My ipad has frozen since trying to update ios 8

I have been trying to update to IOS 8. But my pad has now stopped responding all together. All I have is a screen with the itunes logo and a charging lead under it. apart from that the pad is doing nothing.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

for 4 hours so i give up and use another PC but the same thing happend.I just wanna know that this is
cuase by my hardware issues or server issues or did i use the wrong method to upgrade it.

Reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears
The servers are overloaded. There are a hundred million people all trying to download iOS 7 at one time. I would give it some time and try again later

  • TS3276 My iPad mail screen has frozen when trying to trash an email

My iPad screen has frozen when trying to trash an email ' this message cannot be moved to mailbox trash ' with an OK button which will not respond to touching . I have gone in and out of mailbox , turned iPad off for 3 hours - all to no avail

You said that you keep getting the error code 1604. Did you try putting the iPad into recovery mode and when the error code appears - close iTunes and restart iTunes while the iPad is connected to your PC?
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
    When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
    Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

  • Ipad has frozen downloading ios6

went to download ios6 ipad has frozen on the downloading screen with the bar not moving. have tried turning off and back on but it hasnt helped???

Well, since the procedure does absolutely nothing, it is of no value. If the OP wishes to do a Reset, they would need to push and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release both buttons and await restart.
