i cannt reset because i no longer have old address cannot remember password so find my i pad can not be turned of due to old email address on i cloud so i have tried to reset through i tunes with no joy help

If you can't get the password reset via http://iforgot.apple.com (you can't remember your answers to your security questions ?) then try contacting Support in your country and see if they can reset your password for you.

I I'd updated my email address several months ago. The App Store app worked fine. Now all of a sudden it's asking me to log in using the old email address and wants the old password. In settings for both the App Store and iTunes are correct. I can sign out and sign in from the settings menu but cannot update my apps through the App Store app itself. This just started today. IIf you got the app with your old email you can not change it, you need to update it with your old one. If you get any app with one email you can only use one email. Even if you log into your new email from itunes( scroll under and click on the email and sign out and log in with new email) it still won't let you do it with your other email. Sorry. You can not use different emails for some things. You can go to settings-iTunes and AppStore- update apps( it means it will automatically update apps) it does work, but uses a lot of battery usage. I hve had it on for a long time but I don't mind. hope this helped.

I have changed computers and can't get some of the apps off my ipad and iphone because they were purchased under a different email address. I can't remember the password and I can't change that because it wants to send an email reminder to an email address that is no longer in existence. I can't upload changes to these apps for the same reason. Help!

Sir, Thank you very much for your prompt response. I have already done this. But the problem is still persisting. Actually, I want to upgrade my WhattsApp application and as soon as I click the upgrade button in App Store, it asks for the password of previous apple i.d., which I don't have as I have bought this phone from somebody. There is no option for log out or log in. It there any other way out to upgrade the WhatsApp ????

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer

Check Settings>Messages>Receive At>Caller ID, make sure it's set to your phone number not your email address.

I am trying to delete the iCloud account on my iPhone that is associated with an old email address no longer in use, so I can set it up with my new email address. I am unable to delete the account until I turn off "Find my iPHone" which it won't let me do unless I log in under the old email address..... You remember the answers to the security questions or you call Apple, talk to someone in account security, and prove to them that you own the account.

TS4036 Accessing iCloud account from old email address that's no longer active

HELP! My iPhone 5 screen died and Apple cannot repair it. The phone still works and it is under warranty but I am having difficulty getting my calendar, notes and contact info. I was able to download the pictures on to my PC at home using iTunes but not the data. When I go to iCloud I get a message telling me to go to a message sent to the original email account used when I purchased my first apple product (laptop) but I no longer have access to that email account. I have set up other iCloud accounts since then but seem to going in circles trying to find this very important data. Before I return the damaged phone for replacement I want to make sure I have exhausted every resource. Does anyone have any suggestions?

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
Note: this will only work if the old ID is yours, and if your new ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID).

I want to change some security settings in my Apple ID and it asks to answer some security questions that I have no clue why I am answering them wrong. So then I check off send a reset email to change them and the email address comes up with an old email address I no longer can access. That email address is nowhere in my profile! How do I delete an ICloud acct on IPhone when the old email address no longer exists?

I changed my Apple ID password due to a phishing email and it started a downward spiral of issues. My original ICloud email address no longer exists. I have tried to sign out/in in itunes that worked but I cannot delete the ICloud account because the field is not editable for apple ID. I tried setting it back to the old email address to turn off Find my IPhone but it will nopt allow because the email address cannot be verified because it no longer exists.

To Delete an iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. You should then be able to delete the old account. When done, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

I have a new icloud identity linked to y Apple ID with a username and password I do know but I can not acces it via my iphone 4 as it displays the old email address and I can figure out how to change it - does anyone know how?

When I install/reinstall OSX on my computer, and afterwards sync my keychain with the backup on mobileme, I'm asked for the password on my old iMac. I guess this is because some entries where created on this machine, but is there anyway to permanently cancel this association? Maybe it's due to the keys in my login keychain – what is the risk of deleting these entries – what do they do?

You're right, it's because of the keychain entries from the old machine being unlocked.
It's a two step process to fix that: if you want to make it so only your new, fresh keychain is on MobileMe, you want to reset the Keychain sync data, and replace what's on MobileMe with what's in your new OS X installation. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1497 has some good instructions on where to find those settings.
