My iPad has been syncing for 18 hours since I am trying to do the iCloud thing. What happens if I stop the back up process? Getting tired of waiting for it to get done. Could this be caused by the fact that I have 5gb of photos on the iPad ?

My iPad has been syncing for 18 hours / back up process since I tried to work with the iCloud. Some items ie., contacts are synced to my new iPhone 4si and also books from the app store and also kindle stuff is okay. No photos yet. iPad has 5 gb of photos on it. What happens if I stop the back up/sync process before it completes? Does it mess up my iPad??? Thanks

My wife, daughter and I all shared one iTunes library on one Mac and synced 6 different devices and never had problems selecting exactly what we want to sync to each device.
Even though you do not have these particular songs or bums selected to sync, do you have "Sync only checked songs and Videos" in the Summary Tab of iTune? If you don't have that option selected, makes sure that you so check it before you sync again.
You should be able to swipe across songs in the songs tab of the music app - Swiping from Right to Left - and that will bring up the Red Delete Button. You cannot delete entire albums but holding down on the icon to bring up the X on the album icon. That doesn't work in iOS. 7.
If you are seeing songs in the Music app with the cloud icon on the right hand side, those songs are not on your iPad but are in iCloud and can be downloaded if you want to do so. If you do not want to see those songs, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Show All>Music>Off.

Had the same problem and spoke with Apple Support. They had me reset the System Management Controller:
Shut down the computer. With the computer off, on the left hand side of the keyboard press shift+control+option along with the power button simultaneously and release. Wait 5-10 seconds and restart the computer.
This solved my problem and I was immediately able to purchase, download, and play an HD movie from iTunes w/o any error message.

If you have previously synced your device with iTunes, you may be able to reset the passcode by restoring the device:
1. Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
2. If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
3. When the backup and sync is complete, restore your device.
4. When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your device, choose "Restore from iTunes backup".
5. Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your device.

If you did not have Find My iPod enabled, and you do not have iCloud, then you cannot track it. You can report it to the police, you should change your AppleID password, and then all you can do is old fashioned detective work - start with the last place you remember having it, and check every place in between that point and now....

if the other device is present then go to settings->bluetooth and make sure it does not connect to it
it can't pair with the new device if it's connected
then go to the new ios device settings->bluetooth if it does not show up under devices then
put it in pairing mode (it has to blink)

At the WebOS Developer Days in New York, Palm’s Developer Advocate Josh Marinacci said: that “all” Palm devices would be getting WebOS 2.0 “in the coming months.” So that means anyone with a Palm Pre, Pixi or the Plus version. The time frame is not exactly specific, but it’s at least better than nothing. I am anticipating... WE might hear more "Good News" on February 9 during the Big Event in San Francisco. I will stay tuned.

It likely means there was still water inside it and something has now shorted out and permanently damaged one or more components.
