My iPad is damaged, heat ??

I just noticed my new iPad is slightly damaged, at dock connector!!
I brought it to an apple premium reseller, there saying its impact damage, impossible as its never out of its case !! I have photo !! Don't know where I stand with warranty :(

Definitely not heat. I'm using all my iPads (1, 2 and 3) in extreme conditions (even in the sauna). No problems so far.

do not use anyother app while you are using skype , its not your software fault problem is regarding to your device,physically check your device from where you bought it

Ipad water damaged

i put my ipad and bootle in the backpack and i fell down so the bootle is opened and the Ipad was damaged by water. When i use power button to lock screen, it perform as i want to shut down the Ipad and it repeat many times. Then when i shut down it, it restart many times automatically. What should i do now?

Since you powered it on without drying it out first, the damage is done now. Call Apple and make an appointment for them to evaluate it.
Be prepared to pay for an out of warranty replacement.

New Ipad 64GB 4G heat up!!

Hi, anyone having new ipad get heat up during charging or after 30mins use?

It depends on the type of use on the iPad in regards to it heating up or not. Some activity I do on the iPad will definitely heat it up, while other things will not. Casual web browsing doesn't seem to heat it up, while I believe the maps and location services will. If you were to get an app that shows you the processor level of activity along with what process is working at the time - you could probably find out which app is doing it.
In charging it, I've noticed that the charger that comes with the iPad gets hot, itself, but the iPad doesn't. On the other hand, when I plug it into the car charger (one I got at the local Apple Store) - the iPad really heats up upon charging and gets really hot to the touch. I can take it inside and do it on the standard charger, right at that time, and the iPad willl cool down, even though it's supposedly getting the same charge as it was in the car. I'm not sure why there is a difference in the two situations.

I bought iPad mini retina today and I noticed its heating up and battery draining very fast at 20% in less than an hour.

iPad Air's appear to be susceptible to frequent crashes.

Ipad 3 damage to charging pins

hi, iam unable to connect to itunes with the use of a usb cable. when i took my ipad to the apple store they said it had a couple of bent pins and also some water damage. how can they tell this the water damage that is,as it work fine apart from the itunes issue. and they would do no more checks ???

There are moisture indicators in the dock connector port and in the earbuds port.
Accidental damage is not covered under the standard one year warranty.

You can't use the ones from your old Palm device, but there are a variety of capacitive styla available for use with iPads (and other things with capacitive touch displays). Personally, I like the BoxWave, though it's a little on the short side -- the nib is great, though. The Acase ones aren't bad either. There's a company called CCM that makes some very inexpensive ones that are very similar to the BoxWave ones -- but they come in a 3 pack and you don't get nearly as upset with yourself when you lose one.

IPad 3 over heat with OS7

Since I had my iPad 3 updated to Os7 I am noticing that it is getting real hot after short period of using it. We mainly use it for surfing the net and my wife has a puzzle she puts together on it.

My iPad started heating up recently while using it. Almost too hot to hold??? Never did this before update. The heat is causing massive battery drain as well, what's up is there a fix or is my iPad about to die.

I found what looks to be a minor chip near the front camera of my ipad air. I can see it if the sun is shining on the iPad but I don't see it as easily otherwise. No. Apple care will not cover accidental damage, which is what that will be classified. If you have apple care plus, then it will be covered with the service fee.
What you could qualify for is an out of warranty replacement, and hte fee for that starts at 249 and goes up depending on your model.

Folks, I am facing significant difficulty with overheating of the charger whenever I plug it in for charging. I purchased ipad 3 in the US recently and am using it in India with an adapter ( without a transformer). What could be the reasons? would I need to take it to a service center?

Hi! been charging my ipad with transformer (in india)--the two--transformer and charger used to get heated up, but not much and ipad used to get fully charged fairly quickly--2hrs. Now, suddenly, the charger gets heated UP--definitely overheated and the charger stops functioning in a few seconds. Has a solution been found, do I have to rplace transformer, is it available in Bangalore, preferably over the counter?
