open your iTunes application installer directory on your computer, which should be:
C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
In there are all your saved application installers (*.ipa files). You need to delete those actual installer bundles and then make sure to NOT allow the "transfer purchased content" when you sync or backup in iTunes (as that will just put them back on your hard drive).
One caveat to removing those, is that if you ever wish to keep a specific release of a particular app, and the developer replaces the iTunes/App store version with something else, your sole source for your older version will be your own stored copy of it. So for example, when PDF expert released their iOS 7 update, and charged everyone full price for it, if you wished to keep using the previous version on your own devices, then you needed to keep a copy of the installer on your own computer as that older version is no longer available in the store front. -

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number? Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. ( I hate army webmail for canceling all retired military email accounts). John Marc

I have just updated my iPod to its latest and ever since it's been turning off by itself!
what do I do?

Turns off by itself w/ and w/o adapter
My MacBook Pro has been turning off by itself. Even if my battery is fully charged or my adapter is plugged in, it some how shuts down. I've checked my sleep and power settings with no avail. It shuts down when I'm surfing the internet, watching a DVD, working on a document, etc.
I've had my computer for only 3 months and my battery doesn't fall under the range of batteries that need to be replaced.
Does anyone have any ideas as to whats going on? Do I need to take this to my local Apple Store?

Macbook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.8) 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo; 2GB, 667MHz DDR2 SDRAMI have had my MBP for about 2 weeks and it was having the same problem....I took it to the apple store and they are currently installing a new logic board. I would call support or bring it in to the store and see what they say.

I bought this mac at a garage sale about 2 years ago for $150 and it has been working great.
Lately it has been turning off by itself.
It is not hot.
I did some research and people were saying that the capacitors on the motherboard and the powersupply are known to go bad on this computer.
When I tried to find a serial number on this computer there was not one, leading me to believe that the mb was probably replaced by Apple or someone at some time.

2 weeks ago it totally would not turn on so I took the back off, looked at the mb and the capacitors all looked good (to me anyway) then I took out the powersupply, opened that expecting something in there to be all gooey or swollen and everything looked good there too!
I went back to the internet and found a troubleshooting flowchart type thing on Apples site, and it gave me the idea of checking the little power button on the mb.
The computer started right up no problem.
I also looked at the troubleshooting lights on the mb and those were all lit like they were supposed to be.
I put the computer back together and everything has worked fine for the last two weeks.
Just now it turned off again.
I turned it back on, got the apple chime, then it turned off.
I did it 2 more times, now it is back on. Not sure how long it is going to last.
The computer in question is not the one listed below, it is my daughters g5. thanks!

Thank you! LauraApple doesn't publish the meaning of these codes, but the -122, although it could still mean the Logic Board, is probably related to the power supply. But don't hold me to it. The power supply costs around $125, so it's not a terrible gamble to try a new one. The Logic Board is much more expensive. But you might find someone who's willing to replace any bad caps they find for quite a bit less. I've seen these.

Hello. I recieved a Blackberry Pearl Flip as a birthday gift a few weeks ago.
In the past few days it has been turning off by itself. The screen goes all white with the wait icon in the middle and then It turns off by itself and turns back on, and then it takes a minute or two to load back up..then a couple minutes later it repeats the whole process over again. The external light flashes red a few times each time the phone turns off on its own.
The battery life is very short as well. Sometimes it does not even last 24 hours. I have not downloaded anything onto the phone, nor have i dropped it or changed any of the settings.
I would return the phone if I could, however I do not have the reciept and am currently overseas. If someone could please assist me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

I have been having trouble connecting to my wifi on my ipad mini but my iPod is just fine......it will connect and then say "Unable to connect to network" I've tried resetting my ipad mini and turning off my router for 30 seconds and its not working.
What TC do you have? Model number direct from the base is a big help, it will be A1 followed by 3 numbers.. eg
A1409 Gen 4.. The new AC is A1470
How is it setup?
I need the whole network setup. what modem/router, how is the TC connected etc??
I also need to know what IP the ipod gets, so I can see what mode the TC or network router is working in. -

All software has bugs in it, and it's possible that a bug caused an abend and your iPad to reboot. If it becomes a regular occurence then you could try restoring to your last backup or back to factory defaults and resync your content (but make sure that you copy anything important off first if you do reset back to factory defaults).

Hi my airport router ( ateast i think this is where the problem originates) has been turning off intermittenly for the past week, when it does this NO devices recieve internet connection, mac, pc,iphone, ipad, wireless or hardwired directly to the router. However they all show to be connected with their corresponding bars and the ip's are all fine. Earlier today it started flucuating on and off about every 5 min making work impossible and now it seems to be completely broken (im currently on my iphone connected though its own internet) Does anyone know how or ehy this happened and how i can fix this? And to know if this originates from the router or something else entirely. Thank you!
Hi - some clarifications would help narrow down some symptoms - just what has been turning off? - has the light been solid green but the modem isn't providing wi-fi? - or is the light flashing yellow with no internet? - which can mean several things - does the light go out completey? - so if you can report on exactly what is happenening and when, maybe someone can help you - we also need to know if there any error messages along the way - we also need the types of devices involved and how they are attached - kind of like a nework map - the more info that you provide, the more answers you will get.
