My IPad is neither updating nor installing apps.

I tried to update some of my apps, but nothing is happening. I even got a new and the result was the same. They are all with the waiting message, but nothing is going on. What can I do ?

Here are a number of things that you can try that have worked for other users in the past. YMMV.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
Update the app from the app description page of the App Store. Do a search for the app that needs the update in the App Store. When it appears in the search, tap on the icon to get the description window to pop up. Tap on Update or Install next to the icon. Sometimes that will unclog the waiting jam.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Power cycle the router.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

On my IPad I cannot update or install any Apps. I've tried restarting and that did not help. The Apps are stuck, darkened and say Waiting.... Please help me figure this issue out.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

You are doing all that you cn do right now other than to update the apps in iTunes on your computer and sync them to the iPad.
There has been a problem with the App Store updates tab for a few days now and we are all waiting for Apple to fix it.
Look at all of the discussions on the iPad forum that are talking about this right now.

When I try to update or install apps on my iphone 3gs, it tells me my apple id is disabled, but when I log in on my pc it lets me.  Any ideas what to do?

Try signing out, then back in on your phone: Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in.  If that doesn't work, reset your password here: https://iforgot.apple.com.

when i try to update my installed apps, my password is not accepted.  it works for everything else.  any ideas?

Those apps must have been purchased under a different Apple ID. You will have to delete and re-purchase/re-download them under the new one to solve this issue.

Resetting your iPod should deleting the waiting and will probably solve your problem:

button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Can't update or install Apps on my Iphone5. On my iPad  mini it works.

I can not complete the install or the update of the Apps on my iPhone 5. A few days ago it works great. I have iOS 6.0.2
On my iPad mini with the same Apple ID it still works.
    Please help me.

Double tap the Home button to bring up the multi-tasking bar. Tap & hold any app until they all start to wiggle & a red minus sign appears next to each app. Tap the red minus sign to remove all apps from the multi-tasking bar. Tap the Home button when finished.
Then, reset your phone: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
    Try now.

  • My Mac wont let me update pre installed Apps.

It tells me I have updates available for this computer but as soon as I click on update in the App store, it says You Have Updates Available for Other Accounts (please sign in to your other account to update these apps). I only have 1 Apple ID and it was used at time of purchase. The main apps in question are; Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band. I had them Pre installed during purchase. Can i fix this on my own, or am i making a trip to Apple?

What exacly happens? With iOS 6 you do not have to enter the password to for free app updates?
It appears you have apps purchased ffrom different accounts that need updating
    - Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
    - To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

  • TS3274 My ipad shows 4 updates for the apps but the ipad doesn't update

IPad has 4 updates to do and the unit does not update.

If it is the blank white screen in the updates tab - Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

  • How to update pre-installed apps in macbook pro?

I bought a macbook pro last middle of Oct-2014. It uses Maverick OS and has pre-installed apps like iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand. Then the new OS Yosemite came. I updated my OS. Then I receive notice of updates for the said pre-installed apps. When I used to log-in my apple ID to installed the updates, App Store message that these apps were purchased using different account. How can I install the update? Do I need to bring my macbook to Apple to install the updates?

Contact Apple store support before going to the Apple Store.

  • My iPad will not update 2 of apps

My iPad will not update 2 of my apps. It shows the bar on them saying they need to load so I click on them and it says this app can not be uploaded at this time. I'm not sure what the problem is. I have tried to upload them on different types of internet and it will update all my other apps except those two.

Have you tried updating them one at a time? If that doesn't work, then update them in iTunes on the computer you sync with, delete the apps from your device, and then sync the updated ones to it via iTunes.

  • Updating and installing apps won't install after update to R29

    Hi all,
You can't update an existing app in Adobe DPS App Builder and install it.
You need to create a new app each time. This is to time consuming.
    Anyone else noticed this?
    regards
    Mario

We think we’ve located the problem. It could be the actual signing when you download the ipa frop DPS Builder.
    we’ve unpacked the ipa
    Removed the CodeSignatures folder
And signed it again manually using Terminal
Zipped it all back to an ipa
And we successfully installed the ipa using iTunes.
So therefore, we think this might be a signing issue in the Adobe DPS App Builder
