My ipad resyncs all photos from scratch every single time that I connect it to itunes. The same is happening with my iphone. It takes a long time to prep the photos and then copy them. Why is this happening? Before this happened, since I don't take that many photos often, it would just breeze through the sync with just any new apps. Now, it takes forever to do any sync with itunes since it goes through this lengthy process of preparing the pictures, then copying them, every single time.

IPad quit synching photos from Aperture...

I've been very happily syncing photos from Aperture thru iTunes to my iPad. But just recently, when the sync starts copying photos I get the message "The iPad '...' cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found."
I've tried numerous things without success...
Restored the iPad
Deleted all photos from the iPad & then re-selected them for syncing
Repaired permissions w/in Aperture
Rebuilt the database w/in Aperture
I've tried syncing one small album (that I really have no interest in) and it did sync ok. I've tried syncing old iPhoto albums instead of Aperture and they sync ok. But I cannot get the desired albums/events/faces in Aperture to sync (I've tried syncing just individual albums/events/faces, thinking there was a problem in one of them, but haven't found one I want to work yet).
Recently updated to iTunes 10.1.2 -- don't think I've sync'ed changes in photo albums since that update.
Running Aperture 3.1.1.
Suggestions? Any idea what "the required file" might be? Thanks!

Bootcamp Freezes Every Single Time Partitioning

Can't seem to find a solution to this.
I am using the latest version of Bootcamp Assistant in 10.9.4 on a late 2012 iMac with a 3TB Fusion drive. Everything I've read says this drive is now supported for a Bootcamp partition.
Yet every time I do it, it starts all ok, finds Windows disc etc etc, then the partitioning process gets about 1/5 of the way through (just under the t in partitioning) and then freezes. The whole iMac runs slow as ****, Bootcamp Assistant can't be quit etc etc. The only thing to do is to hard turn it off with the power button, then run a repair disk in recovery to regain lost disk space. I have done this four times now. I have left the machine up to four hours and it doesn't progress the bar at all. Same place every single time.
Does anyone have any ideas as it's doing my head in. Unfortunately I need to test a few things in Windows for a client job and I need Bootcamp for it as it needs to run Direct X 11. Up until now I've been fine with Parallels. Incredibly frustrating.

Two things...
• Get rid if this preference.plist file in your /Library/Preferences folder:
com.microsoft.Word.plist
• Check/validate all fonts with Apple's Font Book (look in the Applications folder). Find and remove duplicates as well.
Start there to be sure all fonts that are in play come out with a clean bill of health.
Also, don't hesisate to perform wholesale deletion of old and/or little used fonts - be skeptical of anything that has come from Office 2008, including those related to an Equation Editor installation.

When turning PhotoStream on with photos available in the Camera Roll, only photos captured by the iPhone or saved on the iPhone are placed in the PhotoStream.
For all photos that were in the Camera Roll prior to turning PhotoStream on, import the photos with your computer and add the photos to your PhotoStream on your computer.

2) I Can't drag more than one piece of content from your iTunes library to any device (iPhone, iPad)
If you do it gets stuck for HOURS and HOURS in "Preparing To Update" and the little activity circle never completes, ever!!
I used to be able to drag over 1000 tunes, movies, etc. go have breakfast come back and it would all be on my device!!
Can't do it anymore, one song at a time, maybe an album at a time, or one movie, and that is it!!

This is so BAD, I don't understand how they don't have this fixed yet!!
Please tell me I am not the only one!!

I'm getting a message that my iCloud storage is almost full (5.0 GB, 186 mb remaining). I have transferred all photos from iPad and iPhone to Mac. I've deleted all but 200 photos on each of these devices. Data storage is still same.

I have transferred all photos from iPad and iPhone to Mac. I have deleted almost all photos from both (about 200 remaining on each). I do not store tunes or videos. After making these changes, I still have the same message in iCloud.

Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > Select your device (listed as 'This iPhone' or 'This iPad') then look at the next backup size. Compare the 'Next Backup Size' to the 'Backup Size' on taht same screen. If the next backup size is smaller, then you have successfully removed some content from your device.
Now the question still lingers as to why your iCloud is still showing so full right? Well, iCloud keeps the last 3 backups from each device. It doesn't duplicate them, but it uses an incremental backup system. So basically your device's backup will take up as much space on iCloud as the largest backup of the last 3 backups. With that being said, your iPhone and ipad will eventually shrink the size of your backup (if that next backup size is smaller) in about 3 days (3 backups assuming your iOS devices backup once as day when you are sleeping).
Can I expedite this? Well of course you can. If you want, you can Delete the backup from both of the devices via that same screen then go back to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, turn iCloud Backups back on, then backup now. Keep in mind that if you do this, it will clear out your last 3 backups (and cannot be undone), but it may also take a long while for your iPhone and iPad to complete that inital backup after deleting the old backups.
I hope this helps. (My Recommendation: Basically check what's in paragraph one, then it will works itself out in a few days.)

I don't think so, I think it stores them on the cloud. I just did a test on my own iPad and although I deleted the source image in the Photos app the image remains in the Photo Stream

You can't. iCloud is not for general file backup from a Mac. It's for backup up and syncing data between mobile devices and and Macs and The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: Backup and restore overview.

Why is i-tunes downloading my purchase from scratch every time I open it up? This means I can't watch the episode as it freezes after 10 minutes and says it has 12 hours to go until download is complete...
I have also found that the words get out of sync and I have to pause it for it to catch up. This happened on my old computer but I now have a new one and it is still doing it...

We just enable one computer to be the "Family" computer. I want to be able to consolidate all photos from the different users into one location. That way no matter wich user is login they can see and browse all the family photos. How can I do that? Do I need and external drive?

Move the iPhoto Library to the Users/Shared folder, or you can use an external disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Merge the Libraries as Larry says, with the paid version of Library Manager.
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Each account will have full access to the library, in fact, each account will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

Are these photos in your camera roll? If so, you can't delete them using iTunes, & if you've already imported them to your computer, but left them on your phone...you're not clear on that...I suspect whatever program you used to import them doesn't see them anymore...is that correct? If so, you'll have to either mark to delete one at a time, or use third-party software to delete them.
