My ipad will not connect to anything that uses the internet.

I have owned it for over a year and suddenly it exits out of Safari, Netflix, iTunes, iBooks.... etc. It's not the wifi itself because we have Apple laptops that work just fine. I click on iTunes and then it just exits out of it and goes back to the homescreen. This is just irritating the BEJEZUZ out of me and I feel like smashing it right now! This has been going on for a few weeks now HELP!!!

Try two things:
1. Unplug (literally) your router for a few seconds, then plug it back in
2. Reboot your iPad: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go fo both buttons and your iPad will restart.
See if you can then access the internet.........

Do you mean that the iPad won't switch on ? If you do, then assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Or do you mean something else ?

Possibly. Do you have other devices and will they connect?
One possible thing that it could be is that the USB port on your iPad has gone bad. It happened to mine. Couldn't sync, could barely charge (it said 'not charging' even when plugged into the wall)
I'd take it to the apple store, see if they can replicate it, and if they can, then they can diagnose it. Just back it up before you go, in case they do exchange it.

Are you plugging it into a pc? If so it will not charge the iPad as there is not enough power try the back USB ports, may work.
If it isn't plugged into a pc and plugged into your socket could be faulty socket adapter.

YouTube and it's app is always evolving. What used to work may no longer work, not necessarily because of the app itself or the device itself but possibly because of certain protocols that are required when accessing YouTube. I had the same situation happen on an iPad 3 running an older iOS version along with an older version of the YouTube app. My ultimate solution was to update the app but that also required updating the iOS as well.
if you are on iPad 1, that may no longer be possible since the maximum iOS for that model is iOS 5.1.1. If your iOS is already at that version and the YouTube app is also maximized, then you're out of luck using the official YouTube app. With the iPad 1, you'll be running into incompatibility issues more and more as iOS advances and apps advance...while the iPad 1 is stuck.

I have synced my ipad with my computer. It listed on my updated ITunes account. But, the Ipad will not connect to the internet to open the store or my apps. Really enjoyed the Apple Store. The "Genius" was pretty helpful. Since he could not be in MY environment, he was able to prove that my IPad was able to connect to the Apple Store network, no problem. So my device is not faulty. He told me how to reapproach the hook up at home that evening, but felt I probably really most benefit by contacting our Verizon Tech Support for specific info on our router connection. That is what was must helpful. When I called Verizon, they were quick to explain all the coding on our router box and that I needed the Wep Key Code entered as "password" (not anything we would have created). And that all O's in the code were the NUMBER Zero, not the letter, which helped. THEN, he pointed out that I needed to POWER OUT completely on the IPad, which I had not discovered before to do an official RESET! I had just been tapping the button at the top of the device, which only moves the device into "Sleep" mode. But, by HOLDING DOWN the button I got the prompt to slide to the bar over to POWER OFF! Of course, this did the trick. I was THEN able to attempt my RE-connect, with the proper CODE and it worked immediately! Yippee!!! Safari connected immediately to the internet and the App store opened with no problems. I think I am good to go! Thanks for your time and help.

Ipad will not connect to WiFi

I know my WiFi connection is working fine but I can't get the Ipad to connect to it. It was fine until I tried connecting an Airport Express using the Ipad, went through the whole tutorial and at the end I got the "unexpected error ocurred" message, I canceled and unplugged the Airport, but now the Ipad will not connect to my WiFi, please help!!

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Since I upgraded to OS 6 my ipad will not connect to my WiFi unless I am right next to it. if i walk more than three feet away it looses connection. I have tried the brightness, resetting the network settings, changing the channel on my router...help. I have century link in Phoenix arizona. modem/router is a
ZyXEL - PK5000Z. It seems to work ok on my work wifi.
My iphone and netbook work perfectly with it. I do have an upgrade to the software on my iphone, but I fear that will loose wifi as well.

IPad will not connect to air play

I can not get my iPad 4 to connect to Apple TV. It will connect if I go through the process of resetting up the Apple TV, but once I stop the connection the iPad will not reconnect. I've rebooted the iPad and the Apple TV. They are both on the same network. They both have the latest software. I start the Apple TV and I do not get the airplay icon on my iPad. I need help.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

If you are still having problems after all those tips I would suggest trying another cable the one you have may be faulty. An iPhone cable is fine for sync, but wouldn't suggest it for charging. Other than that call apple support, log a problem, and most likely they will help you book a appointment at an apple store.
I use a win7 64x machine and have no problems so I doubt windows is your issue.

Our ipad will not find wireless networks that it used yesterday. Our Mac Book Pro finds them and uses them.
we have reset the cable modem and wireless router, turned off the ipad and turned it back on. Turned wireless off and back on.
but it just spins trying to find networks but finds none.
What do do next?

Settings for wireless network connections are actually stored in two separate places on your Mac, so in addition to the correct advice offered by Jolly Giant, you will also need to delete old network listings in KeyChain Access.
Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > KeyChain Access
Locate the name of the wireless network that you want to delete and click it to highlight it
Click Delete on your keyboard
It would be a good idea to go ahead and also delete the current connection as well in case it has become corrupted. This will clear out the old settings and when you next connect to the network and enter the password, the new settings will be preserved.

My ipad will not connect to anything that uses the internet.
