My IPad's home button is really not working even though i did so many resets and stuff, How can it be fixed and how much does it cost?
hi my iPda was just bought last December for Christmas . It was given to me by my aunt and now My IPad's home button is destroyed. i dont know what to do. i did all the reset stuffs and it didnt work at all. I just found out that when you press it its half side of it sinks down. how much does it cost to fixed the home button and how manny days?

Email was working fine. Now not working even though nothing changed. Deleted acct turned off iPad turned on and added account again. Can receive mail but not send. Sometimes says relay not allowed sometimes different message.
Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if you can then send emails

After upgrading to Lion, Image Capture does not work, even though it is intel software. Gives error 9931. What gives?
Ouch, if it is indeed damaged, then sadly you need to restore the whole danged huge OS!
Didn't used to be this way before Lion/10.7.
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -

You cannot replace just the chip. If all of the various solutions suggested in Apple's support documents and here in these forums do not help, you will need to 1) take or send your iPhone to Apple for replacement, 2) pay to have an unauthorized third-party shop attempt repairs, or 3) attempt repairs yourself. The latter two options will void any further support from Apple.

I would like to design a poster, when I place my photos on the page
under the "links" "colour space" section it says the colour space is RGB not CMYK even though my document is set up as CMYK. Can/do i need to change this? i am worried it will be a problem when my poster goes to the commercial printers who want CMYKYes, it will be a problem. Convert the images in Photoshop using the printer's color profiles or a standard CMYK profile.

It’s really killing me and I want to destroy my IPhone.
I’ve already re-activated the home button but there is no use of that.
I am in middle east and I got my white I phone 4 by shipping in internet.
So what to do now?Should be under warranty take it back to any Apple store and they should clean the dust or debrib from it, remember to make an appointment first to see a Genius. (it's what I did)

IOS 7.1 Upgrade - home button double click not working most of the time

Not sure, if anyone else had encountered this issue after upgrading to iOS7.1.
I am using iPhone5S 32 GB and it was working fine with home button (double click, mostly used to see & close other applications running in background) till I upgraded to iOS7.1. After iOS7.1 upgrade, most of the time, I am unable to see running applications. After trying for 4-5 times, I managed to see running application

I do not know what to do or how I should go about fixing this.
Did all this happen at once, or over time? Have you plugged the device into a charger for at least a half an hour? After that amount of time, you can try a reset, hold the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. If it does not, then make an appointment with the Genius Bar at Apple. I would say the phone is broken.

When I double click Home button to change apps quickly, only the four apps that reside on the task bar show. All of my apps would show prior to my reset of the iPad last night (to fix the Home button). Any ideas on how to fix?
My undertanding is that when you double-click the home button, the apps that are shown are those that are currently active. The reason you are not seeing all of them is that not all of them are active. Before you can access an app in the multitask bar, it has to be turned on first. As a test, try accessing the Notes application. Return to the home screen by clicking the Home button ONCE. Once the home screen appears, double click the home button to bring up the multitasking bar. The Notes app should be on the far left.
