My iPad is connected to my WiFi, but I have no internet even though I do on my computer
Help, with my question please.
When you say you've reset your password, I have a suspicion you are actually entering that password into iPad when you were prompted for it. iPad is not really looking for the router password, but is looking for the encryption key code from your router. Go to your router and look for a 13 digit code comprised of numbers and letters. Jot it down. On iPad, go into setting and reset network settings. Then turn on wifi and when your router appears in the router list, choose it. It may take a minute, but eventually a box will pop up asking for a password. Enter the encryption code you jotted down and let us know if you then have access to the internet.

Ipad is connected to the wifi but unable to access internet or receive mail.
Recently set up new broadband connection. Wifi set up and iphone, computer all able to connect to wifi and internet. Ipad recognises old networks and able to connect for wifi access, but for this new connection I am able to connect with the ipad but it does not seem to be able to receive or transmit any information, hence I am unable to access any internet, update any apps or check my email. Can anyone help? I've tried rebooting the system, forgetting the network and shutting the ipad off, all to no avail!
I've rebooted the router, I've made the ipad forget previous settings, rebooted the ipad, called the useless talktalk technical help. I have used this ipad previously with a previous talktalk connection. I'm not sure why this time I can't connect - perhaps its the security setting on the new router that isn't competible with the ipad? I'm using a D-link DSL-3680 router if that helps

Our IPod connects to the WIFi, but not to the internet.
Our IPod connects to the WIFI, but not to the internet. We have a wireless router which we connect our MACBOOK to the internet and our IPod. The MACBOOK works fine, but not the IPod. It shows to be connected to WIFI, but whenever we try to connect to an internet site i.e. Sarfari, we get an message "Safari cannot open the page becuase it is not connected to the internet". We have tried rebooting, but it has not helped.
Try:
- Resetting the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Setting

TS3972 My Apple TV connects to the wifi but not to the internet.
My Apple TV connects to the wifi but not to the internet. Currently using a D-Link Router and Shaw Cable in BC Canada.
Apple says "Connections through proxy servers are not supported". Would that be Shaw? How can I update the ATV
software without connecting to a TV and the internet? Can I connect it to my MacBook Pro? ATV worked very well in Arizona
using CenturyLink as an ISP provider and their modem/router. ATV software is 5.0.What happens when you try to connect? I would contact your ISP

I have an iPad that will not connect to the wifi at our house. My sister also has an iPad and it connects automatically. Mine is the only one that will not. I can't figure how to get it to work. I have taken my iPad other places with wifi and it connects right away. I know that some wifi systems have a limit on how many things can connect to them but I have even gone so far as turn off the wifi on every device that we have that connects to the wifi and it still doesn't work. I don't know what to do or how to get it to work?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

TS1398 my ipad is connected to my wifi, but can't access the internet.
When I am in the same room as my wireless router, my Ipad accesses the internet correctly. When I go into a room where my Ipad and laptop couldn't reach my router, I installed an extender. Now, my laptop and my wife's Ipad can access the internet, but my Ipad can't. What should I do?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I'm connected to wifi, but i have no internet
I've been connecting to my home wifi for a few months and have had no problems, but resently i have had problems with my ipod. I connect my ipod to my wifi, (which does have internet because i'm connected to it right now with my desktop)and it says it is connected and at full signal strength, but when i attempt to go to the app store or safari it says that i am not connected to the internet. Is there a way i can fix this without having to restore my ipod? I have already tried restarting it, but that hasnt worked. Sometimes i can connect and sometimes i cant.
it is connected and at full signal strength
That only means it sees your wifi router. I suspect that if you go Settings>Wi-Fi and touch the blue triangle to the right of the router you are connected to, you will see an IP Address that starts with 169. This is a self-assigned address and means you are NOT connected to the internet. -
my ipad will not load any pages an after about 10 mins comes up with safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding but iam conected to wifi please help as i have been trying for 2 days now and is doing my head in

My iPad connects to my Wifi, but wont load the internet
My iPad connects to all other wifi connections, but not my orange broadband one at home.
In the network settings it only shows the IP address and subnet mask. It seems like it should have a router information and DNS settings, maybe even search domains too. But I cant add router settings and no idea what to put in the others!
Have also tried reseting network settings, upgrading to iOS 5, rebooting my ipad and restarting it (holding down sleep and home button).
Anyone know how to solve this problem? Maybe I need to ask orange about it? ThanksLook at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

My computer says that i'm connected to the wifi but I have an alert that says no internet connection
no internet connection
This means you're connected to the signal that your router is sending, however your router isn't connected to or sending out the wifi. You should read the user manual to indicate what the blinking lights indicate
or you can reset your router wtih it plugged into the modem and then setup the wireless connection in it.
you could also try turning on and turning off the modem and then turning off and then turning on the router before you reset it.
hope this helps -
Why won't my macbook air connect to my wifi, but I have no problems with other devices?
I can't seem to connect my macbook air to the internet. I have no problem with my regular mac. What could the problem be?
Let us know what any error message is. Otherwise some general things you can try is creating a new network location in System Preferences > Network. Also you can reset the network settings by deleting /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and restart the computer.
