My ipad mini is a little bent?

Recently I observed that my iPad mini is a little curved at the left back side. Now this curve is so small that you cannot see it easily, unless u hold it at an angle or keep it on a flat surface.
I am really worried about this because I have never dropped my iPad . So is this normal or a manufacture defect. Because I haven't really noticed the bend until now . What should

If it was normal I doubt you'd be asking about it.

  • IPad mini(Retina) charges a little weird?

So I think that my USB cord is fine, but sometimes when I plug it in to my iPad it does nothing. But when I pull everything completely out of the outlet and put it back in it starts to charge until I disconnect the cord from my iPad and reconnect it and then it'll stop charging even when I mess with it. Also, it seems to be a little slow charging from 98% to 100%. Thanks for help!!

Actually you can use the ipad mini as a phone and it actually makes the best and cheapest phone to have, and you aren't held down to a phone plan. And you can have a dedicated phone number to make and receive calls. At times people aren't aware of all it can do. But thats why there's people like me
    Here are the steps
    1.  Get a cellular equiped IPAD. It will be data only ofcourse.
    2.  Get a google voice account. ( you will be assigned a phone number)
    3.  Download Talkatone
    4.  After setting up Talkatone with your google voice number, You'll be able to make and receive calls and text and it will be your primary phone.
Cost every month. Just the cost of your data plan. Cheapest phone ever. 30 bucks a month.
As I said, you can use an iPad with VOIP services - no one ever said you could not use it as a Phone.  You can use just about any internet enabled device with VOIP as long as there is software for that device.
You cannot use the phone number assigned to your iPad data plan as a phone number however.

  • Why you sent very little q'ty iPad mini to Thailand market.?

Why you sent very little q'ty iPad mini to Thailand market.? It have many people in Thailand interested iPad mini in Thailand but Can't buy it for reseller or operators .  Are you know have many people angry when went to the reseller to buy iPad mini . Your reseller company said that have iPad mini  but you can't buy it .they was booking by some people . Some branch have some people see a person to take ipad mini 5-6 pcs. That talking in www.pantip.com it don't fare for customers it may be MBK retail shops to take them form every your reseller and operaters branches , in every time when have the your new interested products such as 1st lot iPhone 4S , 1st-2 nd lot iPhone 5 had come to Thailand .
I think this problem come from Don't have Apple store in Thailand to control supply goods per peson in product 1 st lot .I would like to tell you  If you come to Thailand now ! You can see many Thai people use iPhone around you when you walk in the streets  . You can't count sell q'ty form your reseller or operater because in the first product(iPhone ,iPad ) opening period MBK. retail shops import many q'ty iPhone ,iPad  by themselves from USA ,Hongkong in many year . And then when your reseller and operaters 1 st-2nd product caming the retail shops took the 1st product lot from your reseller everytime . The retail shop added price in the first product opening period. It don't fare for Thai customer.
I don't so good in English but I need to explain you.

Your post is a hoax.  There are plenty of iPad Minis in Bangkok.  The vast majority of the vendors in MBK are not authorized dealers, and are forced to purchase black and gray market goods for end users.  If you want an iPad Mini, go to the nearest iStudio, located in the Digital Domain - just down Rama I, across the street for the Siam Paragon shopping center.

  • I have an ipad mini having a main board over charge issue.  It's a little over a year old.

I purchase an iPad mini a little over a year ago. Recently, it seems to over heat to the right of the home button, then the screen goes darker.  I turn off, it cools down, turn it on and everything is normal. Unfortunately it's happening more often and the screen darkens when it's hardly even warm, let alone hot.  So apparently it's getting worse. This started a little over a week ago

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

I Have a ipad mini i bought my dad as a gift and he let my little brother play on it frequently (9 years old) and one day he dropped it in its case, it seemed fine till a hairline crack in the corner began to swim across the screen. It's still within the one year warranty i checked online but im not sure what apple will do for me or can do for me? Can it be replaced?

It will cost you approximately US$219.00.
Apple will replace the entire iPad; they don't repair.

Found and iPad mini in a parking lot; would love to return it to the owner. I called the local police; they said there was very little they could do. suggestions?

Leave it turned on, and (if possible) connected to the Internet. The owner may try to find it using Find my iPad.
Also, make a note of the serial number off the back, then advertise it as found, and make sure anyone claiming it can tell you the correct serial number.

  • Is there a kickstand for iPad mini?  I don't want a case - just an adjustable, attachable kickstand.

I'm searching everywhere I can think of, but cannot find an attachable, adjustable kickstand for my iPad mini Retina, unless it comes as part of a case.  And I definitely do not want a case.  Has anyone found one?

    Hi John,
I have something similar to what you referenced for home use.  I'm hoping to find instead a small attachment for the upper-midback of the mini that would allow me to look at it at any comfortable reading angle while I'm using it at work.  I keep it in my labcoat pocket with a Logitech thin keyboard, which can only hold the mini up at one angle - and that angle is too upright.  I've tried other keyboards including the Zagg and the ClamCase; each has other unacceptable deficiencies.  The Zagg only bends back a little further, and its clamp makes it impossible to touch the bottom of the mini's screen.  The ClamCase is too big and heavy, and maldistributres its weight inasmuch as it allows the mini to tip over backwards when it's bent back to a comfortable reading angle (they instead should have weighted it more toward the front, wrist-rest area to prevent tipping over backwards).
Please let me know if you find such a kickstand.  Thanks!

My Ipad mini does not see my printer. my wife's ipad2 does. We both use IOS8 and upgraded at the same time. How can I remedy this?

    OK great info!
I found 2 possible ethernet to USB adapters:
By "Plugable":  USB 2.0 to ethernet LAN wired network adapter - seems this will work, but I'll contact Plugable.
    2. Apple USB Ethernet Adapter
Easily connect your MacBook Air computer to an Ethernet network with the Apple USB Ethernet Adapter. Small and light, it connects to the USB 2.0 port of your MacBook Air and provides an RJ-45 connector that supports 10/100BASE-T performance.  BUT NOT SURE IF THIS WILL WORK ON ANYTHING BUT a MacBook Air…
    One person commented:
This little gem used to be the device of choice for adding a second Ethernet interface to a Mac Mini Server and I'd been using one that way for about a year. After doing a software update to 10.6.6 it stopped working. Forewarned is forearmed – it appears that Apple is finally enforcing the MacBook Air system requirement.
    Thanks for any additional comments.

In my iPad mini if I use earphones I can hear from only one side  but the earphones work fine with other devices

Have you tried different headphones in your iPad mini?
Check in Settings > General > Accessibility if little slider half way down isn't moved to either side towards "L" or "R".
If it isn't , try to reboot the device, but it's likely that your audio port isn't working correctly. If so, it should definitely be covered by warranty.

Saw this solution on another post about an iPad in a school environment. Might work on your iPad so you won't lose everything.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Try it and good luck. You have nothing more to lose if it doesn't work for you.
