MMy iPad mini keeps freezing up on me. Is there something wrong with the iPad? It freez a lot when I'm playing the big fish casino game. What can be done to fix this?

Start with these steps, but there are additional things to do if these do not resolve the issue:
Follow the steps below and test the app after each step.Restart the app
Close the app and open it again.Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
Update your apps:
Open the App Store and tap Updates.
If updates are available, tap Update All.
If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.

anyone can help ? pleasee ;(This is a totally absurd suggestion, except that it worked for me with my iPad. Forget the network, then when asked for the password, enter a wrong one. Try again and enter the correct password. Good luck.

Installs fine for me, so I'd guess you got an incomplete or corrupt download. See the Further Information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct links and download a fresh copy of the installer.

Theres something wrong with my ipad lock and keypad click sound
If i turn my ipad off, then back on again, theres a problem with the sound of the keyboard and lock clicks
When you lose keyboard clicks and the lock sounds, those are system sounds and they can be controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

However, if the problem is intermittent, I would first try resetting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen, then let go of the buttons. That might cure the problem.
If it doesn't, then I would try resetting all settings. No data will be lost, but you will he to enter all of the device preferences and settings again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. -
Is there something wrong with the IOS 6 update?
Ever since I downloaded the iTunes IOS 6 update on my 2nd-gen iPad, I haven't been able to check my list of purchased apps in the purchased section the iTunes store app. I tried logging out & signing back in and I tried rebooting my iPad, but neither of them worked. Can you please fix the IOS update? Thanks if you and keep up the incredible work!
Never mind, there's definitely something wrong with the IOS 6 update. Sometimes the App Store doesn't show that an app has been purchased & it only shows the price of the app. Other times, it doesn't show that an app is currently being downloaded or that it's installed.
Still though, Apple, you really do need to fix this IOS 6 because the Purchased Apps section won't finish loading & display the ones that have been purchased. Also, you need to improve the App & iTunes gift card payment method because if you use a credit card & then switch back to gift card, it doesn't remember how much leftover money you had before & you can't combine the change from the previously-used ones together into one lump of money.
32 cents isn't enough to buy anything, not even a $0.99 app. The money is going by without being used and its a waste of money! If it's possible, please fix these two problems. Thanks if you do & keep up the incredible work!!!!! -
I Went to use find my iPhone on my iPad last night To find my phone And on the map it said my iPad that I was using was in minianapolis. I live in utah and I am definitely not in minianapolis And neither is my iPad. Is there a problem with my iPad? Also, I am having trouble searching anything on the internet. I have a full signal but, it takes so long for it to load anything that it comes up with a message that the server timed out and to try again. I'm not sure what to do. I have tried turning my iPad off and back on. I have tried closing all apps, I have deleted some of my apps and all my emails to free up some of the memory. Any other suggestion would be appreciated. thanks
Wifi-only iPads rely on getting their location from the router that they are connected to being in Apple's database (and being correct in that database) - only cellular iPads have a built-in GPS chip.
For Safari (are other apps that access the internet ok ?), see if the following help
- clear Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
- close Safari via the iPad's taskbar : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Safari app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
- soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
My home wifi has been disconnected from my iPod touch once again. It happened once yesterday morning and again this morning. After reattempting to connect again and again to the internet yesterday, it finally worked. But now I have the same problem.
I mean, my laptop has no internet connection issues whatsoever. So, I know it's not my internet's fault. And my iPod is practically brand new as well, so I'm assuming there's nothing wrong with it. Therefore, I'm not intending to bring it into the Apple store to have it checked out.
My last guess is that maybe it's some kind of glitch with the latest update? Are any other iPod touch 5g users who are experiencing the same problem?You are not giving us enough information. A singe move can easiy take more than one GB. Ehne you click on the iPod under Devices in iTunes on the computer a colored bargraph will show the discribution of storage used on the iPod. What does that show? If the "other" category is greater than about 1 GB you can restore yu iPod, sometimes to factory defaults/new iPod is required, to get it to its normal of about 1/2 GB.

Is there something wrong with the iPhone calc app?
The other day I needed to show my son how many paper punch cards would be needed to compete with the flash memory on my iPhone 4. Each punch card had 480 spaces on it, that could correspond to bits. In order to work out how many punch cards would be needed, I had to first figure out how many bits there were in 32Gb. The following calculation needs to be done in landscape mode, otherwise you ae unable to see the numbers properly on the display.
8 x 1024 x 1024 x 1024 x 32 = 274,877,906,944
Now for the interesting bit.
If I divide the amount of bits held in a 32Gb by the amount of bits on the old paper punch card I should get - 572,662,306.1333333333 recurring cards required.
Strangely the iPhone calc app believes that the number is just shy of 6 cards at 5.7266230613333e+8.
Now I know this is not some strange scientific notation because if I divide by a whole number such as 100 or 400, etc... then it gets the answer right. Further more with really big numbers, the iPhone calc app seems to loose the plot and provide incorrect answers. Other apps I have for calculation get the answer right, but not the iphone app.
Before anyone points out that Flash storage is done in 1000Mb's instead of 1024Mb's, I know. I was just doing a demonstration based on the actual figure of 32Gb, using the correct numbers based on a binary base. Storage manufacturers often use this as there manufacturing techniques do not work in the same way as the maths.
Anyone else seen this problem, and if so, what strange numbers can we get, highlighting the problem, so that it gets fixed in the next update. I think I shall have to try this out in Numbers on the iPhone, see if the problem is there to. As a passing shot I feel that this is a fundamental problem that needs to be addressed, and relatively quickly.
I am currently using iOS 5.0.1 on the iphone and iPad.Amazing...yet again an excuse for a 16 digit display that is incapable of displaying 572 million.... But funnily enough it will display something proper when divided by 400, or in other words, it resorts to moron system and prints '687,194,767.36'. Maybe we should all write everything in scientific notation...and forget this silly simplistic system of using numbers and commas to designate large numbers. For all you scientific types, they are no longer millionaires, no they will just be renamed "1.0e+6's". Even better, we could rename millionaires row, to something scientific. Yeah I can see that taking off.

