My iPad has stripes running through the middle of screen, is it done?
Is my iPad finished, it has stripes running through the screen?
Have you tried a reset? Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
If the stripes return, try giving it a couple of careful whacks across the back - some folks here have reported success doing this, but you try it at your own risk.

First and foremost: Try resetting the device. If that doesn't fix the problem, it could be a hardware issue. I would then suggest contacting Apple Technical Support or taking it to your local Genius bar at an Apple Store.

Howdy diana,
It sounds like your iPad has mulitcolored lines all over it. I would recommend a few things here to help isolate the issue to software or hardware. Try restarting the phone with this article:

If the issue persists, I would next try reseting the device with the same article:
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue is not resolved, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it as a new device to see if the lines are still there. If not then restore your backup and verify they are still gone.

My iPad has not been dropped or damaged at all. The screen is grey fuzzy and has coloured lines down the middle. iPad 3 also.
Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore.
Try all of these.

You will have to restore your iPad to unlock it now. you wamt to restore to the same computer that you sync with so that you can restore all of your data and settings.

You could have a hardware issue, but try this and see if it helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
I just got a new IPAD and transferred everything through the cloud from my old IPAD 2. The new one says "this IPAD is currently being restored. It has been that way for over two hours. Also, I Books opens and then closes right away with no content. Does it take this long, or is there an issue?
I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, attempt to sync with iTunes while logged in as a new admin user. Follow these steps to create a new administrator user within Windows:
From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
Open User Accounts.
Select Create a new account and follow the instructions to complete the account setup process.
Once the new account is created, choose Log Off from the Start menu.
Log in to the newly created user account.
If the error does occur in the new user account, the issue may be caused by content downloaded or created on the device, such as podcasts and voice memos. Removing content from the device may address the issue.

If these steps do not work at all, I would suggest calling AppleCare at 1-800-275-2273 (assuming your iPad is stilll within support or has an AppleCare Protection Plan) and let them know you have already tried all troubleshooting steps per TS2830. -

When you look at your spool requests, thereu2019s an icon on the toolbar next to the eyeglasses that looks like a yellow rectangular callout. Itu2019s called u201CDisplay in Maximum Widthu201D. Select the Spool no. to display and then press this icon. Shift + F4 is the shortcut.

I have an Ipad 2 that I use to view an IP camera over a Wifi network. The Ipad is in a vehicle that leaves the Wifi range and then returns to the range. Upon returning to the range, the Ipad has trouble connecting to the network. (30 seconds) The Ipad will eventually connect to the network, but by this time the driver is frustrated. I have moved the antenna to within 20' of where the vehicle comes to a stop. My Iphone does not have a problem connecting or reconnecting when used side by side with the Ipad. Both the Ipad and Iphone have Otter box covers. Has anyone run into this problem or have any suggestions?
30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present. Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel. But you might not.
