The problem is, my girlfriend never synced in to an itunes account before giving it to her. So itunes is not recognizing her device. How do I enable the ipad without i tunes?

I have a 5s phone that has been updated to 8.0.2. I have the latest update for iTunes. I had all of my music in the phone before the upgrade to 8. I tried to re-sync the phone and now there is no music in the phone and it will not sync with iTunes. any solutions??
What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Does iTunes see the iPod?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Ratings and play counts not synced to iTunes
I just got a 2G iPod nano 2GB. Whenever I add ratings or increase the play count for songs on the iPod and then sync to iTunes, the ratings and play counts are obliterated by whatever iTunes has for its data. Example: I make a 5 star smart playlist in iTunes with Live update, then while listening to iPod I rate some songs with 5 stars. They show up in the playlist on iPod since they have 5 stars, but once I sync with iTunes again, the stars are wiped out and the smart playlist is back to exactly what is was in iTunes.
It seems to me that syncing should take whichever has newer information (iPod or iTunes) and propagate it to the other. I read some topics from others that had this same problem and people have repeatedly stated that Automatic syncing must be enabled and not manually manage music. I don't have room to put all my music on the iPod, but I have enabled automatic syncing with selected playlists. My question is this: does this count as automatic updating for the purposes of ratings and play counts being copied to iTunes when I sync with iPod? Or does automatic sync need to be for the entire library in order for ratings and play counts to be propagated? Thanks!
iPod nano 2G Windows XPMy question is this: does this count as automatic updating for the purposes of ratings and play counts being copied to iTunes when I sync with iPod?
it should do. green eyes is a second gen nano, i'm syncing selected playlists only, and my play counts and ratings are updating in the smart playlists.
are you playing the songs through completely? i'm noticing that i only get a playcount update if i've completely played the song. (the ratings changes go through regardless of whether or not i've completely played a song on green eyes, though.) -
My Ipad was syncing perfectly until I updated software then I get a message Error Unknown problem OxE8000003. What to do?
restart your computer.
make sure your itunes is up to date. ((Help menu, check for updates)) -
Music and videos do not sync from iTunes to iPhone 4
Hi all, any help on this issue appreciated. I have recently purchased an iPhone 4 and wanted to sync music and some videos on to it. I have successfully done this on my iPod Nano. But when I attempt it with the iPhone 4, the iTunes program freezes or stalls, and in Windows task manager it shows the program as 'Not responding'. I've probably tried it about 10 times now with different songs or videos but the same thing happens.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening. Could it be my PC just being a bit old? Seems strange though when it works fine for the iPod.
ThanksI'm having that problem with a number of podcasts as well. I'm getting a error message that the files will not play on the iphone.
I've tried switching usb ports, restoring iphone, uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, fixing permissions, rebooting, etc.
I've been able to download a podcast onto the iphone through the itunes app, which then plays fine until I synch w/ itunes and then itunes removes the podcast.

2 iphones, one will sync and one will not sync to itunes
My wife's iphone will sync, no problem. I plug my iphone in, doesn't recognize it. Tried everything, authorizing computer, disabling firewall, itunes latest version, and nothing seems to work. Help!
Syncing your phones to the same iCloud account won't cause them to both ring all the time, it only puts the same contacts, calendars, and other synced data on the phone. The phones will only ring with someone calls the number associated with the phone.
If you want to stop using iCloud on one or both of the phones, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then choose Keep On My iPhone when prompted. This will disconnect them from iCloud and keep a copy of the synced data on the phone. -
Good morning to all of you in this community. The reason for this discussion being started up is because I am having trouble uploading some mp3 files that I purchased through Facebook. most of the songs uploaded successfully with no problem, bit there are a few that I can't find although I downloaded them. I am a new user to Apple products, so this is quite an annoyance to have to be dealing with. If anyone has any helpful suggestions I would appreciate it greatly, thank you.
Interesting, this is the first time I hear one can purchase songs via Facebook. Note that unless youpurchased the songs from iTunes, you will not be able to add them to the Music app on your iPHone.

I just received my IPad and it will not sync with ITunes and my Mac doesn't recognize it any form. The screen is black with the exception of the annoying ITunes/USB cable graphic on the screen which appears momentarily and then disappears. Any ideas?
Things you can try first off,
is make sure you plug in your USB at the back of the mac, rather than for example keyboard.
Check out another usb cable.
Hold down sleep/wake and home button at the same time to reset iPad.
Make sure you have the latest iTunes installed or you may have to reinstall iTunes.
None of these work then I suggest you to take it to an Apple retail store for the genius guy to check it out.
