Open your Preference window & click on Universal Access. Make sure Voice Over is turned Off. You may have turned it On by depressing the Command+F5 keys.

  • Voice over always on - How can I shut if off?

somehow, voiceover has decided to turn itself, and I can't shut it off....
Disabling voice over in the universal access system preference does not shut it off.
Deleting the user's universal access preference plist as well as voice over's preference plist does not shut it off
Rebooting does not shut it off.
Zapping the PRAM does not shut it off.
How do I stop voiceover from activating itself? It's driving me nuts!
    Thanks in advance

command f5 only works until I log in/out or reboot...
When the computer boots up, it does not automatically log in. So, at the the login window on a fresh reboot, voice over has activated itself. Command f5 will shut it off, and when I log into either user account (there are 2 accounts on the machine) voice over is not active. However, as soon as I log out and return to the log in screen, voice over has re-activated itself.
If I reboot from an account (when voice over is not active), then it will be active after the computer boots and while it waits at the login screen...
    Thanks!

  • I added 3G iPad & keeping wifi only-how do I sync both on same iTunes acct?

I've had my wifi iPad for months and love it, but travel a lot so I bought the 3G version. I'm keeping my wifi iPad for the fam, at least until I sell it.
When I connect the new iPad to the computer, it recognizes it as new and asks if I want to sync with the latest back-up of "Dani's iPad" (name of my older one), or set up as new?
I obviously want everything on my wifi version to transfer and be available on my 3G version - how do I do this without erasing anything?
I'm nervous because I have an iPod touch and when I connected my first iPad initially, it completely changed my iTunes library, actually erasing several playlists and such. I definitely don't want that to happen again!
    Thanks for your help!

Just say yes to syncing to the backup of you original iPad. I do not understand what you did with your iTouch.
I just synced my new iTouch with the backup of my iPad. Everything synced fine except, as expected, with the iPad only apps. or the iPad-only apps I got a message which said they were not compatible and would not be synced.

  • HT204492 When I use remote, it talks to me in a quick voice with number of button choices, then tells me the number, ect.  Very annoying.  She talks so fast as well.  How can I shut that off or make her talk slowly, or not at all.

When I use mt Appew TV remote it talks to me, in fast voice, telling me where I am, number of choices, etc.  It is annoying and I can't find a way to just have screen on tv and then access whatever without this fast talking voice.

Turn off Voice Over in the Accessibility section of AppleTV Settings.

  • How can I keep an iPod 1st Generation from shutting completely off when I leave it for more than 1 minute?

Well, my friend and I just received this 1st generation iPod Touch from a man at our church. He said we could sell it. However, it has some problems. For example, when I leave it alone, it cuts off completely, Then, I have to hold the home and power button for about ten seconds so the Apple symbol will come on the screen and I then know that it is coming on. Can someone help me with the problem?

You should connect it to a computer running iTunes, and do a Restore.
