My IPAD is hung up - how do I get it released?
Hi, my new Ipad is locked and do not respond - holding down the home button and the top button does not release the Ipad...any ideas?

Locked? What does locked mean? It will not power up? Is the battery charged? When you tried the reset/reboot - did you hold the buttons down long enough?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I recently bought a MacBook Air. I migrated the info from my old MacBook to the new Air. None of my contacts migrated. I still have them on my old Macbook, Ipad and iPhone. How do I get them to the new Air?
You can copy the iWeb application from the desktop machine to your new MBA. But if it's iWeb 2 it won't work with Mavericks or Mt. Lion. Also copy the Domain.sites file from the desktop to your MBA as that's the file with your webstite files in it.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

My mother just purchased a new ipad, first version. How do I get her gmail addess book to show on her ipad. She can receive emails but cannot access her addrsss book to send an email.
ThanksIf she is using the mail app, there doesn't appear to be a way to sync contacts directly with gmail. You might see if there is a way to export to a Mac desktop and then to use iTunes to sync the contacts to the iPad. Otherwise the contacts will have to be manually added to the iPad. Another option would be to use gmail's web based mail. Her contacts should be available from there.

You may have pop-ups blocked.
Go to Settings>Safari and turn "Block pop-ups" off. You may needs to restart the ipad after turning off this settings if it doesnt work immediately -
I wish to reset my ipad (as advised by the Apple Store) to attempt to resolve an issue with a non-responsive part of the screen.. However, when I select General>Reset>Erase all content and Settings, I am prompted for a a Restrictions Passcode (which I have never set). I have now entered random codes 11 times and the ipad has not reset. How do I get past this? I am now at the point where I have to wait 60 mins before I can enter another random passcode. I just want the ipad to clear down, erase everything so I can start again.
The other option is to force iPad into Recovery Mode.

i backed up my broken ipad to my computer yesterday, returned it to Apple & got it replaced today and have now accidently backup'd on my computer over the top of my original Ipad Back up from yesterday. Can anyone advise how do I get previous copy of my back up??
Look at this knowledge base article on iOS backups to iTunes, note where the backups are kept for your type of computer, Windows or Mac, go to that Library location and see if there are any other files with the same name as the current backup but with a different extension and date/time stamp. If so you can edit the extension of the current backup and then change the extension of the previous backup so it looks like what was on the current and the do a restore. iTunes will think the older backup is now new and use it to restore.
If there are no such files then you over-wrote the backup and it is gone. -
