My ipad is locked as i forgot the pincode when i plug it into either of my laptops my laptop doesnt recognise it and says it is locked by code and needs to be unlocked but the ipad says it needs to be restored and connected to itunes
I am lost and not sure what to do now. I locked my ipad which tells me to connect to to itunes. When I connect to either of my laptops it tells me that my ipad is locked and needs to have the code unlocked yet the ipad says to to go itunes as it is disabled. My laptops do not recognise my ipad. What do I do now ?
1: Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

I've just been given a perectly working iPhone 4s which I have set up without having to plug it into a computer. The computer is recognising that something has been plugged in becasue of the noise it's emitting however it's also not coming up in 'My Computer'. How do I connect my iPhone to my iTunes as I have music to put onto it before the beginning of school?? I have uninstalled iTunes and re-installed it again but it's not having any affect and I have the most up to date iOS on the phone and on the iTunes.

Did you recently adjust your ringtones? Whenever the phone mounts/unmounts the SD card there is an alert that plays, if you recently changed this alert it would explain this.

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

I tried to export photos from iMac to iPad using a USB flash drive. The photos are on the drive but when I plug it into the iPad, the iPad says the device requires too much power. Any ideas of what type of USB flash drive I should use?
You can transfer photos outside of iTunes. I do it all the time. THat said, i have a 50/50 success rate with them. I'd avoid sandisk and kingston, their bundled software triggers the 'too much power' warning.
I've had mixed luck with lexar, some work, some don't.
I did have good luck with an older 4 gig geek squad one.
Look for drives without software on them, without bright LED lights and I haven't gotten any larger than 4 gig to work, but that may just be me.
For a less troublesome way? h onestly, I use a SD card that I've formatted with the DCIM folder. I've never had one of them trigger the 'too much power' warning. Just make sure they're not SDXC. those don't work. -
I did not sync my iPad to iTunes to my PC. Now my iPad is disabled because I forgot my passcode when I installed iOS 7 to it.
Before anyone cuts and pastes the info from Apple support in response to this, I have already tried those steps. iTunes simply states that it cannot do anything since the iPad is locked with a passcode. I cannot access iCloud to use that specific advice as iCloud will not let me sign in; a message keeps coming up reading that there is an error with the server. Remote Swipe? Not sure. It is three hours later, and I am no further.
What else can I do? I never had a passcode set up when I first got my iPad. I would have bypassed this with the installation of iOS 7 if I had known about this.

I was using my iPad one morning looking at ebay, and then I locked it and came back and when I clicked the home button nothing happend. When I clicked the lock button nothing happened, when I plugged it into iTunes nothing happened and it didn't show uunder "Devices" on to side. Please help me I don't know how to fix this and it's been two days since it happened.
I would then try and do a hard reset like Fernando recomends if that doesnt work you might need to try a DFU Restore.

I have bought an ipad, and when i go to reset it, it needs the restrictions password which i dont know. When i plug it into itunes, it asks to turn find my iphone off, which needs the password of the old owners itunes.What should i do?
If you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
If not, you can't use the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

IPAD 2 WiFi only. Can I access the Internet when I plug into my computer that is connected to a LAN?
I just purchased an IPAD2 and I love it. It's WIFI only, and I want to access the Internet when I plug in to my computer since I don't have 3G capability. But when I try and connect it won't allow. Is this standard? Am I preventing from high speed internet access on my IPAD 2 even when my computer is connected to the Internet? Any help would be much appreciated
You cannot access the internet through the connection to a computer hooked up to the internet.
It may be possible to configure your PC as a WiFi access point. Check your PC documentation for its capabilities.
Or, purchase a WiFi router and hook it up to your ISP modem. You can hardwire your PC to the modem.
Good WiFi routers can be purchased for $30-$40 dollars if you shop around. -
I tried updating my iPod, and ever since it has not worked at all. If I hold in the lock & home button, it will tell me to plug it into iTunes. Once I do that, it says it will restore but every time, restoring it fails. My iPod is not working at all, and I really have no idea what to do. It is just a black screen, and occasionally the white apple will appear as if it were turning on, but it won't turn on. I just need some suggestions on what to do!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

The battery for my macbook pro 13 says "service battery". Now I want to get a replacement but the reviews for it are horrible! Does anybody have any suggestions? I don't want to spend 130 dollars on something I'm going to have to replace in less than a year (which is what normally I been reading) I do design work and I take my mac everywhere. Why does it matter if it a scam????? I'll let you figure that out by yourself. If I'm going to replace it, why should I be contempt with a battery that I have to replace within months (as stated by some people in the comments). The issue here is not if I should or not replace it OBVIOUSLY I'm going to have to before it starts going crazy. The underlying issue is why is the replacement battery for a lack of better words " a bit crap." It comes with a 3 month guarantee?? Is that a joke?!??!?! Some people complained it malfunction after only 8- 9 months? I'm sorry but as an Apple fan I think it's absolutely rubbish. I know there is no magic cure I'm just hoping someone shines the light on how crappy this replacement is.

I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -
Hey guys. My IPhone 3GS is unlocked and i went to update the software and it said that an unknown error has occurred and said it needed to be restored to connect with Itunes. When i got to restore it, it gets about 3/4 of the way done, says an unknown error has occured(1015). I have no clue what to do and all and any help would be amazing.
