Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

I've had the below message quite a few times especially when I'm docked on my Sony RDP-XA900iP but normally tap on Close and that's it. I sync my iPad regularly to iTunes and backup to iCloud on that it seems with no problem.
Once it froze I tried turning off but will not let me swipe the 'slide to power off'. Connect to iTunes and it let me sync fine and download upgrades for my apps but no change to my iPad screen. Even changes the option from backup to iCloud to backup to computer and applied changes but still nothing.,,
Any ideas please.

HT4044 Part of my iPad(1st gen) screen display does not show,hence I can only see it partially.It was not dropped and neither is it broken. Any help as I was told it cant be fixed and i hv 2 replace with a new unit i.e. pay in full as warranty is over? HE

Part of my iPad screen display does not show. It was not dropped and neither is the screen broken. I was advised to see the local service provider for a diagnosis.
I had finally managed to find time to find a local service provider last week (not easy) and was disappointed to be advised of Apple's policy of one for one exchange i.e. they wont repair and said that i would have to replace with a whole unit. As my unit is no longer under warranty, it meant that I had to pay for the full price of a new unit!
I might as well have paid for the latest new unit but since my unit is only 2 years old at most, it would be a great waste of money.
How can this be? Does this mean apple's product is inferior and do not last since warranty is only for one year?
I sincerely hope there is a favourable solution otherwse my money is flushed down the drain.

This happened first a couple of weeks before, then I did a reset and it worked. Then after 2-3 days it happened again, I updated the iOS and it worked after that. Next time it happened, I tried all possible methods, including switching to software - rotation lock on/off. The hardware when turns to off/on, shows the correct icon on the screen of the lock and unlocked state. But the rotation is not happening.

Just check again.
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If the iPad screen still will not rotate - turn it over and gently tap it on the back a couple of times - but gently tap it. Make sure that the screen is protected.

IPad Screen problem green and fuzzy

I was happy with my Ipad going online and reading books for hours a day until recently when I turned it on! The screen is greenish and fuzzy like when you have a bad reception on a tv with an analog signal... please help! I have no access to a genius bar as I'm living in Dubai, I had mine shipped here from the online store.

Anyone having a problem with their screen looking like an old analog tv who's rabbit ears needed to be adjusted (or worse) should try tapping the upper right edge with their hand a few times before doing anything else. Such an easy fix-who'd of thought? Obviously not me and just as obviously, it is most likely a hardware glitch. I wish I had found this solution at the beginning of my day and not the end. I have a well loved, well used 1st gen Ipad. I had tried all solutions found on this page plus others....hard reboot several times, reset thru itunes, different usb cord, etc. and nothing worked. I had an unreadable screen. My last resort was a clean factory reset found using clear, precise directions from ipadforums.net I know this was successful because of the on-screen itune messages I was getting but at the end of it all, I still could not read my ipad screen. I walked away and had a pity party . I decided to do one more search for a possible solution and happened upon this page. 3 taps was all it took - a beautiful, clear, readable screen again. No apps, no music, no photos, no books, no magazines but it works again so I'm just going to hold on to that happy thought for right now.

5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

I have been dealing with this problem since upgrading to ios 6. I have an old ipod touch that is still running ios 5.? that backs up daily with no problem whatsoever. I have attemped every solution posted on these help boards (i.e. deleting accounts, turning off all apps from back-up, restarting device, changing routers, attempting back-ups through different wifi spots) sometimes one or a combination of these band-aid fixes will work for a day or two, then suddenly the ipad (version 3) will simply stop backing up, and I will spend hours of frustration going through all the tedious fixes. All the while my old ipod touch running ios 5 backs up daily with no problem whatsoever. I have called Apple support and they seemed surprised that this is a problem and offer no real solution whatsoever.
Until Apple gets their head out of the sand on this one, and actually fixes the obvious bug that exists is ios 6 this problem will continue and will not be resolved.

Sorry, you can't do that unless they are on your LAN. I don't know of any apps that will let you do it.
