My Ipad shows an internet connection, but does no allow internet access

I cannot access the internet on my I pad. It shows 2 lines of connection

OK.....then try the reverse, go into settings > network and forget network settings. This will remove your router. Then reconnect (of course you need to remember your router password).

- Have you reset your iPod:

Ipad3 - Wifi apparently connected but does not allow access

i have some problems in the identify phase. I put alongside the old ipad1 64 gb 3g with the new ipad3 64 gb 4g. Apparently both connected to the network, but while the ipad1 connects without any problems, the ipad3 does not access the internet or mail. Then I have to disable the wifi settings and then re-enable it. Only in this way the ipad 3 works. This problem occurs both at home and in the Office
Hopefully it's just a software problem....

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I have done exactly as you say, but it does not work for me.
You indicated " Navigate to the info tab and scroll down. There'll be a check box for 'sync over wifi' or something to that effect. Check that box and sync to affirm your choice."
I navigated to Summary tab (not Info Tab) and checked "Sync with this ipad over Wi-Fi"
I disconnect the wire,
and my iPad disappears from my iTunes screen.
in my iPad ->Settings -> General -> iTunes Wi-Fi Sync -> says " Sync will resume when (my PC) is available.
So, I can not sync via wi-fi

Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.
Restart your IPad. Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Which means exactly what? One iPad can connect intermittently and one doesn't connect at all? This makes it sound to me like you are having WiFi issues with both of them. At least that's how I interpret your statement.
Start by rebooting your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

Been testing all day with no results.
The hosting company says there is no problem at there end. All mail can be found the their webMail.
iMac Mail connection doctors show all good connections.

Try rebuilding the mailbox. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Hey, i've tried connecting my ipod to my laptop itunes and it's not working. My laptop shows it's connected but itunes isn't showing it's there. i've tired reinstalling, taking itunes off rebooting the laptop and putting it back on. I don't know how to get it working. Plus on top i restarted my ipod and the choice between wifi and connecting to itunes i'm choosing itunes but it's still not showing up. I can use the help for the Windows 7 and ipod touch. Honestly i cannot remember sorry, i got it like 5 maybe 6 yrs ago and just started downloading things to it as the memory on the computer started filling up and when i wanted to see photos/videos on my TV.
My wife did tell me after i had written this post that she did try and record TV to it as it was plugged in. I think by doing so somehow has deleted everything. It reads on my TV yet has no files in it but won't show up on my computer. hope this helps.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Did you fail to back up your pics?
The photo sync is one way - comptuer to ipod.
You can e-mail them to yourself (instructions in the manual), but they will not be of the original quality.
