My iPad seems to think today's date is 1st May. Any ideas how to fix it?

MY iPad seems to think today's date is 1st May. Any ideas how to fix it?

I think the clock no longer works.
If you set the time and date to somewhere around 2001, or 2005...it will probably keep the setting just fine. But around 2010, it stopped working.
Not broken, that is just the way it was made......many years ago!
