My iPad is not able to connect to 3G network.

Since last April, I am dealing with a connection problem. My3G connection falls away and I receive the message: No service.
I did all kind of restores, soft ones and hard ones, by iTunes etc. but nothing helps. Sometimes it is back and then it is again gone. I also placed a new simcard, but even that did not help. Unfortunately, Apple care in The Netherlands can't help me. Does any one has an idea how to solve this problem? Thanks

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Satellite L650-11R - not able to connect to public networks

    Hello there.
Although I am very pleased with my laptop, I have one problem. I am not able to connect to public networks using ethernet cable at some location (not everywhere) Users with different laptops have no problem connecting to the same networks that I cannot, so I'm guessing the problem is my laptop.
I always get "unidentified network" error. I tried replacing the cable but the problem still remains.
    Any suggestions?

Hi everybody, I have the same problem which happened with united & for the same product Satellite L650-1HR & also using default Toshiba OS, Windows 7 home premium.
from my home I can't connect to internet & always get "unidentified network" error also I tried replacing the cable but the problem still remains. only at my home & the same cable working properly with any other Laptop without any problem, outside home internet working properly without any problem.
I tried all ways, turned off firewall & the DHCP is already enabled, but I'm getting message telling that " the local aria connection does not have a veiled IP configuration"
    So what do you think?

  • Installed Certificate on Ipad but not able to connect to corporate server

The certificate is installed, but i am not able to get on to my server. when i go to mail.mycompany.com it only give me the option to check email, and not the option to log in remotely.... i am trying to log on to the remote desktop. Is there something on the server that i need to do with the firewall, etc.?
When i click on the profile on my ipad to view the certificate is shows "Unsigned"
    Please help...Thanks

I know that corporations may give you passthrough access to the Internet but will not actually join your device to the network. So, am guessing that several other options are possible that may explain your situation. Check with your network people. They should be able to clear this up for you or, at least, eliminate some options.

  • Not able to connect to wireless network by Time Capsule

Since yesterday (also updated time capsule firmware) I have reset my time capsule several times and re-setup my wireless (through time capsule). Wireless is visable in Airport configuration, but can not connect (either time out or keeps asking password). Ethernet through capsule to internet works OK, but wireless not. Ipad keeps asking me to connect to my own network; after inputting password no connection possible).

Hello tfh12. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
There is always a possibility that something may go awry when updating firmware. I would suggest at this point of reinstalling the earlier version to see if this resolves the problem.
If it does, you can always attempt to upgrade again.
To manually download and install previous (earlier) versions of firmware...
    o Open AirPort Utility.
o From AirPort Utility menu, hold the Option key and choose Check for Updates....
o Select (place a check mark beside) the version you require.
    o Click Download.
o Select your base station then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu.
o From the Base Station menu choose Upload Firmware....
o Select a firmware version and click OK.

  • Not able to connect to wireless network using WEP 128 bit hex password

I'm using a 128 bit hex WEP password on a Belkin wireless router.
My ascii passphrase is 13 characters.
I tried using the hex password generated by the Belkin router, as well as the hex equivalent of my ascii passphrase. Every time, I am told that either "there was an error connecting to the network" or the "password is incorrect" message.
I'm using channel 7, but have also tried with channel 11.
I tried using a $ sign in front of the WEP hex password. The $ does not work with Open Internet Connect or the Airport menubar.
I can connect if I don't use any encryption on the wireless network, and also through the Ethernet cable.
I have an iBook which connects fine to the wireless network.
So why doesn't the iMac work the same way ?

The security difference between NO encryption and any form of WEP is about 2 minutes or less for somebody looking to get in... besides having WEP enabled makes you look like an easy target since you think it'll stop anything!
Either leave it off, making Hackers think at least 3 minutes about WHY, or use/setup WPA of one form or another!

  • Want to update my iPad apps but my iPad is not able to connect to iTunes store.

want to update certain apps....but when it starts updating it say that it  cannot connect to iTunes store.

You have to be running iOS 5 in order to update via the iPad settings. You are running 4.3. You will have to update via the latest version of iTunes on a computer. After you update to iOS 5.1.1, you will be able to do OTA updates from the settings on the iPad.

