Not unless you have the "Find my iPad" app installed.
File a report with the BPD regardless.

You can set a Passcode lock remotely and find the iPad.
Without that app, you won't be able to locate the iPad remotely.

There is nothing Apple can or will do to deal with stolen property. Chang all of your passwords associated with accounts on the iPad so they cannot be accessed.
If you turned on Find My under iCloud on the iPad, and registered it in iCloud's Find My Phone, login to iCloud, click on Find My Phone and see if it shows up. If it does you can send a disable signal or wipe signal.

If you had iCloud enabled...
Go to www.icloud.com > iCloud
then login then click Find My iPhone (works for finding your Mac also)
This will only work if the Mac is turned on and Find My Mac was enabled in System Preferences > iCloud
If you did not sign up for iCloud before the Mac was stolen > Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
A stolen or lost device cannot be located from the serial number.

I do not have it with me, but is there another way to find the cerial number or another piece of information i could turn into the police? is there anyway of getting it back, Becuase i hav a good idea of who stole it, and i have some prove, but its just witness prove, no real prove.

I bought a 4g iPod touch 32g a while ago, and I want to know if it can be tracked down. I didn't have iCloud put on it & I used an app on another iPod to track it down using the apple account and no results were shown as if the iPod had been reset. Please let me know if it can be tracked down.

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with a bank or any other savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. This requires action before the device is lost/stolen. If the device has significant personal information, it should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

If you have solid reason to believe that this person has the iPod, tell the police. If you can present some sort of concrete evidence, they can get a warrant to search the house, though whether they will do so for a theft of such low magnitude (relatively speaking) I don't know.
Otherwise, sorry, there's no way to trace the iPod.

If they haven't already wiped it and started over, and you activated Find my iPhone on your iPad, you might be able to track it. If you did not activate Find my iPhone, you will not be able to track it. Apple will not help you. But, you should immediately go and change your Apple ID password, and any other passwords you use for accounts like Twitter, Facebood, Mail, Apps you make purchases with, like the Starbucks Mobile App, etc.
