My ipad is asking for restore after software update

on 13 of august ,2013 . i updated my ipad and now it is asking for restore .

Is it in Recovery mode? Are you seeing a screen that looks like this:

If so, sounds like something happened during the update, so all you can really do is restore.

In case you are not aware, Mavericks requires a high speed broadband connection.
In the event you need to restore or repair the starutp disk, OS X Recovery also requires a broadband connection as noted here > About OS X Recovery

15Mbps or less, you may not be able to install Mavericks or use OS X Recovery.

Ipad keeps asking for password after I enter it on WIFI?

So I just updated, OOPS! I now can't connect to wifi or anything that asks for a password it seems because the prompt to enter password keeps popping up as if I didn't just type it in.

Some ISPs refuse connection attempts if they are too frequent, or limit the number of simultaneous connections that are allowed from the same IP address, or the account may have become full, or there might be a problem with the network, or there might be a problem with the server...
Go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list.
What’s the time interval chosen in Mail > Preferences > General > Check for New Mail? If it’s set to Every minute, try changing it to Every 5 minutes.

My E52 lost Mail For Exchange after software updat...

After I updated my E52 software the phone seems to have lost it's mail for exchange client. Setting up webbased email accounts like hotmail is no problem (though through Nokia Messaging), but when when I try to setup my work email it just tell me that the unit does not support any more accounts for workrelated e-mails (I don't have any option to choose mail for exchange).
Before the update I had an option to choose to choose mail for exchange and it would ask me for domain and server and everything and it was no problem.
As mail for exchange is supposed to be integrated in the E52 as part of nokias new emailing software (as far as I can read), I am not able to download and install the mail for exchange client separately (and I have tried by the way, but it refuses to install).
Has anybody experienced similar problems after the software update, and/or do you have any solutions?

The Hungarian support told me, that the new Nokia Messenger supports exchange, but only one email. And most probably the system already stored your email that you used before the upgrade. With the upgrade the datas were deleted, and you cannot recall it, or edit it from the web interface (email.nokia.com) but still the system thinks that you already have one (even if I want to use the same one). Therefore you cannot open a new one. The support promised me to delete it maually with system administrators and then I would be free to use it again.
Try this with your local support, perhaps that is the truth.

Torch frozen on restore after software update

I updated my software wirelessly last night through software updates on the device. It went through the download process fine, but as soon as it went to "restoring your data" it froze at 37% overall progress(if im remembering correctly) it said at the time Brio Calorie Tracker 0%. So after several hours of it not changing from that % i did a hard reset as recomended in these forums. when going through the restore process again it froze at 2% overall progress and again 0% progress on Brio Calorie Tracker. Repeated hard resets have given me the same result. Last night I let it sit overnight for 8 hours and it did not budge or change in any capacity, still 0% Brio calorie tracker and 2% overall restore progress. I'm at the end of my rope here and have no idea what to do now. I've also tried connecting to blackberry desktop software, including while doing hard resets and it won't let me. It will just say on the device screen that I cant access anything on the device while a restore is in progress.

Well, that's a little more than I wanted you to do, but it's still a good thing. I was going to have you simply remove the application file for that calorie counter app, but now we'll have to do an OS reload.
Just go through with the following instructions to reload the device software:
Disconnect your device.
Download the most current OS for your device, which you'll find in the link below. It's a German website, but the download link is readily apparent.

On your PC, navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader. Delete the file at the bottom called vendor.xml.
Connect your device.
In that same folder as above, there's an executable file called Loader (has a little phone next to it). Double click on that and it will start loading your OS.
Oh, I'd recommend you NOT reload that application again.

How do I get rid of grey sidebar for bookmarks after software update

Just did software update, and now there is a grey toolbar on left that displays my bookmarks. Not functional to me. How do I get back original bookmark page. I realize that I can hide left toolbar, but it jus comes up again when I go to bookmarks. Then is will not go away unless I mannally hide it again. NOT GOOD

IPad 1 asking for Activation after 5.1 update

I have an iPad 1 from when it first came out. It's worked perfectly, but after upgrading to IOS 5.1, it now is telling me that I have to activate it.   When I connect to iTunes, it says: "The software on the iPad has expired and must be updated to a newer version".   It already has 5.1 installed. iTunes can't sync with it "because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."    When I try to activate from the iPad, it tells me: "could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable."   This has been going on for several days.
Restore doesn't work due to the above messages.   Looks like the only way to whack it is through iTunes which refuses to connect for the above reasons. I've checked all the various help pages (everything is up to date, no other USB's plugged in, etc.).   Tried resetting the iPad directly, that didn't work. Any other suggestions?