  • UM175 - Not able to connect to office network with VPN

I am having trouble connecting to my office network using this wireless card, UM175, and connecting with a VPN. I have the VPN set up the same as many other computers connecting to our server. Currently when I start VZAccess, I can access the internet and everything works fine. When I start my VPN to connect to my office server, it takes multiple tries with error 691 being returned. After two or three tries it connects. I can ping my computer from the server. I can ping my router and my server from my notebook with the UM175. However, I cannot do anything with the server. I cannot access the internet, access files from the server, or access any software on the server. I contacted IT and our administrators and they tested the system and VPN and state that there is a problem with the modem UM175. Is there some setting that I must set to make this work correctly. This is an urgent matter and must be working, or I will have to purchase another type of modem.

Where are you located?  I'm in the Bay Area, CA and I was using the UM175 with my PPTP VPN without any problems.  However, I recently upgraded to the new 4G on Wednesday and now the PPTP VPN won't authenticate...errors on verifying user name and password.  I did a packet trace and found GRE packets are being dropped.  This is a Verizon issue and it appears their 4G upgrades have directly caused this problem.
There is another thread about this issue located here: http://community.vzw.com/t5/Broadband-Netbook-MiFi-Devices/LG-LTE-Modem-VPN-Not-Working/td-p/349846

  • Not able to connect to my network since upgrade 2 days ago

    Hello,
1 of my machines is unable to connect wirelessly to my network now.
It usually is on NetworkManager, and fails at the "setting address" stage.
I switched to manual setup to see where it fails and this I what I have:
ip link set dev wl works
    rfkill indicates no block
    wpa_supplican connects
    BUT
that's where it stops, I cannot get a DHCP lease with either dhclient or dhcpcd.
    They both timeout with nothing.
Strangely when I look at my router's log file, I see the requests coming but they are a bit strange, requests coming from this machine are as this:
    Jun 28 22:19:28 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[898]: DHCPDISCOVER(br0) 192.168.1.114 <MAC ADDRESS>
    Jun 28 22:19:28 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[898]: DHCPOFFER(br0) 192.168.1.114 <MAC ADDRESS>

    Jun 28 22:19:59 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[898]: DHCPOFFER(br0) 192.168.1.114 <MAC ADDRESS>
While for machines that connect it looks like this:
    Jun 28 22:13:41 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[480]: DHCPDISCOVER(br0) 192.168.1.108 <OTHER MAC ADDRESS>
    Jun 28 22:13:41 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[480]: DHCPOFFER(br0) 192.168.1.108 <OTHER MAC ADDRESS>
    Jun 28 22:13:41 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[480]: DHCPREQUEST(br0) 192.168.1.108 <OTHER MAC ADDRESS>
    Jun 28 22:13:41 tomato daemon.info dnsmasq-dhcp[480]: DHCPACK(br0) 192.168.1.108 <OTHER MAC ADDRESS> <HOSTNAME>
What does the one having issue not send the DHCPREQUEST?
I assume the ACK is coming from the router in exchange for the REQUEST.
    Thanks!

Hi. I had the same issue.
In my case it was caused by this bug: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78581
I solved it by downgrading the kernel, but there is also a workaround: setting the modprobe to "options ath9k_htc nohwcrypt=1" (I haven't yet tested this).
EDIT: The workaround works fine, I've just tested it. Simply create a file named /etc/modprobe.d/ath9k_htc.conf with the line "options ath9k_htc nohwcrypt=1", then reload the ath9k_htc module.

  • IPad 2 - I am not able to connect my iPad 2 to my tv anymore using AV adapter.

What is wrong with my iPad 2? I'm not able to conect my iPad to my proyector or tv anymore using AV adaptor. Is there something wrong with my iPad?
I tried it with my wife's iPad 2 and it was the same result. I was not able to connect her iPad to my TV. Niether TV or a proyector couldn't find the device.
Would you please help me? Your help will be well appreciated.

Sounds like the one common thing is the adapter. The cheaper, non apple branded ones tend to fail.
Try another adaptor before worrying about your ipad.

  • I have an iPad with iOS 5.0.1 that is not able to connect to cisco wireless networks at work.

Hi, I have an iPad that is not able to connect to any of the Cisco wireless access points at work. The iPad is on the latest iOS 5.0.1. I did a reset on the iPad and erased all content and settings. The wireless network I'm trying to connect uses WPA2 Enterprise encryption. I'm able to connect to a Verizon mifi device so I know wireless is working. It seems like it's just not getting the certificate. I'm able to connect to our wireless network from other iPads just fine except for this one device. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to troubleshoot the issue. Thank you.
    Julio

I suggest updating using iTunes on your computer (current version: 11.0.3).
    Update iOS first, then apps.
