Does anyone know how to unfreeze a screen.
My mini Ipad is only 2 months old and it has frozen. The screen says that the ipad needs to be backed up on icloud but the touch screen has frozen and I can even shut it down. SuggestionsTry to reboot it. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple, about 20 seconds or so. It should reboot and work for you.

My ipad has stopped responding. Can't turn it off or anything
My iPad isn't responding. I can't shut it own or anything. It's just stuck
A little more info would be helpful?
What were you doing when this happened? Is the screen on or completely black? Is the iPad making any sounds?
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -
My iphone 4s screen is frozen, i can not shut the phone off, can not answer the phone or texts,
Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start. Usually takes about 10 seconds. Just keep holding both buttons.

Hi
My iPad, which is brand new, has just frozen. It wont do anything. The screen is on but I cant just it down. Help!!First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. -
I have just bought an new i Phone, but I had an old iPod that I authorized on iTunes.
Now, when I'm trying to deauthrize it, iTunes just get stuck, and won't continue working unless i shut it down directly from the task manager....
What can I do?
ThanksCould any of the music have been sourced on an external USB drive or a network drive? In iTunes, go to one of the songs that won't sync. Bring up the info page, and look at the location of that song on the disk. Does that file and path exist? That could be your problem, especially if they were on a USB drive you forgot about.

My screen has frozen with a picture of itunes and a usb cord cannot shut it down or anything
my screen on my ipad 2 is frozen with itunes and a usb cord picture on it. cannot shut it down or anything
You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost. -

Hopefull you have the Serial Number. Give the S/N to the police. It will help if someone tries to pawn.
Without Find My iPad or password required, someone can easily erase all your files/pps & your unique info.

My MacBook Pro freezes at random instances and then I can't shut it down
Product name: MacBook Pro 15 inch mid 2009
Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Storage: Macintosh HD 500 GB
Operating system: 10.9.5
Hi. The past two days I have started experiencing some problems with my macbook. It started while I was playing Football Manager with a dialog box coming up stating "could not access match data" or something like that, which caused my save game to not being able to be rewritten. I quit the game and tried to open Chrome but the icon jumped once and then it stopped without opening the browser. I tried to shut down my laptop but no dialog box came up and nothing happened. I relaunched finder but it didn't fix the problem so I was forced to shut down my laptop by holding on the power button. After that my laptop and the applications were working fine and I thought it was a problem created by the game. However, later on in the day, and while I was browsing on chrome I got an "Aw snap" message and chrome stopped working. I quit chrome, tried to relaunch it but the same thing with the icon happened and then I couldn't restart my laptop or shut it down or use any other application. After I force shut down my computer I downloaded the last update for my OS X, reinstalled Chrome, removed a lot of stuff from my HD leaving 120 GB free and thought that that would solve the issues. But it didn't. Twice more chrome froze and once more Football Manager leading to the same issues. I can't see what I am doing to cause this, and it seems that it started happening out of the blue. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me identify the problem and ultimately fix it. Let me know if you require more info.I don't know if we are experiencing the same problem, but this is what I did and it seemed to work for me so far.
Before anything I had to hard restart my laptop. hold power button until off then turn back on.
In Finder click on Go, then click Go to Folder. in the dialogue box type
/var/db/crls
In that folder there are two files that you need to move to the trash
crlcache.db
ocspcache.db
You will need to type in your password to move these to the trash.
Restart your computer and then Empty the Trash. It is very important that you empty the trash afterwards. I forgot to do this the first time and I had to restart the whole process. It has been a few days and I have been without any problems.
I am not claiming this process to be my own, I found it on another discussion thread and it worked for me. I don't have a link to it because I had to use someone else's computer and had no luck trying to find it again. This is the procedure I followed, I do remember it well and I wrote down the steps because I had to do it twice and got tired of combing through all of the websites I have searched looking for a fix to my problem. Hopefully this helps, and try it at your own risk of course.
Let me know if you try it and it works or not, good luck. -
I have Firefox set so that when I start up, I have it set so that it automatically goes to my home page. However when it freezes, which it does on a daily basis, and I have to shut it down and re-start, it automatically goes to the site which caused the problem in the first place.
If I was a hacker, I would probably find it quite fun to design a virus to reintroduce bugs after they had been exterminated - except that Firefox seem to have got there first. Here's how:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes''' preference and enter 0 (that's a zero) and click OK.
When Firefox resumes after a crash, instead of resuming automatically, it will display a list of your previous windows and tabs and you can deselect problem pages.
(This assumes it wasn't a private browsing session.)
