My Ipad is not accepting my apple ID password

has anyone experienced problems with the Ipad2 not accepting the apple ID password?
I have already setup new apple IDs twice since it wont accept the password even when I change it, I dont want to loose my applications again....

My issue has been resolved. It was caused by the imessage server being down when I was trying to connect to imessage. Imessage is now accepting my ID and password.

As I have said in the title, I was supposed to do a restore on my iPad for work. I backed up the device and then I restored it to factory settings as I was instructed. Now that all of that is complete, I tried to restore it from the back up point I created and it will not recognize my Apple ID password. I really hope that I won't lose all of my data, but I don't know what else to do. I have tried entering my password numerous times. I really hope that someone can help me.

Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password.

FaceTime and iMessage not accepting my Apple ID password while iCloud and App Store already accepted them?

I cant sign in to iMessages and FaceTime while I sign in to App Store and iCloud with the same ID without any problem! Do they have different ID and password? If not tell me please what to do

Hi Friend,
First, Where are you located and what country did you buy your phone? Some countries have restricted facetime, ie middle east, UAE.
Check if you signed in Facetime with your Apple ID and password (Settings>>Facetime).
Check if you have signed iCloud in.
Check that FaceTime is not disabled in general/restrictions. If that isn't the problem try changing dns servers on your iPad.
Go to Contacts app and select the person you want call then tap Facetime.
Change your address for your currently location. If not works, change it for your native country.
If still not working, go to Settings -> General -> Date & Time -> Set Automatically: ON (Yes date time setting has been known to cause issue).

IPad 2 not accepting my apple id after update to iOS5

So I updated my ipad 2 to iOS5. After it's all done, there's sort of a step by step process before it takes you to the regular interface. After a couple of questions, it asks me for my apple id and password. I give input the info and hit next. On the following screen it says "For your security, your Apple ID login must be an email address" and I have a box to input an email. I give it the one that goes with my apple id and I get a popup notfication saying "This Apple ID is already being used, if this is your account, reset a forgotten password at iforgot.apple.com".
I'm not sure how to proceed here. I checked my ID/pass/email through iTunes. Everything is in order. I have no idea why it's not accepting my ID. Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried what you said. No help! I also have the imdb app, but it still shows my old ID and wants a password to match that, even tho I am signed in on the new password for the app store. Same thing on my ipad on my PC. One difference. On the PC it shows a number for the apps that need to be updated. But when I try to select apps for update at the bottom, it says I need to sign in with the other ID. The first time, it did show the apps themselves. But when I tried to update I got a message saying I did not own the majority share of those apps. Since then it won't even tell me which apps on the PC need update. On ipad2 they still show.
Unlike you, none of my apps show up in the purchased section on my PC itunes. The apps themselves do show and still work, so far. I just can't update.
Did you do anything else to cause your change? Sounds like you are making some progress. You might have stumbled across the answer. If only you could tell me what it is.

i have lent my ipad to my brother and he took it to Egypt
since it's back to uk i can't open my old apps it says on apple store software not compatable with apps , i called my service provided <vodafone uk > and i had them to back up on itunes and wipe i opad to factory settings and when i tried to put my apple id again
it said this ipad can only be opened with apple id < and it gives the first letters of my email > when i put my password it does not accepting it

TS5223 IPAD does not accept my Apple ID

I have several devices with the same Apple ID. All of them, including this site, accept my AppleID.
One of the devices, an IPAD with ios 7, does not accept it.
There are other wierd sympthoms, like it refuses to login to facebook suddenly.
Is there any solution for this problem?

Icloud id not accepting my apple ID password

I am having a problem with my icloud.com account. My ipad is prompting me for my password for my [email protected] log in. I though this was the same password as my appleID account. When I put in my appleID account passowrd (my appleID is NOT [email protected]), it tells me that it is not valid. I do not know what my @icloud.com password is that it is requiring. Additionally, I cannot "Sign Out" of the @icloud.com account, as it asks me for the password to turn off the "FindMyiPad" feature, which it will not accept. Furthermore, I cannot run ANY updates- including iTunes apps, as when I try it prompts me for the [email protected] password, which it will not accept my appleID password. Any help would be appreciated.

I just purchased a second hand iPad, I tried to activate it but it will not accept my password. the exact error is " Incorrect Apple ID [email protected] cannot be used to unlock this iPad"
I have changed passwords but no luck.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Itunes will not accept my apple id password in the store.

when I enter the store in itunes 11.0.1, a message popps up telling me to enter my password to enable automatic downloads. When I enter the correct password, the same message pops back up instantly. If I enter the wrong password, it tells me so in red. I can not do anything with the store, because it will not accept my account. I can purchase on other devices with the same account and password with no problem.

You may need to do a credit card "update" in your account. Apparently "it" needed a re-verify because I had accessed my apple account from another computer. Did so and it worked. Apple is opaque in many ways and it was totally unhelpful as it just kept rejecting my good password with no explanation.

App store will not accept my Apple ID Password

I try to connect to the app store to download and app or update existing app
i click on "get" for a free application downloadm the system just keep on asking me for password , it seems that for 3-5 sec it starts the download process and then again it asks for the password
I try to use "wrong" password and i get "wrong password" notice, so i know that i am using the rigth passward - it just wouldnt connect.
i try to "open" the option to use my fingure recognition optino for App - this is also asking for the password and go back to "close" and wouldnt allow me to use it.

Test your Apple ID & Password at id.apple.com. Click on Manage Apple ID, and then sign in. If it works, then try this. Close the app. Restart the device. Open the app up again and try to log in.
If the password doesn't work at id.apple.com, then reset the password.
Also, take a moment to double-check that it really is the exact same Apple ID. I've seen issues were there was a misspelling and someone ended up with two very, very similar Apple IDs ( example: 'b•••••@g•••••.com & b•••••@g•••••.comz)

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
