Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Without knowing precisely what the issue is with the device, there is no way to tell if apple would replace it or not. You would need to take it in to have it checked. Based on the limited information provided, probably not. It does not sound like a hardware issue.

Of course, they will not replace the phone for you but they will repair it if you pay for it.
The warranty does not apply on cracked screens, caused by the user.

Hello this is happening to us also (minus the Bluetooth speaker). We can't figure out what is causing the data usage. I turned off mobile data as soon s I activated the device, and got the message that unless I am connected to WiFi.....(that is exactly what I wanted). We watched Netflix for about three hours, then the alerts started. Like you we have many devices connected and never used over 2GB now all of a sudden we have used it in a matter of hours. My husband called Verizon and got the usual doubting Thomas response. I understand that they don't know my device settings. So over the phone we check all the settings and turned off every possible culprit eating up the data and end the call. By now I have purchased another gig for the month! Assured we are NOT using mobile data, we continue on the IE path to bliss. HA! A few hours later I check the mobile data usage on the Verizon website and that darn thing is still using data. After two more phone calls and two VERY uneventful trips to the local store we were told to take out the sim card. This has stopped the data usage, but it defeats the purpose of having the data plan. I could have just stuck with my Surface. Verizon sent us a new sim card. Its been installed and I have set my homepage to Verizon mobile data usage (just kidding) but I am on that site a lot. I am surprised at the number of complaints about this device. When we called the Verizon support acted as though this was the first time they had heard about this. I'm experiencing what is I believe to be the same issue with my iPhone 4, and have been suffering in silence for about a week.
iPhone 4 model MC603X with Modem Firmware 04.10.01, 16Gb, cheap silicone cover, Vodafone NZ as my carrier.
My screen locks after 1 minute of inactivity as it should with my settings. Perhaps 1 call in 5, or 1 call in 10, the screen wakes up and displays called ID information etc correctly, but I cannot swipe to answer the call. The touch screen simply fails to respond.
If I push the power button briefly to silence the ringtone, this does not make a difference. The iPhone has to be locked (and screen turned off), then push a hardware button to wake up the display, and then I can swipe to unlock the device.
This is only since iOS 4.3 and unfortunately iOS 4.3.1 has not changed this behaviour.
Any advice appreciated.

The iPhone warranty is not international and as you purchased in
Malaysia the warranty is only valid in Malaysia
You could try taking to an iPhone Authorised service provider
in India but there have been many similar posts to yours
and I am not aware of them assisting with an iPhone from

If the iPhone came from the US, then that is the only place where Apple will service it. If you can't take it there yourself, you would need to send the iPhone to someone you know in the US who could get it serviced and then send it back to you.
Your only other option will be to find some unauthorized cellphone repair shop to attempt a repair, after which all further support from Apple, in the US or anywhere else, will no longer be available to you.

Did you purchase it at an Apple Store? If so, then you should be able ot have them look up the receipt in their system. If you purchased it at another store, check their policies. IIRC, Best Buy allows you to exchange items without a reciept, but they won't refund without one. Other stores may have other policies.

Send it back. That's the activation lock and it's a theft deterrant program. If the seller can't or won't give you that apple ID to unlock it, then you'll never be able to use it (and it's a very real possibility that the ipad wasn't theirs to sell in the first place)