All tabs blank for session restore after software update

I just updated Firefox to the 34.0.5 version. After restarting, I did a restore previous session and what came up were the tabs but without any address info. They are all showing up as "New Tabs". Is there any way to get back my session with the tabs having the address data? Thank you.

Ipad mini will not restore after ios update 7.1.2

Hi Community,
I recieved a message last night about the update 7.1.2 for my ipad mini. I left my ipad on overnight while plugged in while it was updating. i woke up this morning seeing my ipad must be connected to itunes. I connect my ipad to itunes and it must be restored. Every time i try to restore and update the ipad from itunes i get the error code 3004. I have tried hard resetting the ipad, re-downloading the latest version of itunes, and disconnecting and reconnected the usb plug.

Here are the steps that I would recommend going through when experiencing error 3004.
Resolve network errors
Related errors: 17, 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194, 3000, 3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3015, 3194, 3200, or "There was a problem downloading the software," or say the "device isn't eligible for the requested build.". These alerts mean that your computer is either having difficulty contacting the Apple update server or communicating with your device.
Check your computer for software or settings that might cause communication issues between your computer and Apple or between your computer and your device.

Ipad 2 unable to restore after io8 Update

Hello apple,
I backed up my ipad2 in itunes and I downloaded the ios 8 software through laptop and I try to update the software in ipad2, it said update failed and it went in to restore mode. so when I try to restore it, it says Ipad could not be recovered and unknown error occured with number 3194, so Now I don't have any software in it. so could you please let me know how should I proceed further, as I dont have any software now. how to revert back or update to ios8.

N95 Restore after software update

Hi, I've just updated my firmware on my N95 for the first time.
Before doing so it gave me the warning that I should backup all the data on my phones memory as I would lose it, which I did.
I then installed the new software, but when trying to restore my backup file, I came accross a problem. The restore gets to 68% everytime, but won't go any further. I even left it for 2 hours last night, but still no luck. So i've now lost all my contacts and texts! Has anyone else had a similar problem?

if you had your contacts stored on the sim card,those should be still intact, do you have the latest verion of the pc suite? did you try to shut down your computer and restart it again and give pc suite a try again? those maybe some obvious things, and no i have no better ideas for you at this time sorry

There is no way to retrieve the 4 digit code. You have to restore the device if you don't know the code and you cannot unlock the device. There have been more than a few users that are asking about this and they are all saying the same thing that you are saying - they never set a passcode before.
What is the exact message that you are getting when you try to update?

Iphone restore after software update

I've just updated my Iphone 3gs with the new IOS6 software. It all downloaded fine until the download finished and the phone restarted..the phone then restarted on factory settings and has now just restored from backup. Does this mean I'll have lost all my messages and things off my phone? Bit worried

Virtually ALL of the people who experience data loss during the upgrade process have experienced it because of user error.
If you failed to backup all of your data before attempting a major iOS upgrade then that is just plain foolish. Had you backed up all of your data as apple recommends, even if your phone blew up during the upgrade process, you would have been able to retrieve all your data with a brand new phone.

Ipod won't restore after software update

I was updating my daughter's iPod Touch last night with the new OS update. Everything downloaded smoothly, but when iTunes tried to restore her iPod, I got an error message that said there was a problem restoring the iPod. I have tried every single troubleshooting tip I could find and no luck. Is there anything that can be done without having to buy a new iPod? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just some more information: I keep getting the "Connect to iTunes" screen on the iPod, and when I try to connect to iTunes, the iPod is not recognized at all. I have also tried the trick of holding in the Power and Home buttons at the same time; no luck.

ISO 5 HELP RESTORING AFTER SOFTWARE UPDATE iPHONE

ive downloaded iso 5 and backed up my iphone 4 etc and while the update is on my phone, its taking me through the steps of 'location services' wifi networks' 'set up iphone' - 3 options - im trying to restore from itunes and nothing is happening, it just says on itunes 'backing up step 1 of 5' and goes super quick and nothing happens, also my photos, videos, apps etc are no longer visable on itunes. My phone is stuck with the connect to itunes logo while in itunes it recognises the phone, but the iphone is locked on that screen.

Try doing a hard reset of the phone. Hold the power and home button in together until the apple logo comes on and then let go. That should get you out of the 'connect to itunes' screen and back into the phone. I suggest then trying to connect again.
