My ipad has disappeared but shows "offline" constantly so I cannot locate it. it

My ipad 2 WiFi (not 3G) has disappeared. It may be lost or stolen-we simply cannot find it. Last seen it was on standby mode.That was 9 days ago. It was 4 digit passcode protected. I have now activated the find my ipad app via icloud but it shows the device is constantly offline. (1) If it is lost then I presume by now the battery will have run down so it will carry on recording offline forever until we find it (unless it accidentally went in the bin with eg the newspapers) ? OR (2) If it is "stolen"/found by someone inclined to keep it would they be able to wipe it and use it for themselves and simply acquire new apps etc for it and have it good as new so to speak...? AND (3) If they do that is there any way I can check if there is "usage" / another user showing against my ipad serial number on Apple's records -not because I expect Apple to blacklist the device as I know they do not do that- but just so I can give up on this insane constant checking on icloud.com whether the find my ipad app has reverted to "online" so I can track its location? If there were usage then I would know once and for all that it has been wiped and is gone for good and I can move on and buy a new one but if there is no usage it would tell me it must be around somewhere and I should keep tearing the house apart to find it.....???

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device.

CP1525NW connected to wireless network. Running W7 64 bit. Printer shows offline constantly.

I have a desktop and laptop configured with W7 64 bit. On laptop printer works fine, on desktop printer shows offline constantly and the only way to get it running again is by uninstalling the software and reinstalling. I have gone online and downloaded the drivers for 64 bit but I keep getting messages indicating the HP (xxxxx) program 32 bit has stopped working. Not getting this on laptop. They are connected to the same wireless network. Help? - Thanks

Let's try to get the printer back to 192.168.0.103.
Browse to the printer's web page again.
Select Networking, then Wireless.
Select IPv4 Configuration.
Select Manual IP Address
Enter 192.168.0.103 for the Manual IP Address
Enter 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet Mask
Enter 192.168.0.1 for the Gateway
Press Apply.
Now turn off your computer and printer.
Turn on the printer and wait a minute. Print the network configuration page and verify that the IP address show is 192.168.0.103
Turn on the computer. Verify that you can browse to the printer's web page and that you can surf the internet.
Try printing

Standard troubleshooting steps in order are as follows - checking after each one to see if the problem is resolved:
Power your iPad off and on.
A reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
Restore your iPad with iTunes from your iPad's backup.
Restore your iPad with iTunes as a new iPad or not from your iPad's backup.

Try a reset. Press and hold the On/Off and Home buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple logo, then release. This may take up to 10 seconds. This is the equivalent of a PC re-boot and you will not lose any data.

Try this: Open up her Home folder (house icon), click Library then Preferences. Locate com.apple.softwareupdate.plst (I don't have my Mac handy so I can't double-check the name; that should be correct) and move it to the desktop or trash, then try running Software Update again. Also try running Software Update while logged in as another administrator.

If so how can I erase all data on the phone so the thief can't access my personal information? is there any other way other than Find my IPhone to wipe off the data on the phone? I really don't want my personal information such as pictures, text messages, notes and social networks profile available to a stranger!!? Help please!!!

You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. TS2634 1st gen iPad has suddenly quit showing that it's charging. I found that if it's shut it down and plugged in for 12+ hours, it will charge, but when in use, the battery drains quickly. When connected to the Mac, it doesn't link with iTunes.

Is this a problem that can be easily fixed? I'm guessing it's a problem with the charger connector, possibly??

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

My wi-fi icon has disappeared from my ipod touch although the wi-fi is still working. Any ideas?

My Ipodtouch 2nd gen has this problem as of today. Nothing has changed recently, no software update or so. The wi-fi icon (upper left corner of screen next to iPod) does no longer show, although I still have connection to the internet (new pages do open). I tried your (Illaas) suggestion resetting the iPod without success.
I also removed the settings for my prefered network (forget this network) and then reselected this network and entered all required settings. I also restarted my wi-fi router. No success at all. the wi-fi icon won't show.
