My IPad is resetted after I downloaded IOS5 & ICloud
Hi,
I just downloaded the new IOS5 to my Ipad. After the process completed, I restarted my Ipad and answered the questions regarding Icloud. When the setting questions were over, the Ipad started to operate but all music files, mail, notes, applications, videos, photos were deleted/disappeared from my Ipad. So, it is like brand new empty now. The worse is that I can not connect it to my PC to syncronize with a cable. Because it is not working as well. How I can get my deleted / disappeared I pad features back?
Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing. You won't lose any data by doing this.

My Ipad automatically resets after 2 to 3 minutes of usage in any app
After working for 6 month without problems, my Ipad 4 resets itself automatically.

Lost Everything after I downloaded iOS5
I just downloaded iOS5 on my iphone 4 and lost EVERYTHING!! I lost ALL my contacts, my apps, calendar, messages, pictures...EVERYTHING!!! I have tried to restore and everything I can think of dont know what to do. Someone help please! I had everything in my phone. I dont even know my doctors phone numbers or any appointments. I have NOTHING!!! how can I get back to before I updated?
If you contacts are limited to a group e-mail the following will restore to the all contact list:
Go to:
settings / mail, contacts, calanders /
Go into each mail account in to Contacts & make sure contacts option is OFF
by switching off the contacts in the mail accounts you original contacts list should be restored. -
some of the album art for the songs i recently downloaded from itunes is there, but almost everything i've downloaded from itunes in the past has no album art. how do i get it back?
Another thing to try: uncheck the "Sync Music" checkbox in your iPod pane in iTunes, sync and allow iTunes to remove the tracks, then rechec the "Sync Music" checkbox and resync. That fixed the problem with missing and incorrect album artwork on my iPad with iOS 5.

Restore from the backup you make of your computer because you have such valuable things on it. I ripped my vinyl 15 years ago and the first thing I did was buy backup drives and kept them in a separate part of the house.

Photos locked after i download from Icloud.
When i download my photos to my PC from the icloud they are locked with a little lock symbol and it wont let me change them or save them. Is there a way that they wont be locked.

Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from. -
I am trying to update to iOS5 on my iPad 2, but after the download completes, and file processing starts, I get an error message "There was a problem downloading the software ... the network connection timed out." Diagnostic tests check out OK. Any suggestions?
Temporarily disable your firewall and security software and see if that helps.

New iPad air. books not downloading from iCloud
I had quite a few books on Ipad 2. Just bought ipad air and after clicking backup from icloud only a few of my books are readable. When I click on them it says formatted incorrectly or is not a format that ibooks can open. Any ideas anyone?
Reset your WiFi router and/or cable modem. Unplug it/them from power for about 30 seconds and then plug them in again. The I would restart the iPad and try again.

I have an Apple ID that I established when he got his iPod to use in the iTunes store.
After I downloaded the iCloud app onto my laptop and opened it, it asked for my Apple ID and password. I enntered the one I had created for the iPod/iTunes.
I get a message saying that it is a valid Apple ID but is not an iCloud account. How do I get that set up? I don't see any prompt anywhere to set up an iCloud account,

After upgrading to iOS5 & everything was restored,I couldn't find the downloaded movies I had before.I kept on syncing it with iTunes.I can see videos are taking up space on my Ipad 2 memory in the iTunes page but it doesn't appear,only songs appear on the Music.thank you in advance for your assistance..
They are now in the videos app!

The sound in my IPad is not working after I downloaded the new iOS 7. I tried to reset the IPad to no avail. Could anyone be so kind to help me?
I"m going to make the presumption that you've checked the volume and that you don't have it muted. One thing some have suggested is to go into the settings and reset all settings.
It is kind of a drag because you wil have to retweak everything but it's helped for some. -
I downloaded iOS5 and went through the syncing process. Within iTunes on my computer my iPad is showing as having the music and videos 'on board' (the colour bar is even showing the content is on my iPad.
But when I look in Music, it shows as 'No Music'.
Any help appreciated.

i downloaded ios5 to my ipad. Initially had problem with apps which was fixed by downloading an upgrade and they all staarted working. But everything is so slow it is almost useless. i have tried rebooting, it didn't help.
Other users have reported this very same issue after updating their iPads. You are using the original iPad according to your profile and those devices seem to be the more adversely affected devices. You can try the basic things and see if any of this helps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If none of those things help, you can always try restoring your iPad. I have restored mine with some success, but I still have issues that I hope will be resolved soon.
An update to the iOS has been announced and it is in Beta now. Hopefully it will be released to all users soon. -
I am getting this error message after upgrading to iOS5: "iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPad "ray's iPad" because the apps installed on the iPad could not be determined."
I wiped it out and restored from backup but I am still getting the same message.I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and that fixed it. Here are the specific instructions that I was given.

1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

Hi, every time i try downloading ios5 it reaches 100% and then the connection times out and nothing happens after that; though the internet connection is fine as i can access other sites etc. what could be the problem?i tried using 2 different modems.
