My ipad mini gets 100 % charged but the plug in icon doesnt always comes out. Please help me. The icon is always the lightning bolt even though its 100 % charged already. Why?
PLease I need help. My ipad mini wont fully charge. It says 100 % charged but its still shows the lightning bolt
The plug icon will show as long as the device is connected to a power source. Yes, 100% = complete, at least where I was taught math. Your fears about destroying the battery are unfounded. You can leave the device plugged in even after it's fully charged. It will stop charging.
Best of luck.

My ipod was stolen and i want to get it back but it says i cant track it can someone please help me
please help me
Find my iPod Touch (iOS 4.2.1 and greater) - http://images.apple.com/ipodtouch/built-in-apps/find-my-ipodtouch.html - has to be enabled before device is lost. It also requires the device be on and connected to registered WiFi network, and not having been restored by the finder (if it was really stolen then the thief has probably restored it). If you have activated the "Find My" feature, go to https://www.icloud.com or use the Find My iPhone app - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/find-my-iphone/id376101648?mt=8
Setting up iCloud (requires iOS5) - http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html - includes activating the 'Find My' feature.
Frankly in the case of a stolen iPod this almost never works. Report it to the police. Change passwords on accounts. Go shopping for a new iPod. -
As above, or would it be better to do a 'reset' of all settings from within the settings of the ipad itself, separate from an itunes back up or sync?
This is the way that I would do it.
If you backed up the iPad to iTunes on your computer and there is content that you want to keep - you can restore from that backup - but wipe the iPad on the device itself.
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That will totally remove all content from the iPad and it can be set up as brand new again.
But bear in mind that any content that is on the iPad now - that your employer paid for or purchased with the company's Apple ID cannot be put on your new iPad without you continuing to use that Apple ID. So if you are going to use another Apple ID on the iPad, you will not be able to update those apps. If the content on the iPad was purchased with your ID and it belongs to you, then you are good to go. -
I can't get the volume loud enough, despite setting all controls for maximum volume.
I'm using Windows XP, and a high-end computer/monitor/speaker. I'm using Firefox 4.0.1
I figure you guys are all young, and your hearing is still good, so you don't understand us older folks.Got the same problem. It seems it is happening all over the place with the i-tunes update.

You would think that having downloaded an image and displayed it on the screen, Firefox would be able to save the image to disk (using right-click, "Save image as...") without need of downloading it all over again. But that's exactly what it does after just a few image saves.
This can be both expensive and time consuming when I happen to be working via a mobile or dial-up connection, which is often.
Any ideas? As an addendum, the 10.6.8 OS has also been sluggish when I log in or out of my computer (my old PowerBook G4 boots faster after being off). Otherwise, everything else seems normal.

Can i access the numpad again even though my iphone is disabled?
Hi everyone!
I have an iphone 3gs that i haven't used in a while and it says "iphone is disabled. Connect to iTunes". My mom had tried to unlock it multiple times and got it to this point. I know the password, is there any way i can access the numpad again because i do not want to restore it.
& when i connect it to itunes, it doenst do anyhting but say that my computer cant access it due to it being locked.
& since its been a while, i do not have my original computer i set it up with as it had a motherboard failure about 4 months ago.
& No, this is not a stolen iphone as i know the password, and i do have all the original packaging (just throwing this out there)
In short:
can i access the numpad again even though its disabled?
Thanks!
Jordan

My ipad mini is not connecting to the wifi network. I have the correct network and password chosen, but the message I get is that "unable to join". I have reset my ipad and it still says the same thing. What can I do about this?
Hey Dr kris,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are having issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks with your iPad mini. The following troubleshooting assistant may lead to a resolution:
Apple - Support - iPhone - Join a network Assistant

My battery on my iPad mini isn't charging, the charging sign is on, but the battery just keeps going down.
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Since you did not say how long the battery lasts I am nut sure the battery is the problem. -
I dropped my iPad mini on the floor, but it was not at all a big drop and landed firmly but the lightning cable inside my iPad cracked and from now on I have been using my sisters iPad charger(the same as old one) and now it take 4 hours to charge 8% HELP!!
It sounds like the drop damage more then just the lightning adapter.
I suggest you take it to Apple and ask them to check it out for you.

My ipad mini didn't charge last nite and this morning it has a pic of the charger pointing to the itunes symbol? I tried to restore it on itunes but it would not restore it. HELP
Your iPad is in Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times. -
My iPad mini won't charge at all. I got it for Christmas off my dad and it is still in brand new condition. Until the other day it has been working fine but until yesterday or the day before my charger went all funny. In order to charge my iPad mini you had to put the charger in an exact place and if someone so much as touched it it would stop charging because it wasn't in its exact position. But today I tried to charge it again and I tried getting it in the same spot as yesterday but it is not working at all. I have only ever charged my iPad mini in the wall but I have seen posts about people charging it in the USB in an computer. So I thought I would also try that but that hasn't worked either and now my iPad mini won't charge in a plug or USB and I live really far away from an apple store and I can't get a new charger also because I live far away from the store. So what shall I do?
When and where was the iPad/charger purchased? It's covered by a 1-year warranty.
The problem may be the USB cable.
Cheers, Tom -
My iPad mini charger works but my iPad mini refuses to charge. What do I do?
My iPad mini charger works but my iPad mini refuses to charge. What do I do?
Try a different cable
Try to clean out the 30-pin/Lightning port on the device using a clean toothbrush (or similar) & blow it out. There may be dust/lint preventing proper electrical connection. The older 30-pin port is much more prone to dust & lint getting inside and it's internal conductors are very small. Clean the port out thoroughly and also the 30-pin connector on the cable.
Don't charge using the USB ports on the PC. Most PC's USB ports do not supply enough current to properly charge your device. A USB port (or the iPhone's charger) supplies 5 watts of charging current. The iPad Air's charger supplies 12 watts of charging current. Trying to charge your iPad with your PC's USB ports or the iPhone's 5 watt charger is like trying to fill a water bucket (iPad's battery) with a little toy squirt gun (PC's USB ports or iPhone 5 watt charger).
Instead, use the charger that came with the device and the cable that came with the device. -
I want to change my16giga byte ipad mini with retina display to the 32giga one because i think its capacity is insufficient. So could i change to 32giga by giving an extra charge. I bought 16giga ipad mini on thanksgivingday, maybe 30. November
If bought directly from an Apple Retail store or Apple Online store, and is still within the 14 day return period Apple Offers you can take it back and get a full refund which you can then use towards buying the other version.
If its already past the 14 day period then you won't be able to return it for a refund no.
If you did not buy it from an Apple Retail store or Apple Online Store you will have to consult with the store you bought it from about their return policies.
