My ipad is not recognized by Itunes. Only if I remove Itunes can I see my pictures.
Without Itunes installed, I can see my photos in the Camera Roll and transfer them to my computer. With Itunes installed, the USB is not recognized by Windows. I use a 64-bit machine and Windows 7. Is that normal?

Received new IPad 2 4 days a ago. Set-up WiFi on home network and 3G on At&T service all has been working until today. I turned 3G off Thursday so that WiFi was the primary source. Yesterday went to a friends house and IPad recognized WiFi and was able to use. Today not able to use WiFi at home only 3G. WiFi is working on my laptop so that is not the issue. Is there something that I am missing?
WiFi is on, but system is not recognizing it. I am not fimiliar with Ask feature, what is this? I have noticed from other posts that my WiFi indicator in the top left is grayed out. I have tried restore settings that some people have recommended. Sounds like alot of people are having problems with the newest launch of the IPad 2. I had put that I have the iOS 4.3.2 but it is iOS 4.3.3. Is there any problems with this operating system?

iPad is not responding. It ONLY shows an iTunes icon and a USB cable in the middle of an all black screen. I have tried to reset it manually and via iTunes (not responsive), linked it to iTunes (not recognized), etc. Nothing works. This happened after an iTunes updated, after I was asked to "restore" my iPad to factory settings.
Thanks, King_Penguin. Yes, I tryied putting the iPad into recovery mode. It freezes in the black screen with the iTunes and USB cable. When I followed the instructions and then started iTunes, I received the following message: "A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes (-424040)".
I have unistalled iTunes three times already and donloaded and installed three new versions. No luck.
Thanks a billion once again! -
IPad mini not recognized by itunes 10.6.1 (7)?
Why is new ipad mini not recognized by iTunes 10.6.1 (7)? Running OSX 10.5.8 software on the Mac. Software updates both report: "up to date"
Sorry, but you need iTunes 11 which requires OS 10.6 or higher and a Mac with an Intel processor. In other words, you need a newer Mac.

IPad OS7 not recognized by iTunes 11.1.5.5
I have switched to iOS7 on my iPad) and to 11.1.5.5 for iTunes on my PC (Windows 8).
iTunes and iPad work properly, however when connected to the PC my iPad is not recognized by iTunes anymore. The iPad is recognized by Wndows, i can see it as Apple iPad and not with the name of my Ipad. I have already reinstalled iTunes but still no connection.
Thanks for suggestions.Solution found: i removed all apple applications (config pannel + uninstall pgms) and reinstalled the old version of itunes again. Now the iPad was identified by Windows correctly as well as by iTunes. After that I reinstalled again iTunes 11.1.5.5 and everything is working well now.

Suddenly my ipad is not recognized in itunes ?
Suddenly my ipad is not recognized in itunes and claims to a need to be restored.
How do I solve this without loosing data on my ipad ?
I cannot communicate with my ipad anymore. It's indicating to be connected to itunes. If that is what the message on the screen is, you have no choice but to restore the iPad. If you don't have a backup, you will lose everything on the iPad. That's why you should always backup your important data and your camera roll photos.
You can read how to do it here. Pay attention to the last part of the article about using recovery mode. You might need to restore that way.

iPad is not recognized in iTunes. Just installed Mac OS X 10.6 and have a brand new iPad2. Tried all suggestions in the iPad manual without success.
Quit iTunes, restart your Mac and then restart the iPad and see if the iPad is recognized after that. If not, you can look through these articles.

Ive tried connecting to 3 other computers and used 2 other cords, but the itouch still isn't recognized by any of them. Pages for iPad is not recognizing the password I assigned to a document. I included a hint, and I know I am entering the password associated with the hint. Is there anything I can do to access my document? i quite the Pages app and restarted it. Now I guess I'll reset the iPad and see if that helps. Thanks!
Rhonda Fogel wrote:
Interesting that one does not need the password to delete using Finder.
The Pages password protects the contents of the document. If there were a Finder password, it would protect what you might think of as the "file wrapper" ... the stuff around the file content.
Glad it's not vital. I have to say I only pasword protect those Pages documents that are, in fact, vital.
Best of luck. -