Is there something wrong with the N97's GPS receiv...
Okay, i have 3 Nokia phones and a Samsung, with integrated GPS,
N97, E7, Lumia 925, and Galaxy note 4.
The N97 was not being used at all, it was simply lying in a drawer. Thought I'd charge up the N97, and use it as a GPS device,saving battery on the other devices.
But for some reason, the N97 takes forever to get a GPS fix.
I keep all the four devices side by side,
Within about 2 minutes, the Lumia and the Note 4 get a fix and show my exact position on the map.
Within about 3 to 4 minutes, the E7 gets a fix.
But the N97 just sits there, searhching for satellites. It gets a fix after about 10 minutes, but then again, the moment i take it to the car and start driving, it loses the fix and starts searching for satellites again. This doesn't happen with my other devices.
Is the N97 GPS weak by design? Or has my device gone bad as I haven't used it for so long?
Is there something I can do to make it better?

If you do not use GPS for several weeks, and you do not allow Internet in that time, the GPS receiver has to download the almanch again. In newer phones, Nokia fixed this issue by enhancing the GPS receiver software a lot – it downloads even when the screen is dimmed and uses WLAN as support – consequently it won’t take 20 minutes with a Nokia Lumia. Anyway, back to your Nokia N97: If you manage to download the almanch and use the Nokia N97 at least on a weekly basis for navigation, you get instant GPS fix, even without a SIM.
To download the almanch, I did:
Nokia N97 » Menu » Settings » Phone » Display » Light sensor » set to minimum
not to burn-out the display edges
Nokia N97 » Menu » Maps » Options » Tools » Settings » Navigation » Backlight » Always on
return to the map

Then, the alamanch should be downloaded two times. Now, the time to first fix should be within less than a minute even if you have one of those Nokia N97 with broken GPS hardware. By the way, you could go for a pay-as-you-go SIM (Prepaid). The alamanch download is much less than one megabyte (MB) and should not be that expensive. I really recommend A-GPS with a Nokia N97, especially if you do not use GPS every week and/or you start your jouneys at locations where the Nokia N97 did not finish its last navigation. My ipad doesnt want to charge in the car charger
What are the electrical specs of the car charger? The Apple wall charger is rated at 5V and 2A. If the car charger does not output 2A @5V, you'll get the not charging message. However, it will still charge, but very slowly.

Well that basically means you need to talk to your bank. You have tried using your card information so many times that it is blocked so you can use any credit card you want it will not go through. Speak to your bank first then speak to itunes through the expresslane and they can release your account if it is block on Apple's end. It is a security measure just in case it is not you using your card.

Is there something wrong with the size estimation of AME?
for some reason, i have a SD Blu-Ray project going, the total amount of footage is 23hr 19min. i created a timeline with all assetts in one timeline, i chose to encode that, finetuned the settings to where the media export combined is exactly 45 gb, saved that profile as a preset, drag and dropped all sequences to AME, applied the preset, and in my export folder, it is... 27.2 gb. huh?! i counted and it has all timelines, video and audio. they are all complete. but i have noticed this lately.... i'll set an export, and when it is done, the size is alot smaller than was estimated in AME.
i just did another test. 90 mminute timeline, AME says 3.37 gb, windows file properties says about 2gb for the audio and video file. hmmmm....
what gives?When using AME 6.0.3(Adobe Media Encoder) the file size estimates don't refresh when changing parameters. Really a bad thing for us because we upload 4 to 6 videos to the web a week and file size is critical. In version 5.5 the estimates were accurate and were quite convenient. Now guessing is the norm. Don't like guessing, paid to much money and wastes to much time to be guessing.
I have the Mercury hardware acceleration off because of a bug that won't render transitions smoothly while on.
Also have the "Invalid Menu Operation Error: that no one will address at Adobe. Come on guys.
I use this software in production everyday, you're supposed to make my life easier, not more complicated! -
My new macbook air is 10.7.3 s running hot, with the fan blowing after about one hour on the internet. It will also run very hot with the fan blowing when it is closed and in sleep mode, is this normal? My macbook pro did not do this.

My Macbook Pro 15" Early 2008 model had been running hot for a long time.
Checked Activity Monitor. (Applications/Utilities)
AdobeResourceSynchronizer was taking 83% of CPU usage.
Did a google search and found information regarding AdobeResourceSynchronizer causing high CPU usage and heat.

Problem seems to be Adobe Resource Synchronizer.app
To disable go to: System Preferences > Accounts
Click the Padlock icon, enter password if needed, click Login Items,
uncheck AdobeResourceSynchronizer
I don't know how this got install on this computer.
I suspect Adobe Reader. AdobeResourceSynchronizer.app is within the Adobe Reader application package.
Control Click (or right click) the Adobe Reader app, click Show Package Contents
Location: Applications/Adobe Reader.app/Contents/Support/AdobeResourceSynchronizer.app
Some other Adobe applications may also cause this to run.
After disabling this in System Preferences > Accounts, temperature seems to be acceptable.
Also start Adobe Reader X, go to Preferences, Tracker and in the "Automatically Check for New Comments and Form Data", slide the top slider all the way to the right so is says Never.
After having done all this and restarted the computer, check Activity Monitor again and see if
AdobeResourceSynchronizer is still running. If it is you can click on it so it is highlighted and click the Quit button in the upper left.
This solved my excess heat problem.
