My iPad is not responding - I am getting a picture of a cord and the Itunes logo. I have tried to recover but Itunes tries to download new software but I cannot download software while it is in recovery mode. Help!!
What is the problem when all you get is a picture of a charging cord and the itunes logo? I tried hooking up to my computer and itunes and it said I could not download the new software while it was in recovery mode but it won't let me do anything else. Any ideas?
I hope you have a backup if you don't want to lose your iPad contents. You have to restore the iPad now using iTunes on your computer. That's what the message on the screen means.

I'm having trouble upgrading to ITunes v12.0.1 with

Thanks for your inputOne step listed in the link to "helpful" info, was (when Iooked 30 seconds ago), to search for and download the newest version of iTunes. I'm running iTunes on Win 7 machine and was prompted to update today, 10.22.2014, and did so without a problem. Having said that, however, it looks as though the latest iTunes (12.0.1.26) is finally doing what the last version refused to do, which is to actually fully populate all my playlists on my 6, but there is a hitch: 12.0.1.26 will NOT allow you to show the sidebar unless you click on "playlists," that is, you cannot keep it open all the time.
And, when plugging the 6 into the computer, the phone icon shows up but clicking on it does nada. What does work, for some strange reason, is clicking on the tiny icon (just under the "Store" menu link at top screen) which looks much like a tiny barrel, someone's idea of external drives, I suppose. The phone then comes up, with the list of stuff on the phone just under it where the sidebar used to be. Sync is now restricted to the lower right of the screen.
Apparently, you will also need to update your iPhone's software as well; some friends with the 4 and 4s, however, had troubles with them after upgrading. The message from Silicon Valley (I can see Apple from my backyard, ha ha) is apparently, "keep upgrading," folks, get rid of those old phones. -

My phone is only showing a USB cord and the itunes thing. On my computer under itunes its not letting me do any thing there is not a reset button or anything it just says my information about my phone, i cant even reset it.
Make sure that you can see this iTunes cord graphics before you connect it to your computer.
On the left sidebar of iTunes, under My Devices, you will see there your iPhone's name.
Click on that and on the screen that will appear, you will be able to see RESTORE. -
I couldn't sync my Ipod touch, and kept getting an error message. So, I did a restore. Now my touch is stuck on a screen showing a white usb cable and the ITunes logo, which I assume is telling me to connect my Ipod to the computer. But I did that (obviously) or I wouldn't have been able to do the restore in the first place! I tried starting over and held the power and home button until I got a message on ITunes that the device needed restoring - I went through the steps again and am right back at the same screen. Any ideas??
Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter.
Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. Be patient since it sometimes takes several of these attempts before you are successful.
If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the device in iTunes and choose "restore from backup". This assumes you have a backup. If you do not, you will have to download all your purchased iTunes content again. You do not have to pay for anything you already purchased.
If you still can't get it to work, you have done all you can and only Apple will be able to help. -

My iphone 4 will switch on and charge, but a lot of the time the screen is frozen (can't slide to switch on or answer calls) I have tried holding for 15secs to reboot but it doesn't clear the problem????
When you say "holding" is it both the sleep switch and the home button until the Apple Logo comes up? If it isn't then I would recomend doing that. If not, turn the phone off and then (while holding the home button) plug it in to iTunes, this will send the phone into recovery mode and will need to be restored from there. Note* this process does have the possibility of losing data if it is not backed up on the computer!!!

Please help me! I can't reset the phone with the correct date. For some reason at the bottom of my mail it says Updated 5/9/54 BE and the correct time. It also puts that same date with text messages.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

I've have done all of the tips Apple has suggested and have tried many times to restore it but it still won't work. IThe first time it went through the whole process and it seemed like it worked but it still showed the Screen that has a iPod power cord that has an arrow pointing to the iTunes thumbnail. And now i thought well maybe it is restored i just need to sync it to Itunes but no my computer said that i encountered a problem my iPod and that i need to restore it so I tried. And at the end of the first step, the Verifying Software step, it said that the device "iPod" could not be found, so Itried it again and again but it still came up with the same results so I'm screwed so if you can could you please help me i really need after a disabled iPod for about 2 to 3 months now. - Reboot the computer, try another USB port and try anohter cable.
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, cracked or broken plastic.
- Try placing the iPod in DFU mode and then restore.

I attached Ipad to my computer to sync. I received a message indicating there was a new version of the software. During the update, the Ipad crashed. The screen on the ipad is showing the iTunes icon and the USB cord. The ipad no longer shows up in my devices. Same here. And iTunes doesnt recognize the ipad anymore, even though it works fine with my iphone. Plugged the ipad into my other laptop, i get the recovery mode message, but nothing works.

After arround 2 hours today Windows shutdown the FF Download window to avoid my Computer being damaged by Virus and other security breaches.
If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
