My iPad will no longer connect to my Linksys wireless router. Every other electronic device in our house connects just fine. What can I do?
I have an iPad (the earliest version) that used to connect to my Linksys wireless router with no difficulty. One night recently I could not get on the internet through my iPad. I checked the Wi-Fi information, which said it was not connected. When I go through the process of choosing a network, on which my home system is clearly listed along with a very strong signal strength, I am told that my iPad is unable to join my own network. All the other electronic devices in our house are connected and functioning fine. Can anyone walk me through the steps to correct this problem?
I need to add that I took my iPad to the Appple store, and the clerk there reset something--I don't know what--and my iPad was able to connect to their network. When I came home, though, I was not able to connect to my home network.
If everything else is connecting with no issues, I would go into the wifi setting on the iPad and redo the info there, user, password and anything else related to your wifi at your house.
It is possible whatever he reset may have reset something to default setting which will not allow it to connect. If you need too then verify the wifi setting by comparing it with another device setting that works on your home network.
Good luck

Tried all troubleshooting; unplugged, reset all settings, disconnected and reconnected wireless
The device woked fine for over a month until today
All other devices in my home are working just fine
very frustrating
please helpBut my current sim card works just fine in my friends iphone 5...wouldnt the logic follow that the problem is with the device itself (the phone) and not the card?

Connecting itouch via Linksys wireless router
My itouch connects to my Linksys router but cannot log on to the internet ("server not found"}. My macbook connects fine and my itouch connects to other servers without problem. DNS, router # all are displayed on the DHCP panel and look fine. Any ideas??
I'll repeat some steps to try that I posted in another thread ... some of these you may have done, but take note of #4, that's what bit me and I don't see that posted anywhere else.
1- Turn on SSID broadcast if it is turned off. Your Touch needs to see the network in order to connect for the first time. You may be able to turn SSID broadcast off at the end, if you feel its necessary.
2- Check the encryption type you're using (WEP or WPA) and whatever security code is being used. Make a note of that.
3- Check to see if you have MAC Address filtering enabled. If so, disable it temporarily.
4- Check to see if your router is set to only issue a maximum number of IP addresses. It bugged me for a long time why I could randomly get on my network sometimes, but not always. Turned out that my router was issuing a max of 4 IP addresses and when my Touch couldn't connect, it was because the max had been reached!
5- Now see if your Touch sees your network ID. If so, select it and enter the passcode from step 2.
6- If you're able to get on your network, check to see that your router sees the MAC Address of your Touch. Make a note of that address and add it to the MAC Address filter if you're going to turn it back on (see step 3).
7- (optional) Change your home network to use Open DNS (http://www.opendns.com/), which has nothing to do with your Touch's ability to connect to your home network, but has some nice security and administrative features. -
My friends MacBook connected easily to my wireless, but why not the ipod touch? When prompted for "Password" I enter the security key info and nothing, nadda....zip. The MacBook asks for the "Security Key" info not "Password", like the touch. What's the difference?
Click on the blue arrow to the right of the network name, if IP address starts with "169." ,restart your router. It should connect properly after your router reboots in a minute or two.

Trying to connect to a Linksys wireless router
Hello everyone, I have a MBP running leopard version 10.5.4. At this time Im staying a a friends house and he has a Linsys wireless G router. He has the system protected and Im trying to connect to it using his password. The system does not allow me to connect saying that it is an incompatible security. I have no idea how to deal with the situation and he rather keep his system protected.
Any suggestion on how to deal with the router.
Thanks in advance.
LeoYou've probably selected a security method that's different than what his router is set up to use. Find out whether he's using WPA2, WEP, etc. and use the same scheme.

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

My iPad will no longer connect to my iPhone's wifi
My iPad will no longer accept my iPhones wifi. It just says "unable to join network". I have reset my iPad and it still won't connect. It has been getting harder and harder to connect for weeks and now it just refuses to connect. I called support and they want to charge me $300 to help me. I do not have those kind of funds so I am really hoping someone on here has ha this issue and knows how to resolve it without paying someone an arm and a leg.
So your are attempting to connect your iPad to your iPhone hotspot from the sounds of it. Have you tried resetting the network settings on your iPhone? Also try renaming your network name and changing your password just to test like network name "test" and password "password1234" will it connect then. Let me know how it works out or if the issues still persist.

Hi,
When Zeen's battery level goes below 5 %; it tends to Reset to Default where it looses all the connections and sync to the printer or router.
So its very important to make sure that Zeen's battery does not go to low. To avoid this I would suggest to charge Zeen regularly.
You may try the steps below as of now and check the results.
We need to Factory Reset the Zeen making sure it is connected (Docked) on the C510a printer.
Once it is docked try the steps below:-
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02844556&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_us...
Open the above link; and then perform the Factory Reset as shown in Solution Two.
Once completed try connecting to Wireless and check the results.

My Ipad will no longer airprint. It was printing until 3 days ago. I have an HP5510 which is in the list of air print. I can email picture to the printer however that is time consuming. I can not figure out why it stop performing this option.
motherof375Have you tried rebooting your routher, printer and the iPad?
Unplug the printer and the router for about 30 seconds, plug the router in first and let it start up, plug the printer in again and reboot the iPad while the printer is restarting.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
