My ipad is glitching out and cannot press all the things in the screen should i reserve a place at the genius bar ?

my ipad mini is starting to glitch out and wont allow me to press everythig on the screen. i tried to restart my ipad but it wont let me write in things on the keyboard. Should a reserve a place at the genius bar?

sorted the problem. Hold down the home button and sleep button at the same time for aprox 10 seconds until the device switches off and restarts with the apple logo...... done

Can I get my Macbook Pro just checked out and tuned up at the genius bar?

I'm having a hard time getting my questions answered. Basically I've had my Macbook Pro for four and a half years, but it's still doing mostly fine. It's just showing it's age slightly I think, with more spinning wheels than usual and odd things like the date is usually set to 1999 when I turn the computer on, but it rights itself in a few minutes. Also most the time when I plug it in it says it's not charging and I have to try multiple times. None of this is a huge deal, it's just that I really need the computer to last me preferably at least another year, so I worry about it a bit. I do take good care of it though. I'm about to move out of the country for a year, so I'd like to get it just checked out and perhaps tuned up a bit so that any problems are taken care of and it's in the best shape before I move away. I'd like to make a genius bar appointment, but the closest Apple store is a two hour drive from my home, so I don't want to go into it not having any idea how much it will cost or if they'll even be able to do what I'm hoping in the span of a single workday. I really don't want to have to drive back later to pick it up or have it sent off somewhere to be repaired, although if it does have serious problems I'd be willing to do that. I'd just like to know going in to it what the price range is likely to be like. I don't want to make the drive to the Apple store and have them tell me it's going to be a few hundred dollars just to have my computer looked over. And I don't even know if they offer that service, let alone if they can do it in a single afternoon. I've tried calling the store and conversations with the automated person really are not helpful. He just tells me to go online and make a reservation, and I can't figure out how to get my questions about cost and service answered.
Also, am I being foolish hoping my four and a half year old Macbook will last at least another year or two? I have no idea what the "life expectancy" is for these things. I know nothing really about computers at all, so forgive my ignorance.

The genius bar technicians can check your MBP for possible hardware problems and specific software issues that you may have. The diagnosis will be free. Any extensive repairs will not be free.
If you have minor software problems, you essentially will have to deal with them yourself. Examine these two comprehensive documents for possible problem definition and solutions. If you encounter problems that you are unable to cope with, start a new discussion and there will be persons willing to assist you in solving them.

I feel as though I am forced into repairing the iphone before I can backup the information (photos, videos, contacts). If the apple ID on the device is the same as the one on my iMac I do not understand why I have to unlock the iphone by typing in the 4 digit passcode. This is a little ******** as having the screen break seems to be the usual prpblem with the iphone, I want to be able to backup my files when I feel the obvious need to do so (eg. when it breaks)! I also believe I shouldn't have to use other apps for backing it up (which I obviously have to pay for).. I am rather angry with this issue.

Okay folkes, you were right and I was wrong.. I admit it. But I was pretty mad though when I tryed to backup the last few contacts I needed for work and couldn't do so. Worst things are when something gets broken (by me or whatever) when there is an emergency. I needed the contacts off of that phone real fast and couldn't do it, thats what got me real mad. And btw I am a Russian living in Moscow and instead of having an official Apple store we have shopes called ReStore who resell apple devices with ridiculous prices, same thing with the repairs. It is cheaper to sometimes buy a new iphone then repair an old one.. So there.. but I repaired it and now happy again with my apple device.. Also I know the itunes and icloud are free and I do back it up, this time however I couldn't use them and had to try the iphone extractor app, which is not free. There.. You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.

I can't find my device on iTunes and I have done the hide bar and show bar, but it still isn't working.

I need help syncing my iPod Touch to my iTunes. It's a replacement iPod and not all of my information was transferred. I am also using a different computer than the one I used for my last iPod. - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If you want to use the "newest updated whatever available." then you would have to buy the newest hardware that supports that. iPad 2 is not the newest hardware available and it can't/does not support siri.

Having done the update the wifi option is now greyed out and cannot be selected at all. I have rebooted, forgotten networks and turned on and off so many times. There is nothing wrong with the wifi at home as other devices connect no problem. What can I do?

Go to your Applications folder and find a file called "Install OS X Mavericks". Send it to the trash and delete it. Then try the download again.

The advisor should not have told you this for legal reasons. There is no way of tracking the iPhones just of finding out which SIM cards were used to activate them and if they were activated at all. Court can authorize Apple to release this information to the count. There is no legal way without involving a judge.
