My Ipad is not connecting to my home wi-fi network
My Ipad is not connecting to my wi-fi network. I have never had this problem up until today. Has anybody else had this issue?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Despite trying the recommended trouble shooting options, my I pad will not connect to our home Wi-Fi network. The problem only started occurring this morning, and although it will recognise the Wi-Fi network, it will not connect.
Any other options I can try????Try rebooting the router. Just pull the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost.

My iPhone 4 will not connect to my home wi-fi network, and it doesn't take me to the password as it used to do. Comcast is my internet provider.
If you can see your home WiFi network inside Settings>WiFi, then press the blue arrow to the right of it, and on the next sreen press "Forget this network".
Now go back so that you see your network again, then press on it and you should be prompted for the password. -
My apple extreme wireless network is working fine with two Macs but ios devices (iPhone & iPad) will not connect. I can see the network and it's telling me I'm connected but Safari says I'm not connected to the internet. Everything was working until the ISP went down. Any suggestions?
Thank you, I've tried the support tips (resetting the network, checking security settings, etc.) and rebooting the network devices several times to no avail. I've actually been working on this for several days (when I can afford to have the network down).
What I have to determine is what has changed in the setup...from when it WAS working just fine with all devices. -

What type of wireless security are you using on the Wi-Fi network?
How many characters are in the password?
If you using WEP you'll want to use a 5 character key for 40 bit WEP, or a 13 character key for 128 bit WEP.

Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

I just returned from Europe and my ipad will not join my home WiFi network. It keeps giving me the message "Unable to join the network" Any ideas?

I have tried everything I can think of. I reset my phone, I reset my router. As far as I know nothing has changed but I think I did recently update my Iphone. Now what do I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It used to connect and work fine, now i get nothing.
Reboot the router. Just unplug it for a few seconds. No settings get lost.

Neither my Android tablet nor my brand new iPad 2 will connect to my home's wireless network, even though the tablet has never had a problem connecting before.

My brand new iphone5 will not connect to my home wifi even though it recognizes it. My ipad and my old iphone4s connect with no problem. Any thoughts?
Although your other devices connect okay, it would be worth resetting your router by switching if off for disconnecting it from mains power for 2 minutes and then switch it on again.

I have just updated the i06 software for my iPad and it will not connect to my home wifi network - all my other devices are able to connect to my wifi network.
I have attempted all troubleshooting actions suggested and nothing has worked. I have restored my iPad network and factory settings - Please help - this is frustrating meyou have to set up your router to solve th problem. first find and write down the ipad mac address.
then log on to your router using your laptop or any device that can connect to router at 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. please check out my posting about how to resolve the wifi connection problem.
i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more. -

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

Hi, my boot times vary regardless of any change. The Windows Readyboost log, event id 1015, shows the value for Cache Hit Percentage. When this is low, for example 0.4, the boot time is almost double that of a 0.9 Cache Hit Percentage. Does anyone kn
