My IPad mini is currently experiencing some sound distortion, how can I resolve this problem

Have you tried rebooting the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I solved for my ipad mini retina:
- Go to Settings->General
- Change the function of the slider on the side of the ipad from 'rotation lock' to 'sound off'
- Wiggle the slider up and down
- Sound is restored
- You can set the slider back to rotation lock again

The sounds work when I test them in settings, but when the event pops up on the screen to remind me, there is no sound! Help! I tried to restore already but still I can't connect the headphone to my ipad mini, but in the other device the headphone is working properly...

is the connector inserted as far as possible?
Is there anything blocking it from being inserted far enough?

The switch next to your volume.... Flip it so you do not see the red.
My guess is that your general settings ... Side switch is set on mute... And so the switch above the volume is showing red which means your sounds are muted for certain applications.

IDK what caused it & I definitely wasn't looking fwd to Another trip to the Apple Store!!!
Funny thing is I had already turned the iPad off to remove the case & clean it when I posted this,
I hadn't even checked the sound again. I posted the question when seeing the email on
my phone played sound on the iPad & ..... Of course it was fine LOL!!!

［keynote] update iPad mini ios7 then video with no sound

Have no idea, video sound was working on keynote previously iOS
But after upgrading to ios7, some video in keynote play with no sound and some with sound in the same file.
I already reboot my iPad mini, re-save and re-import my keynote file, check the mute function
And I also restore to the previous backup.
Now the videos in keynote file are still with the problem of no sound.

My keynote file include over 150 pages and most of the pages play with video file.
The file size is about 4GB.
Anyway I solve the problem by re-converting the video files.
Following is my solution :
1. Download the iFun box application and install in the Mac which I want to sync with my iPad
2. Open the app when iPad sync with the computer
3. Find the keynote file in keynote app.
4. And also I can find the resource files ( pictures and videos separately ) which I use in the keynote file.
5. Copy the video files to Mac
6. Use file convert application (such as Qtime) and re-save the .mov files as .mov files again.
7. Copy the re-convert files to the original directory to keynote app via iFun box.
8. Then play the keynote file in iPad mini now with sound ok.

I bought an ipad mini and was recovering from my Ipad 2 from icloud

However, my new mini has been stuck on "This iPad is currently being restored and will automatically back up when it is done.
What is going on with it? How do I back it up so I can delete my old iPad 2 information to sell it?

Sound Distortion AP 11 and 12.

I'm experiencing sound distortion and weak signal after AP upgraded to 11. I downloaded 12 and I still have the problem. Windows 7.

AP? You mean Flash Player?
12 is a beta, so it's not a good idea to use that to remedy playback problems as it's a test product.
Are you experiencing audio issues elsewhere? Windows Media Player, iTunes, Quick Time or VLC for instance?

It sounds like you have tapped the "Folder" icon. This allows you to move emails from one folder to another. Cancel out of there and turn the iPad to Landscape orientation to see all available mailboxes. Or while in the Portrait orientation tap the "Mailboxes" icon in the top left corner.

Found it myself.
Restore settings + restart device fixes the problem.

If it's under warranty and you haven't dropped it then it sounds like it could be defective. You could make an appointment at your closest Apple store or you can call Apple Support.
