  • HT4623 My ipad has a constant apple logo on it and will not turn on?

My ipad will not come on...It has a constant apple logo on it.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Try restoring. Make sure you have a backup first.

  • When you turn on the ipad2 it does not start up properly.  The rotating disk that happens when you turn off the ipad appears after the apple logo comes up

When you turn on the ipad2 it does not start up properly.  The rotating disk that happens when you turn off the ipad appears after the apple logo comes up during start-up and stays there for ten minutes.  Then, the ipad will start up properly.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Nah - that's just the normal boot process.

My iPad is locked on Apple logo. Already made a restore still have only Apple logo. Any ideas?

Try a Restore but force the iPad into Recovery Mode first.
Doing that involves restarting the iPad, holding the Home Button, and connecting it to iTunes.  Holding the Home Button is the trick.  Here's an article explaining how to do it.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
If Force Restarting and Force Restoring doesn't work, it may be time to look up warranty information.
    Good Luck.

  • I was trying to update my Ipad to IOS 8, the screen is all black with the apple logo on it and the progress bar is stuck,

I was trying to update my Ipad to IOS 8, the screen is all black with the apple logo on it and the progress bar is stuck.
I can't turn it off, and when i connect it to itunes, it doesn't display

Try putting the iPad in restore mode and see if iTunes recognizes it. The steps are below:
    Turn your iPad off.
Hold down the Home button and plug it into your computer. Keep holding the Home button until you see a screen telling you to connect to iTunes.
iTunes should show you a popup saying that there is an iPad that is in Recovery Mode and needs to be restored before you can use it. Click OK.
    Click on Restore iPad

  • IPad 2 Stuck at Apple Logo (Recovery Mode)

We have a few people at work that we have purchased iPads for about 2 years ago. One user's iPad is not working any longer and is stuck on a black screen with the apple logo. He claims he did do the latest update on the iPad  a few days ago but it had been working fine. He noticed the charge was getting low so he plug it in at his desk to leave it alone and let it charge. He left it charged for about 2 hours and when he goes to use it it is stuck on the apple logo/black screen and can not do anything. I come to look at it and try holding the wake/sleep top button to see if i can get it to shutdown, the apple logo will go away but it is just a black screen, and if i press the home button it shows the apple logo again. if i hold down wake/sleep and home button at the same time it will show to connect to itunes. So on a computer with itunes i connect it while holding the buttons down but nothing would ever show in itunes. I tried on another pc with itunes and did the same thing this time it showed on itunes that it was in recovery mode and to select restore, it shows itunes is restoring software and shows the apple logo with a progress bar and it finishes, then progress bar shows again and then seems to finish again. It just keeps showing the apple logo and wont do anything. The first time i used recovery mode and tried to restore the factory defaults it showed like it finished but then showed the battery logo like the battery was almost dead but it had been charging a while before i unplugged it. I left it charged over night but still just shows apple logo and after about a minute the apple logo will go away and it will be just a black screen but the apple logo keeps showing. I also tested the charger for the ipad2 and it works fine on another ipad so there is no issue with the charger. Is there anything else i can try or will i just have to call apple?

I'm having the same problem , exact same !
Please reply anyone . I'm tired of restoring the iPad againg & again !
Please as soon as possible .

  • My ipad froze on the apple logo screen after installing ios8  what do i dd?

my ipad froze in the apple logo restart screen when I tried to install ios8.  it wont do anything.  please help!

Try a reset.  Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Iphone5 struck on apple logo and then moves to a red screen...

My iphone's display was broken and i got it changed today..After switching it on,it is struck on Apple logo and when i tried to hard reset it,still i gets struck on the logo..Later i entered the DFU mode but it gives me an error..So i have no way to get it switched on..I cannot go to an apple store as i got the screen changed from outside and i think it might have ended my warranty...

No idea. But that error code is frequently associated with jailbroken phones. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694#error1611 for other possibilities.

I really can't tell from your post but did you try rebooting the iPad?

  • My ipad just appeared the apple logo

My ipad just appeared the apple logo when power on and repeated again and again. I can not restore using itunes, what can i do now?
    My ipad is on 4.3.5

I suppose, if you had no data on it, you could try the procedure for putting it in recovery mode and seeing if it would work subsequent to that...I'd run through the troublsehooting things in "cant connect to iTunes"
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1538 ( be sure your not using USB hub)
and then if that doesn't work, and you aren't worried about data
    http://osxdaily.com/2011/01/16/forgot-iphone-passcode-how-to-reset/
if those don't work, a trip to the Apple store would be in order...

  • Ipad3 stuck on Apple logo during update

After verifying the update, my iPad3 is stuck on the Apple logo. It's been 20 minutes so far and nothing is happening. Does anyone have an idea as to what I can do now? Thanks.

That's yet another reason why I prefer to update the iOS thru iTunes on a computer. You get a much more detailed ongoing progress report than the friggin progress bar.
Anyway, once iTunes has "released" the device (popup saying that the device will restart and that iTunes will reconnect afterwards) and waiting a reasonable time of 10-15 min, if the iGadget is still in 'limbo' I've had to Force Restart it. No harm done and the device does get updated as expected. Had to do that in most of the iOS 7 and the initial iOS 8 updates, the last two up to 8.3 finally concluded on their own accord. And another thing: iTunes LIES. The device NEVER reconnects, you have to unplug and replug the cable once it restarts for iTunes to pick it up again. But still, all is peachy afterwards. This happened both with my iPhone 5 and the iPad 4, the iPhone 6+ hasn't dared misbehave yet.
Force-Restart: hold down Home and Sleep simultaneously until screen goes black and a white Apple logo appears, release and let it finish restarting.

  • HT4623 Itunes is restoring the software on this Ipad. But nothing done. Always "Waiting for Ipad". On Ipad, only is there Apple logo.

Itunes is restoring the software on this Ipad.
    But nothing done.
    Always "Waiting for Ipad".
On my Ipad, only is there Apple logo.
    What do I do now?

How long has it been displaying the Apple logo? Does it have a progress bar underneath?
If you feel like it's been that way for too long, try putting the iPad in Recovery Mode:
Leave it plugged into the computer. Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears. At that point, release the power button but continue holding the home button until iTunes on your computer says "iTunes has detected a device in Recovery Mode." Then click "Restore" in iTunes.
