My ipad keeps using my old email account for I cloud, even though the emal account was canceled two years ago. How do I change the account number which pops up on my ipad?

When I got my ipad, i was still using an old isp, but i changed isp when we moved. When i attempt to use cloud features, i get prompted for the password for the old email account which I turned off 2 years ago, What should I do?

Hi vegasbob,
You need to do the following:
1.     Go to Manage Your Apple ID https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
2.     Sign on with your current Apple ID and password
3.     Change your Apple ID to the old email address, but do not verify it - Save Changes
4.     Go to Setting>iCloud on your iPad, and scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on Delete Account
5.     It will ask you for your password to turn off Find My iPhone, type in your current password
6.     Delete iCloud account
7.     Go back to Manage Your Apple ID and sign in with the changed ID and current password
8.     Change your Apple ID back to your current ID - Save Changes
9.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with your current Apple ID
You should be all set.

Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now, sign back in with your new ID.

I have a Power Mac 5 WITHOUT an intel processer/ I have updated my computer to snow lepord which is as far as I can go.
I think you updated to Leopard/10.5.x, Snow Leopard/10.6 is Intel only.
Actually you're in luck, you can still use iCloud for eMail on PPC using 10.4.11 or 10.5.8, but it must be IMAP, not POP...
iCloud Mail setup...
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:

Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

One secret I think is when setting it up don't choose the .me/.mac type, it'll auto fill in .mac as the server which won't work, go back afterwards & change the servers.

Thunderbird keeps querying an old email account that has been deleted and is not listed in tools/account settingss

Personally I would double these amounts and add to that the diskspace needed for your Windows games.

I changed my rescue ID and want to use my former rescue ID as my new apple ID, but it won't let me as it still says that email is my resuce ID, even though the new rescue ID email has been verified! Help!

My apple ID is associated with an old email I never use. My current email was set as my rescue email, so I could not make that my new Apple ID.
